Me and my nephew stayed two nights as we came down to watch Newcastle plays wolves. So we booked this hotel thinking we was getting a good deal. Omg I wish I had of just slept in my car it would have been 1000% better than what we payed for we arrived at 9pm and we was Hungary asked reception where was a nice place to eat and her answer was no idea very abrubt towards us. We git our room and it was filthy there was lots sweets on the floor wrappers and amongst other crap the wardrobe was broken the room was freezing no heating at all had to sleep in my cloths. We wanted a shower but could not have one as the towels where absolutely disgusting they where dirty as hell. The shared bathroom was horrendous  
Overall the whole place should be condemned  and shut down God knows if I have caught anything from there. But it is that good all saying YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. PLEASE DONT BOOK HERE

Booked a one night stay at the queen Victoria hotel in Wolverhampton on 24th September, on arrival of the hotel we was instructed to are room which was in another building of the hotel , this would of been helpful if we was shown to are room as wasn’t clearly signposted , 

The room was adequate but was dated , the room did not have no bed side lamps and a chair was used for one side of the bed , we requested extra bedding due the the pillows on the bed were very thin and wouldn’t be supported enough or to aid a comfortable night sleep, we did ask for more but wasn’t much help being the pillows that was given was just the same , so had to use towels and are belongings to aid comfort, we asked for extra facilities to use eg iron, ironing board , the hotel receptionist told us they did not have one , 

On waking up in the early hours of the morning to use the bathroom we came across to what appeared to be a nest of wasps gathered around both light fixtures in the bathroom and swarming the bathroom, this became a hazard not only because the bathroom was not able to be used but also for my partner that has an allergy to wasps which resulted in having to seek medical  treatment due to anaphylaxis ,

With lack of attention to detail and this matter from the hotel, I feel that in an emergency situation the hotel would fall flat and this would be un safe , especially if you had children staying with you !!

Unsafe, avoid at all costs

Booked a room with 2 twin beds for one night via bookings.com. On arrival the wrong room had been set aside and no alternative other than a refund available. Had to book another hotel at inflated prices at the last minute.

Inadequate room

I was attending a function down the road & needed a bed for the night
The QV was clean,comfy, & all that I required of a room for the night
A sink in the room for washing & cleaning teeth, a bathroom across the landing
The young lady on reception was very pleasant & helpful, upon my arrival
The bed was very comfy & exactly what I would expect for the price I paid
it was nice to come back to a warm & comfy bed after my night out
It delivered all that I required & expected
I would certainly book there again

A nice & clean basic hotel, perfect for the price point

Room was very cold 3 radiators in the room only 1 working properly in the bathroom, the room was freezing cold and it smelt of sulphur, the inside of the kettle in the room was yellow so I steered clear of drinking out of that, the only good thing was the bed was comfy and that’s about it glad I was only there for 1 night, I won’t be recommending this place to anyone, I’d stay well clear of this place if I was you

Dreadful place!! Horrible staff!! Even had the cheek to send me a rude email because I sent them a low scoring review back!!! Don’t waste your time and money in this place, you will be disgusted!! The place needs gutting!!

Love this hotel me and my partner stayed here 3 nights this week,rooms are lovely and clean and cosy.owner is really friendly and helpful,looking forward to staying here again around new year!anyone wanting breakfast there's a lovely cafe up the road

If I could give a zero I would. Even before we arrived, the man on the phone was unhelpful. He seemed confused that we had a reservation with them that day, even though the reservation was made in July. We arrived and checked in and to our disappointment, the rooms were not the cleanest. Suppose for how cheap it was, it made sense. We had multiple issues with our key cards and all we got was keep them away from your phone. Even keeping them away from the phone didn't help. We had paid until Monday but due to circumstances, we had to leave early. We politely notified them of our situation change but were told we had to leave Sunday by 10:30am as that when check out time is. We had someone knock on our door Sunday morning telling us we had to be out. We paid up until Monday so there was no reason for us to leave by 10:30am. We were then accused of leaving dirty towels full of vomit in the room and charged (money was taken before being notified). Not one of us was sick the whole weekend and when asked for evidence, they sent photos from a different room. Scammers! Needless to say we will not be back. Service appalling and management rude.

Do Not Waste Your Money

Terrible terrible “hotel”. Place was disgusting. Staff were rude. Their keycards didn’t work if placed next to anything other than a single molecule of air. To which they’ll insist you’ve ruined them by putting next to a phone or another card. On top of that they’re charging a soiling charge for a room than clearly isn’t ours in a scam to make more money from people. Avoid like the plague. These people are despicable. I’d rather have slept in my car for the weekend.

Hotel is clean enough, three of us shared a room, it had tea and coffee facilities in the room and tv, the bathroom was down the hall, the lock on the door of the bathroom was stiff so we didnt bother locking it and hoped for the best, Hotel not far by taxi to racecourse only cost about £5, breakfast we got in town in weatherspoons, good enough place to stay for a quick overnight stop
