Stayed here last night with 6 pals on a stag night. Rooms are warm and clean. Hosts couldn't do enough for us from the minute we arrived. Locals made us feel welcome. Woke up this morning to a gorgeous fry up breakfast. Great friendly  atmosphere and would highly recommend if your looking for a group ov you stay in the wrexham area. 

Would recommend for a group staying 

Stayed here with a group of friends. Rooms were clean and tidy, showers and toilets are basic but again very clean. Saturday night was brilliant, live music ( we all agreed it was the best band we’d ever heard). The locals made for a great evening, we were all made welcome. Breakfast set us up for the day ahead. 
The only downside was, the swimming pool and gym were closed for maintenance.
If you want to enjoy quality accommodation and people, this is the place to stay. 5 stars guys, thank you all

Awesome stay

The place isn’t the ritz,,, but ideal for our group of lads that were on a stag do quad biking and white water rafting nearby,,, the staff were superb, the owner was a really friendly lovely guy,,, the drinks were cheap, you didn’t need a band as the locals provided enough entertainment, never laughed so much in years, plenty to do nearby, the breakfast was amazing!

Sorry for the rude c***s below, We all had an amazing time.  
For the £25 a might you pay, you cannot argue it. The hosts are lovely friendly people and sorted out the issue with the rooms straight away.  (we were missed sold from the company we booked through, not the landlord) 
If you're booking a stag this is a perfect place to stay! Cheap drinks, nice views and plenty to do near by!

You get what you pay for!

Couldn't even stay for 1 night and booked into another hotel.  Photos seen was not what you got sonclearlybfalse advertising.  Kitchen had a kettle yet no sink.  Old bunk beds not suitable for the older folk and clearly hadn't been cleaned.  Can't understand how they get away with still trading as a bnb as you wouldn't allow your pets to stay there.  No refund offered and the state of the place and complaints didn't seem to phase the landlord.  Definitely wouldn't recommend staying at this bnb even if you were desperate.  Absolutely disgusting!

Upon arrival the place looked like and abandoned hostel , we were given our keys to find fully
Grown adults are expected  to share single bunk beds when we had been shown different photos of our accommodation, under the duvet was the last users hair I hoped from there head. The rooms were covered in stains and I don’t think it’s ever been hoovered, even found a spare sock under the bed but I didn’t dare to touch it, the showers are communal but they were hot, it’s a long walk from the room to the toilet/showers,Half of our group couldn’t bare to stay and booked a different hotel,I couldn’t get a full nights sleep with the noisey beds and flooring,we all went for breakfast in the morning and found our cutlery had old food stains a friend could actually stick his knife to his thumb it was very impressive, I had read the reviews about it but now I’ve experienced it there definitely all true, it’s like a house of horror!! The whole place has been badly patched over the years I can’t believe there still in business, I’ve attached a photo of the glamourise entrance

Horrendous

Had a great time here. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere, Covid compliant. Excellent value drinks, supportive and extremely helpful staff. Rooms were in good clean condition, as described (bunk beds/ shared rooms etc).  Clean beds/ bedding and towels provided. Basic shower and toilet facilities- perfectly good for the job- decent hot water supply. Breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day.

The surround scenery was spectacular with some impressive walks/ trails very close by.

The staff and locals completed a really cool, enjoyable weekend- thanks so much!

This is a Superb base from which to attend events across the area, into England and also Mid Wales. Recommended - would visit again!

Stag do base

If you have ever watched a horror movie based in a outback village then you get what to expect. The rooms in the hotel brought back memories of A young offenders institute, even down the hearing the squeaky Bunk beds at 3 in the morning as ben was flicking his bean. In the morning our first breakfast was served by Mavis who had previously been on a bender and was sweating out her previous night debauchery all over our food. Cuttlery had a years worth of food already on them so we had plenty to eat. Mavis presented our food and the eggs were resembling a burnt rubber tyre and the toast was so hard we could have used it to fend off the locals. To be fair beer was cheap, the locals were funny and we were constantly drunk meaning our vision and perception were giving us the opinion that the place was the bomb. Day 2's breakfast was actually really good. During the corona virus obviously we were worried about social distancing until we realised that the locals were really keen to keep there Distance anyway and when we arrived home we were gonna isolate for 7 days anyway just to recover from the crazy weekend and also just to be sure we didn't catch some sort of rare disease from the hotel beds. All in all this is a quality place to stay if you want to experience a time that man forgot and a place that is stuck in the past. Brilliant

The Stag-do 2020

8 of my friends and myself booked to stay at this place for 2 nights as part of a stag weekend. We were looking forward to our weekend together until we were greeted with the state of this so-called hotel. 

This “hotel” is NOT a hotel. It’s a smelly old pub that doesn’t only require a fresh lick of paint but complete reconstruction. 

The rooms were freezing cold when we arrived and a strong smell of damp had set into the building. 

We didn’t dare to use the mould-infested bathroom. 

The rooms had mouldy window frames and the walls were also showing signs of mould that had been painted over to hide it. 

One of the beds had bugs and dead spiders in it. Our room had a moth in the room that must’ve died about 3 years ago. The carpets were smelly and probably never saw the underside of a vacuum cleaner in their entire existence. 

The beds have been destroyed to the extent that the head and footboard have extremely sharp edges that could slice you open if you accidentally catch yourself on it. 

We unfortunately had to stay for 1 night because all other nearby options were sold out for the night. We were so desperate to get out that we booked to go to Liverpool instead. That’s how horrendous it was. Avoid at all costs and please close down until you’ve refurbished the whole place. 

How is this legally allowed to be a hotel?

I was pleased to be able to get a room here at short notice. Yes it's an old pub. I had a very pleasent and comfortable room. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Clean all round.

Great staff. And a good view.
