We have stayed at Dairy Guest House numerous times and once again Mike the proprietor didn’t let us down. Free parking available also just arrange it with Mikes, we stay here for the race’s and it’s about 20 mins walk to the race’s and about 10 mins walk the other way for the city centre. We stayed 2 nights and had room 4 with a large bathroom and walk in shower, tea coffee, water, biscuits ect in the room and a lovely choice at breakfast time, just fill in the card the day before. There are 3 sittings for breakfast between 8.15 and 9.15 so I would definitely recommend the Dairy Guest House for your next stay in York.

Excellent 

We had a fabulous stay at the Dairy Guest House while visiting family in York. Mike was a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome. Our room was in the pretty courtyard at the rear of the property and was very quiet and peaceful – we wouldn't have known there was a road at the front of the house.

The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing few nights. Breakfost was good too. We chose not to have the cooked breakfast, but it was just what we wanted and very fresh and tasty.

Thank you for a perfect stay Mike. We hope to be back before too long!

Just what we wanted

Wonderful home and friendly and helpful host. The room was a very good size with a big bathroom. And huge shower. Nice view looking into the courtyard. Plenty of art work around the walls. Plenty of choices for breakfast. 15 minute walk from Railwsy Station and short walk to City Centre. Plenty of Restaurants around the corner and in the Information Folder is recommendations for different close by Eateries. We have stayed in 22 accommodations this trip and this was one of the nicest.

Great place

Best B&B in York! The unassuming exterior belies the beautiful historic architectural detail inside. Great location, easy walk to the center of town, impeccably clean, marvelous breakfast, and best of all, the fabulous owner and staff. Thank you, Mike, Sharon, and everyone who made our stay so wonderful!

SIMPLY THE BEST!

My friend & I recently stayed in the Dairy Guest House,  just a short walk from the centre of York ( which can be reached by walking a section of the beautiful wall around the city ) makes it an ideal location, our twin room was spotlessly clean, with a lovely en-suite shower,  a kettle & choice of hot drinks were available in the room together with biscuits & water,  the bed was comfortable
The breakfast had plenty of choice & the hot food was cooked beautifully,  The guest house has no on-site parking but you are given a street parking pass to display in your vehicle 
I would gladly return to the Dairy Guest house & would be happy to recommend it to anyone looking to stay in York

LOVELY PLACE

Set within a vibrant area, a short walk from the city centre, Dairy Guest House is an ideal place to stay. It is stylishly decorated, spotlessly clean and surprisingly quiet.
Our twin-bedded room was very comfortable with an excellent, spacious shower. A carafe of water, chocolates and hot-water bottles, as well as teas/coffee and biscuits, were welcoming and much appreciated. An ample breakfast with an impressive range of hot food choices provided a perfect start to the day. Mike and his sfaff were helpful and pleasant. Thank you for a relaxing stay.

Style, convenience and peace

The guesthouse is really conveniently located for both the train station and the centre of York. Its a lovely place to stay- the room we stayed in was bright and had everything in it you need. The breakfast is really good too- I think between me and my partner, we had every possible option and all of them tasted great. The staff are very friendly and you feel very welcome. All in all, I think its a perfect place to stay and I'd recommend it to anyone visiting York.

Absolutely fabulous!!!
What a find! This guest house is so lovely. Reasonable price, spacious and comfortable rooms with a cracking breakfast thrown in too. Parking is all organised by Mike in advance so no stress about that. Would recommend a courtyard room as the outside space is gorgeous.

Absolutely fabulous!!!

We stayed at the Dairy Guest house for 3 nights.
We had the 4 poster room, bed very comfortable, plenty of sockets in the right places, lovely window seat to watch the world go by.
Bathroom small but well functioning, lovely hot water. 
Housekeeping  for the room was perfect, my wife asked for an extra pillow and was duly given it, with no fuss. Tea coffee etc was plentiful. Extra touches like proper glasses, a bottle of water, corkscrew and chocolates just added to our already amazing experience.
Breakfast plentiful, great choice, fruit juice, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt full English, omelette and as much toast, tea and coffee as you wanted, all cooked to order.
Mike was very accommodating, he sorted us out a space to park the car with a parking permit  and was knowledgeable about the area. He made us feel very welcome and we would definitely book the Dairy Guest House again.
15 min walk to the city, lots of things to do within walking distance. 
We visited 2 lovely Restaurants 3 mins walk away, Trinacria this is an Italian, food amazing and large portions, reasonably priced, also an Indian Lal Quila, lovely food great attentive service and if you go between Sun and Thurs 5-7pm you get 15% off the bill.

Amazing Find

A great find this guest house. Well situated, a pleasant 15 minute walk from most attractions. Our host was welcoming and provided a free parking permit for our stay. Our room was warm and comfortable with an excellent shower. Breakfast was varied and delicious. 
Definitely worth a visit.
