We stayed at Bootham House for four nights during our visit to York. The property was extremely clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed including a dishwasher and washing machine. We were pleasantly surprised to have fresh scones, butter, and jam waiting for us when we arrived. The location was fantastic - just outside of the city walls near the Minster. York is a very walkable city, and we were able to walk to all of the main attractions, including the Minster, Jorvik Viking Center, and the Museum Gardens. 

If you are going to visit York, we highly recommend staying at Boohtham House.

Great, comfortable, centrally-located  place to stay in York

Had a lovely stay in a very comfortable room with a great location. Bed was very comfortable had a great nights sleep. Enjoyed the book in my room which gave clear instructions for radiator,shower wifi etc. Aswell as providing good tips for places to eat drink and visit.Communication from the host was thorough yet not intrusive.
Only negative is your not allowed to eat hot food in the room and sometimes at the end of an evening my partner and i do enjoy a takeout (especially if the drinks have been flowing) Apart from that it was great. Definately would stay again.

Great comfortable stay

Had a one night stay, excellent! the host was lovely, very welcoming and friendly ! There was even a fan in the room as it was a very hot day! Which just topped it of! Room decorated lovely, really cosy and clean.

If you’re looking for a great base, close to the city centre then this is for you. Very clean, beautiful room and lovely breakfast.  Parking permit available at a cost of £8 per day which is also really helpful .. would stay here again

Highly recommended

When we arrived we were greeted by Andrew who was very friendly and bubbly, he showed us a map of York and took us to our room, which was fantastic.
We were free to come and go as we pleased. Next morning we were welcomed to breakfast by a lovely young lady who offered us toast and bacon and eggs and I have to say it’s by far the best bacon I have ever had!!
We will definitely be back, thanks for a great stay.

Lovely B&B, Friendly staff

Had a fantastic weekend, excellent hotel.  Nice and quiet location and only a 10 minute walk from the city centre. Check in with Andrew was very informative and nothing was too much hassle. The hot breakfast did consist of eggs and bacon only so if you are after a full english this may not be the place for you - however saying that the bacon was lovely and my plate was empty two mornings on the trot.  I would definitely recommend and would stay there again if visiting York.

Excellent location - friendly people

Really enjoyed our stay here. Very clean accomodation and well decorated. Lovely hosts and a good location for train station and centre. Very good bacon at breakfast. Will stay again when back in York.

Lovely BnB

Guest house is very clean and our room was very comfortable and modern . The staff are very polite and friendly. Check in with Andrew was very informative and efficient. Breakfast was very tasty with a good selection of cereals toast and Danish pastries and bacon and eggs.
The city is about a 10 minute walk from the guest house in a nice quiet street. 
I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to people .

Anniversary and birthday getaway

Visited York for a couple of days get away with wife. First time we have used this place but hopefully not the last. Andrew the owner was very accommodating and was always around for any questions or just a chat. Rooms very clean and just the job. Breakfast ample and local eggs and bacon was very very nice. Well done and thanks for making our stay a good one

Very nice B&B

Great B&B. Andrew the owner gave us a really friendly welcome and gave us a comprehensive introduction to his place. It was a great location, just a short walk into York City Centre. The breakfast in the morning was lovely. Will definitely look to stay here again. Thanks for your hospitality
