We went for the 1940’s weekend at Woodhall Spa. Everything about the hotel was top notch.
The staff were very friendly and helpful; the food was excellent, and the accommodation had everything we wanted. Excellent!!

A weekend at the Golf Hotel.

Stayed 1 night while on business in the area, staff are fantastic, friendly and willing to spend time discussing whatever you want.
Room was a good size, very clean and best night sleep ive had in a while.
Food was honest, tastefull and a good price.
Will definitely be returning when next in the area.

Good honest hotel

This lovely hotel is like a home from home for us. 

We stayed for the 1940's weekend and the whole town was heaving. Even then, the people who worked there and the owners all pulled together and the atmosphere was happy and friendly.

We had a super time and we are already plotting our next stay there.

1940's Weekend

my husband and I stayed overnight, just an overnight break as he is nhs and needed a break. Staff were friendly, reception already has tree and decs up, and all looks nice. The bar is modern and nicely decorated, and has a good range of drinks, as well as a large television. Breakfast was buffet style and included in price. I would definitely stay again

lovely hotel, friendly staff

Excellent bedroom, nicely furnished. Evening meals very good!   Best fish and chips ever (very generous portion indeed)! Good large car park. Large bathroom, with slightly weird layout. The wash basin was under a window, but the mirror was on an adjacent wall over the toilet. To shave, had to move constantly between the basin and the mirror (odd, but not a major problem)!   Generally, quite satisfied and would be happy to return.

More than happy!

We stayed here as a friends catch up\hen party.I live locally but staying here enabled us to be together without having to cook and distractions of family life.On arrival we were greeted by a super helpful friendly lady at reception who then over saw our whole stay nothing was too much trouble and we felt really looked after.We would return just for that alone.Obviously our stay is during covid restrictions but we felt safe and the hotel felt a safe enviroment.Renovations are happening and she will be beautiful when finished you can already see what she will be come.Food was simple traditional fare not a huge menu but a very good one better to excel at a few than too many poorly cooked choices.I had a juicy fresh prawn cocktail and a delicious succulent well cooked steak,breakfast hot and very tasty with an excellent choic
e of cereals,yoghurt etc.Would totally recommend for a relaxing break with welcoming staff.Would I stay again definitely would have loved to stretch to a few more nights but family life called!!

Fabulous staff

This is a priceless gem of a hotel situated in the most idyllic setting of Woodhall Spa.

We booked a table for an evening meal and were greeted by the lovely lady owner. Our meal was superb, served hot, could not fault at all. Staff were all extremely friendly & helpful, nothing was too much trouble. 

Already booked to return for a couple of nights in July. Much to do and see in the area, can’t wait to come back!

Excellent Sunday evening meal

We booked last minute as original hotel had flooded. 
Greeted by warm and friendly staff. Must say all staff were great throughout stay

Good covid precautions in place.

We got to our room and we eere really please.It was bright and clean and tastefully furnished. 

The bed was very comfortable and pillows soft and thick. The TV was a good size .There was a fan in place which was a welcome addition.
Tray supplied for tea and coffee well stocked .It had disposable cups too.

Food was gorgeous and staff there very nice too. Prices very reasonable. 

We had a great nights sleep.Didnt hear a sound.

We will definitely stay again !

Great stay

I arrived very late at night (1am) and there was a friendly chap on reception who sat and chilled with me for a while which was appreciated. Getting to the room was a bit of a pain because it’s all stairs, but once I was in it was really well turned out (see pic). 
Pros: 
Comfy bed and pillows (and I’m picky).
Nicely decorated. 
Spacious. 
Blackout curtains. 
Powerful shower.
Friendly staff.
Good selection of tea and coffee in room. 
Very clean. 
Contemporary decor throughout. 
Breakfast was a buffet, and although not the best, it was ok. Food was a little dried out and no fresh eggs.

Cons:
No USB chargers in the rooms. 
Laminated signs in room explaining about shower operation. 
The gardens could do with some landscaping. 
Towels on the bed rather than in the bathroom. 
The windows were a bit manly and could do with an overhaul. 

But I’d stay there again. 
Plug hole was very slow draining.

Nice hotel with a few revisions

As we arrived our first sight of the front of the hotel was ‘wow’ this looks great, built in the 1880’s in an attractive Georgian style. Walking through the front door to reception our hearts sank a little as ‘modernisation’ had crept in and somewhat muted  our initial smiles. But never judge a book by its cover, so from then on in our stay just got better and better. Every member of staff that we come into contact with were just brilliant and couldn’t do enough for us, professional, courteous, big smiles and above all made us feel extremely safe with the Covid safety systems they have implemented and observe to the letter. We had booked in for dinner and breakfast the following day and both meals were just outstanding. The room was immaculate, clean and very comfortable with a huge bed! The only thing that was disappointing was the poor WiFi signal in our room but that was the one and only negative. In summary a wonderful place to stay, outstanding food and a great team of staff who will ensure you have a fabulous time.
