Good communication beforehand.
Central location, easy to find using maps on our phone. No lift so not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.
Clean, plenty of space for 3 (we were in Apartment 1).
One thing to note-there was no blinds for the ceiling windows which meant we woke early. Worth packing an eye mask!

A great find!

Booked four night stay in August just to get away after lock down we were moved to room 2 booking was easy and contact with Peter warehouse was straight forward. arrived on the day due to restrictions keys were left in lock box. A little hard to find Peter Lane as it was up a small alley eventually found and everything else went smoothly due to hot weather went for a shower water was cold contacted manager and handyman arrived 10 mins later sorted the water and brought two fans next day as very hot in the room. Nothing was too much trouble and we were central to all shops and restaurants ect. had a great stay well worth the money.

Weekend visit

So, after seeing the pictures and posts on here, I wasn't looking forward to my stay, but on arrival I was pleasantly surprised and it was nowhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be!

Ok, it's no five star hotel, was rather basic and could do with an update - but on the plus side, it was very clean and the location was superb. Probably the best location of any accommodation in York!

If you have booked, go with an open mind: it's comfortable enough for a crash pad. If you're booking somewhere you intend to spend some time in, maybe look at other options, but for a group of friends looking for a central location within walking distance to everything, you can't go wrong for the price.

A central base for the weekend

Great location . The apartment was clean . But there were few broken things in it . Lucky we didn't sit on 1 of the chairs !!!! I reported it and they were very apologetic . The walls were very thin so making it very noisy ! The key was easy to get from a key safe , great instructions . The price was really reasonable for the five of us .

Hen weekend

We booked this last minute, and I'm not gunna lie I was a bit skeptical. When we got there the key was left outside in a lock box, we got in and we were on top floor. The room smelt so clean and fresh, the sky lights really lit up the room and everything was emaculate. We were soooo impressed with it it was perfect. We didn't use any of the cooking equipment as we ate out, but we felt safe and secure. It's slap bang in the middle of everything and the little cafe next to it was perfect. If only we'd realised there were blinds on the sky lights the first night ha. All in all it exceeded what we expected by miles, and I'd recommend it to anyone! We're already looking at our next break!

Girls weekend

We stayed as a group of girl friends in Apartment 4 and it was idea right in the heart of the city. Apartment was clean and had what we needed. It's a little basic in decor and beds were a little soft for my liking. We suspect previous guest may have smoked but sitting area for great for pre night out drinks and snacks. We had a bunch of VERY noisy girls stay next door which was kind of annoying as the walls seem paper thin and you could hear what they were say (shouting) to each other and laughing. Didn't ruin our stay but worth knowing if that sort of thing really matters to you.

What can I say about Peter warehouse.  Well it's central and within all the local shops etc, we stayed 6 nights arrived on a Saturday,  no problem getting the keys and it was well lit at night as it's up an alleyway, cost over 300 not including £200 pre authentication.  Flat itself on on top floor, the stairwell is clean but the carpet outside hall needs replaced. The room itself was underwhelming the carpet needs replaced it's done. The sofa in living area is needing the bin, and you couldn't sit on it. The glass wardrobe in living room was only half cleaned on the outside and fell off the runners when I went to open it. The ceiling was full of cobwebs and I mean full of cobwebs, it was a wooden ceiling. There is a table and chairs which was okay, the bedroom funit ure is cheap and handles fell of, there is no privacy if you open the door to get fresh air as people across in other building look right into the room,  there's only a partition between living room /bedroom. The bathroom was tired looking too. It needs a make over and it wouldn't take much because it could be a lovely wee room. All the fines on the wall for lost keys and noise etc, all I can say is the whole week we stayed I hardly slept, the building shook the first night with music coming from a venue, and shutters getting closed every night at 4 in the morning,  the people next to us banged there room door the whole weekend. Wouldn't stay again.
