The staff members were friendly and I felt very welcomed. Greeted by Brandon at check in was easy. I spoke with the manager Sherrie she was knowledgeable and kind, anything my kids or I needed she was on top of it even when she was dealing with other guests. Our housekeeper Tamela was so helpful as well and we got towels and bedding for the pull out couch right away. Everyone I interacted with for our stay were so kind and greeted my family so warmly. Thank you all. Hope you get a raise for being so good to my family and for the hospitality that you showed off the charts.

Staff friendly, traveling can be stressful but this team of wonderful people helped us recharge!! Thank you 

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel for about 4 months. We have had no negligence in paying our hotel bill. The operations manager Lisa had one guest who ran out on their bill without paying. Now she is harassing my husband and I about money and raising our rate on the room without giving a proper notice to prepare for the rate change. She does not interact with the guests when she is working at the Altavista Location. I have tried to speak to her several times when she has been at the desk, and she walks away as if a guest is not there. She does not represent what the staff stand for at this hotel!!!! My husband and I no longer want to do business here!!!! It has nothing to do with the staff because they are still very understanding of the situation at hand. Lisa (Operation Manager) still remains on pressuring us and we have given no reason to be treated this way!!!!! WE ARE HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!!!!

Good morning to all!! My name is Natoya Carr. My husband and I have been guests at this beautiful hotel off and on for about a year and a half. I have to say that Brian, Lisa, Sharon, and all staff are truly a blessing from God. They all go up and beyond for their guest. You rarely find genuine, caring, and compassionate people in this world we living in. God blessed me and my husband to find just that at Quality Suites in Altavista, Virginia. God is not only in the staff also at the hotel. If you need a place to stay that feels like southern home comfort and help beyond the call of duty, please make your stay at Quality Suites. I guarantee you will leave feeling relaxed and well loved!!!! I am proud we got that opportunity and so will you!!!! SATISFACTION GUARANTEED!!!

Fantastic staff in the midst of the Christmas holiday 2022... 4.5 stars for this property... public areas are nicely updated, breakfast was mighty fine... rooms could use a bit of updating. Most important: bed was premium, albeit signs of age are obvious among other finishes. Nothing to cry over... overall, a lovely stay.

Fine Experience at Quality Suites

Brandon!!! You are amazing! Working double shift to let your coworker be home with their family for christmas and still being the friendliest front desk. He went above and beyond to make our stay was comfortable even when other guests were not anywhere near as happy. Management should appraise your eagerness in hospitality, and reward your tentative nature.

They did opt to have hot breakfast available on Christmas morning *thanks again to those workers as well who kept the food coming and hot*

Comfortable room, no drafts! Room was nice and warm even with double digit negative temperature. Soft sheet and thick blanket on the beds. Enough towels, decent water pressure. Microwave in room. Convenient right next to gas station and main rds.

There were some bad patches of ice I wish were taken care of. But going in the main entrance it was salted.

Christmas holiday

This hotel is like a motel. It’s old dated stinky dirty light in bathroom didn’t work tv didn’t work we had to move to a different room. What I can say is the front desk staff was very kind and compassionate because these issues are beyond their control. I blame the owner! The general manager , I can’t recall her name but she was exceptional kind and truly a gem. She understood and tried her best to make it right with in her limits. At the end,  the rooms were a No charge after all the stuff we had gone through. So for that we are grateful.

It’s NOOOO for us

If I could give -5 stars I would. I came into town to visit my parents for the weekend and decided to get a room (203 to be exact) and from the moment I walked into the hotel lobby I regretted my choice. The lobby was absolutely filthy and had trash everywhere and didn’t look like it had been cleaned in months with out dated furniture. The room was so much worse holes in the wall different color paint from patch jobs, mold in the mini fridge, the hairdryer practically electrocuted me, blood on the sheets and lamp shade and no hot water for two days ever after bringing it to the front desks attention after the first morning of not being able to shower ( and might I add the girl at the front desk looked high out of her mind and her I assume boyfriend was behind the counter hat pulled down looking down and looking high also) and they said they would fix it. Returning to the room at 10:30pm that evening the bed had been stripped of all the linens and not remade towels taken but no new towels and still no hot water. The next morning upon checking out and not having showered at the hotel for two days but at my moms house. I went to the desk and requested a refund because I myself work in the industry and would give anyone that experienced this a complete refund, but they said they would only refund one night and not both. Not wanting to argue I said sure and knew I’d be calling corporate. I called corporate and because it’s a privately owned hotel with their name they can’t or won’t do anything I should say and the hotel is refusing to give anything more. I have called the Virginia department of health because this place was disgusting from top to bottom.

Worst hotel ever

Making reservations during peak sold out timeframe, Landry & Brandon went over and above and made it happen with the great kindness! I can’t thank them enough since this was a corporate reservation for 5 people and several rooms! Every other hotel was sold out and did not try to make this happen.

Greatest Customer Service & Southern Charm

17 of our antique MG Club had great rooms and facilities to use for group get togethers. Provided Hot breakfast was good and not scaled back like the other hotels we stayed on the trip. They actually had an on site cook to keep the fresh food  flowing just in time as the offering got low  so always fresh - lots of signs upgrades to property were covertly taken place. Great place to stay in a twenty mile area, next to interstate with lots on Fuel, Grocery stores & Restaurants near by. But the staff (owner was main interface) was the stand out.

At check in told the database said our room was not clean. Given key and told to check room. Beds were made but strong chemical smell. Upon further examination there was a roach on the wall. Went back to front desk and handed a can of roach spray.  Asked for another room. It was now after midnight and was given a room of someone who had not yet checked in. Room had stains on walls and huge cracks in the ceiling. Carpet was stained and worn.
