Spent a long weekend at Abbot Trailside Lodging in one of their motel rooms. It was perfect for our needs and was nice and clean. Self Check in was easy and Matt was very helpful and responsive with our questions. Right on ITS trail was handy! Thanks for a great place to stay! We will definitely be back!

Awesome stay in Abbot!

My recent stay at Abbot Trailside Lodging was a great experience.  We arrived late, and self-check-in was so easy.  After receiving confirmation of accommodations, instructions were given for access to the unit with a contact name and number should I need anything.  The unit was immaculate, with fresh linens and comfortable memory foam beds.  The sink is located outside the bathroom, which is made for ease when two people are getting ready for bed and early morning departure.   The bathroom amenities are adequate; there are thick towels, and I loved having a pump hand soap dispenser on the sink.  It looked like the bathroom was recently renovated; the shower/tub unit was great, with strong pressure from the showerhead. There was an extra charging station on the bureau under the TV, which was appreciated when charging all devices.  A mini refrigerator with a small freezer, coffee machine, and microwave in the unit with a small table and two chairs.  I made reservations online but called directly with a few questions, and Matt was very nice and great to talk with.         I was delighted with my stay and highly recommend the Abbot Trailside Lodge.

Great stay in Maine

Just the best cabin I have ever stayed in. I’ve been to Maine for many years and never had accommodations like this. The owner just makes sure that everything is perfect for you. I will stay there again next year. I am a hunter that does not kill. My trips are now only to track and photograph.

Fantastic cabin

This is a seriously adorable cabin!  We were delighted with our stay at Abbot Trailside Lodging.  The room had everything you could possibly need - some of the best mattresses we have ever slept on, a fully supplied kitchen area, keyless entry, and very, very clean and well-kept.  We highly recommend this as a great place to stay for folks visiting the Moosehead Lake region!

Adorable Cabin in the woods!

We have stayed at Abbot Trailside lodgeing before and is just keeps on getting better. Safe, clean, handy, great place to stay and the on site host is great also. When  your ever on the Moosehead Trail give them a try. 


Great trip.

Clean rooms, easy check in, easy access and plenty of parking. Stayed in one of the rooms and it was very comfortable and roomy. Fridge, microwave, tv and Wi-Fi were included and even had a coffee maker. Will definitely recommend and use again.

This is an adorable property with cabins that will make you feel like you are "getting away from it all" while still having the comforts of the modern world--the best of both worlds! Our cabin was spotless, all fixtures and furniture were pristine, and the kitchen was fully stocked with all utensils and cookware you could need. We were super comfortable in the air conditioned cabin, and as night fell, you can go outside to a roomy covered porch with chairs to relax on OR you can enjoy a private firepit (each cabin has one...AND the lodging has a well-stocked wood shed you can purchase bundles of wood at for a very small fee).  Its name truly does reflect it's location...if you are in Maine to snowmobile, this is your place, as it literally directly beside the trail network. The owners are extremely invested in customers being happy, and they went out of their way for us. I  would definitely make this an annual tradition.

Beautiful gem near Moosehead; outstanding comfort and quality

The rooms were very clean and so cute. The check in and out process was so easy and great for late arrivals and the price seemed more than fair to me for how nice the rooms were. Definitely recommend!

Adorable place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Abbot Trailside Lodging. We stayed in cabin #6 and it was great. Very clean and comfortable. I thought it might be loud seeing how there are ATV trails on the property but it was quiet.  We came to the area to go on  a moose tour, we didn't see any moose so we will be back next year.
