My wife and I have just had a two night stay at Primrose Lodge. We were both thoroughly impressed. We received a very warm welcome with tea, coffee and homemade chocolate cake!

My wife had mobility issues which were catered for - a ramp was made available and there was a seat in the shower for her to use.

The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. The shower was effective and we had bath sheets, most suitable for a larger gentleman like myself.

The breakfast was AMAZING. Freshly baked bread each morning with homemade jams (delicious - I tried them all - plum, raspberry, blackberry, gooseberry). Cooked breakfast was tasty and filling, particularly enjoyed the sausage.

Deborah was a warm and engaging host who made our stay enjoyable.

Lovely visit

What a wonderful B&B. Deborah was very welcoming and accommodating to our needs. 
The rooms are a good size and well looked after.  The location of the B&B is situated on the east side of York allowing to explore the North York Moors & Coastline very easily.
Very good value, great owners and the cake on arrival was a great touch.

We stayed for 2 nights what a great place to stay the host was absolutely brilliant the breakfast was top notch great choice the bedroom was very comfortable & very spacious bonus of having a kitchen opposite with the use of fridge,microwave washing machine ECT. hope to return in early December

2 night stay

We are Indian travelers stayed in primrose with family. We couldn’t find a single problem during our 4 nights stay here in primrose . The family room en-suite large we booked was like a small house with a fully equipped kitchen next door. It’s was absolutely pleasant stay here. Deborah the host was so caring and taken care all our needs. The breakfast was so delicious and cooked well, lot of parking available within the compound itself. Lot of hot water available, every day room cleaning, as I said you couldn’t will not find any single issue to complain Deborah and her Primrose facility . The cost was also very less as well compared to any other facility in YORK. We will definitely come back to Primrose to play cricket within the premises as we did for 4 days., we loved it ,Deborah given a hard cricket ball and bat for us to play 😄. We wish them all the very best and they are the best in hospitality.

What can I say. Everything about Primrose Lodge is excellent, from location, accommodation and food. Also, Deborah goes the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We were visiting York and decided to stay just outside of the city. It was a good decision, and we couldn't have found anywhere better than Primrose Lodge.

Just Brilliant

My partner and I needed a few days away. 
Primrose Lodge was the perfect getaway. The accommodation was beautiful. 
On arrival we was welcomed with tea/coffee and cake- a real lovely touch. 
The room was very modern and clean. Had all you could possibly need and more. 
Breakfast was great! A lovely selection and all done with a smile and friendly manor. 

The location was ideal. Park and ride just down the road to take you into York. Loads places to eat and enjoy.

In the evenings there was a great selection of takeaway menus in the room. But we chose to go out. Lots of places locally to go too. 

A truly lovely few days. Would highly recommend.

Brilliant get away!

Lovely rooms, delicious breakfast with homemade bread and friendly owners. Lots of little extras to make your stay perfect, drinks and cakes on arrival, advising on travel into York, proper milk in the kitchen. Will definitely be returning!

Fantastic B&B

This is our second visit this year and we booked again because we were visiting the Christmas Market in York and visiting a friend nearby.Deborah who is the owner is so friendly you feel at home straight away,we had room 3 which is clean spacious a good shower toiletries TV etc but the best is a slice of homemade cake in your room on arrival.Breakfast is excellent lots of choice homemade bread & jams full English or a choice of eggs on breakfast baps cereal yoghurt.We are definitely coming back again next year.

Second visit Great

I needed to stay somewhere close to the company where I was working.
Primrose lodge was recommended and was excellent. 
Deborah was welcoming and in the absence of a restaurant explained all options for a evening meal ... there was also a community kitchen had I felt the need to cook.

The room was well appointed perfect for my needs 

Deborah even got up to prepare an early breakfast for me.

A great alternative to the large corporate alternatives.
