Knights Inn is part of the Motel 6 chain, and that being said, like some other reviewers, I'd say that this Americus, Georgia motel is in the range of adequate. The queen-size bed has a good mattress and, at least as important to me, maybe more so, the air in the room is breathable; management didn't try to cover up foul smells with perfumed "air freshener". Those so-called "air fresheners" in my opinion do the exact opposite, and I have begun to wonder whether a person could suffer brain damage if subjected too long to these.

Anyway, that's not a problem at the Motel 6/Knights Inn in Americus.

Reading other reviews of other motels, hotels and vacation areas, I've also begun to wonder who spends $1000 per night, that's $2000 for 2 people, and $14,000 for a week. Venture capitalists? Saudi royalty? Would I wearing my LL jeans from last year fit in? Or would I have to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe for the 1 week away? 

My husband doesn't want to think about that.

Anyway, Knights Inn was okay. There's a microwave oven and a refrigerator in the room, but no in-room coffee pot, no electric outlets in the bathroom (which could be due to local building codes). Handicap accessible? Not this room. 

And i sure do wish more motels would follow Knights Inn's example and provide fresh air instead of "air fresheners"!!!! I find it difficult to sleep when I can't breathe.

Why don't motels have air purifing systems instead of air conditioners?

when it's late I hate to spend $100 on a room. So we tried this $65 hotel.  The ice machine was broken. The staff was surely and difficult to  understand (we booked on line) and the rooms were not vacuum.  Breakfast was a sad affair. Only cereal and an apple. We had to ask for towels, and Soap .  Not a place I will head back to soon

Next time I'll stay at the Best Western

I got this motel because we decided to go see Jimmy Carter speak without planning ahead, if you are going to plains; try to stay in plains of at one/any of the other options.
It felt like we were in a bad neighborhood, there were guests that looked like they were making deals under the radar.. Lots of knocking late into night with these folks nearby and than a tv on at 4 am and one would think we could call the front desk which is what we were going to do but of course the phones don't work, nor did the smoke alarm; so if the person next door happened to drop their cigarette and trust me this is just the sort of thing that will happen here. 
They didn't even have amenities like water cups, coffee, or even ice in the room. They didn't have spare anything like toothbrushes etc at front desk. 
The worst part was that management, actually a worker was forced to wake us up by way of knocking on the door ( aka no phone in room) thirty minutes after we were in bed. It had to do with a bookkeeping mistake on their end. 
The light in the bathroom is horrible so I put too much blush on and what a horrific start to an Amazing day.
The owner needs to learn hospitality. It was clear that they don't care at all about this property. The worker had to be rude because of the management, it was obvious. 
Don't stay here or so and wake up to no shower(no shower head), bad make up, horrible food options and that is if the place doesn't burn down. 

Don't book this hotel!! 

The manager was very nice when we checked in.  Our room wasn't ready yet; so, he gave us another key.  That room was ready yet.  He suggested places to eat that proved to be good.  The room was a throw back to the 50's.  Bathroom was tiny.  Breakfast was a simple continental one.  Coffee was good.

Outdated

As of 3 years ago, this motel used to be a Days Inn. This motel complex has been in Americus for a long time (over 20 years). Overall, the room was clean. No real issues. The curtain does need to be replaced because there were small holes in it. Older style tv. Motel complex does need a set of wifi routers. The owners were friendly.
