Went for a family Sunday roast dinner we were very disappointed with the meal , why can’t the chefs present a proper roast dinner instead of putting all the food on top of each other the meat was small amount and with a very small amount of vegetables will not be going there again.

Sunday lunch

We stayed at The Greyhound for three nights in March. It is a lovely pub, with great food.  We had a lovely room which was very comfortable and spotlessly clean.  All the staff were very friendly, but Mark especially made us feel extremely welcome and was very knowledgeable about local places to visit.  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Super friendly, great pub

A very pleasant stay for a couple of nights. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the accommodation was ideal for our needs and the food - both evening meals and breakfasts were excellent.
Facilities in the room were very good and it was very clean.
The location is good if you want a quiet stay.

Lovely quiet location.

Stayed for one night, with our 9 year old grandson, surprised to find it was closed on a Monday, but I hadn’t read the detailed email explaining this to us, but gaining access to our room was easy. Well impressed with the room, facilities, bed and bathroom, we all had a great night sleep after visiting Sandbank and seeing how the other half live. Breakfast next morning was busy but staff kept everyone happy and the food was of a good standard and plentiful, to feed us up for our day visit to the nearby Tank Museum.

Excellent Value for Money

Stopped here on way back from day trip to West Country  , lovely and clean, warm welcome and pleasant waiting staff.
We both ordered fajitas , one salmon one chicken,  they got the order wrong but quickly rectified,  lovely food, decent amount of side salad , room for dessert which were delicious,  would recommend and visit again as a stop off when travelling to the west 

Had an overnight stay here and was very pleasantly surprised by the standard of the accommodation for the price. We had a room with sitting room, spacious bathroom and separate bedroom. Was more like being on holiday rather than a BnB. Room was clean, bright and airy. Had a small fridge in the sitting room with water and fresh milk. Had the usual tea and coffee facilities too. Breakfast was served quickly and hot, which I like. Also had a couple of lattes at no extra cost again, which I like! All in all I can highly recommend The Greyhound . The owners are very pleasant and attentive. Only down side is they aren't open on a Monday so we had to go out for Dinner, no biggy! Thank you very much for a lovely overnight stay Emma and Andy

Great overnight stay

Excellent food and service with lovely decor. Very clean. Really recommend it as somewhere to stay and eat. Will make this our default halfway stop in future when travelling from Winchester to Weymouth. 

Food visit

Booked for three nights and warmly welcomed. Room 4 seemed very small for a Deluxe Double room, as booked via Booking.com. I feel there was a booking problem here. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom, although small was very clean with a great shower. There was some fan noise during the night from outside. Disappointed that the pub was shut on Mondays, only breakfast was available, as we did not know this before booking. The food is of a very good quality, breakfast is a delight. The evening meals are very well cooked and a reasonable choice from the menu, Sunday roast is a very good value meal.. The whole pub has a nice ambience to it and looks fairly new. All the staff we dealt with were extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful. Thank you to them all. If we stayed again I would ask not to have the same room.

Three nights for the first time.

Good location in a quiet village with plenty of parking. Very helpful staff and good food.
I stayed in room 2 which is spacious, with a comfortable bed. However the room was  very cold and heating only came on in early evening for just a few hours. The manager tried to help but had problems with the timer. I had to wear an over coat for the first few hours. The room was let down by mould on the bathroom ceiling, a broken towel rail and shower head which couldn't stay elevated. The light bulb over the bed was not working so lighting was poor. If more attention was made to the room then the rating would have been higher. Providing some tissues would also be beneficial

Overnight stay at convenient location

We travelled 7 hours to visit the tank museum with our son so I picked this hotel by chance as it was close to the museum. First off the young lady and gentleman who were working that day and night (05.11.22) were outstanding. So friendly yet professional.  We were shown to our room which was much bigger than I expected and it was perfect for us. Very comfortable bed with the heating turned on as it was quite cold outside. Our evening meal was lovely, the food was excellent quality and we really enjoyed it. Breakfast was superb just what we needed before we headed home. Overall beautiful place,would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
