We booked based on pics on multiple sites. Upon arrival there was a homeless person in the vestibule area and the place was not at all as pictured. The pool was closed, dirty and chained. The desk guy advised where to park so we could be on cameras for extra  security. Wtf? There was a car with two flats parked there permanently it appeared and when when walked into the room we were hit with a smoke stench. The beds were filthy and sheets yellow. Do not go there.

Beware!! Roach motel

Filthy bedding, homeless folks in the parking lot, car with flat tires permanently parked there. This place should be closed down, false advertisement. Smoke filled room, moldy bathroom, no shame in advertising a clean nice place and no refunds when you realize it’s a roach motel. 

Do not stay here

Bed were the WORST!  I travel a lot  never found one worse than there’s. The room were flat dirty years of neglect dirty.  The grout in shower and on the floors were that moldy dirty black.  The carpet I’m guessing was original to the building.   Definitely not worth the price they are asking for these rooms.  We had 3 rooms. All 3 rooms were with different stuff.  Like one had a square mini fridge located in by the toilet(disgusting). One a standard mini and microwave yet the last one had only a mini fridge located under tv.  This hotel has only one thing going for it.  It’s the STAFF SUPER FRIENDLY! Helpful polite just plain nice.  Sorry to say we will never stay there again.

Take a pass on this one.

We were taking the ferry early the next morning. After a nice day in Anacortes we needed a clean place to sleep and then hit the road again. This hotel is older, The parking lot clearly had a car that had been there long enough for weeds to grow under the tires. The stairs up to the second level were not nice. It was hard to walk up and carry luggage. When we got to the room it was not too bad. For the most part it was clean enough. The sheets looked clean and the bathroom was clean but dated. It had a very tiny toilet. However, the couch by the door and near the bed was disgusting. There were layers of stains. For the price of the room I was expecting more. I would not sit on that couch. There was a fireplace in the room and that was cute (we did not use this). From the window there was a view of the water way in the distance. We hadn't planned to use it but the pool wasn't working.

Would not stay again

Oh my goodness.  We stayed here in the past and enjoyed, but no more.  This place has gone south.  Although the sign and website still advertise free breakfast, pool and hot tub, those have all been discontinued due to Covid.  High speed wifi is... not.  The outside is very run down. Our room was up two flights of stairs which were not well maintained and I almost slipped several times.  There was leftover takeout in the fridge, which we finally found - located in the bathroom.  The sheets were either put on sideways or the wrong size, because when I woke up for the seventh  time in an hour I was sleeping on a bare mattress.  Towels were tiny and cheesecloth would have been better.  The shower was nice and hot for two minutes, but when i finally squeezed out the half teaspoon of shampoo in the one packet they gave us, the water suddenly went completely cold.  The curtains were ripped.  The baseboard was pulled away from the bathroom walls.  If you want your one night to feel like a week, this place may be for you.  Otherwise, Run, don’t walk, to another motel.  Any motel.  Or sleep in your car.

Wish I Could Redo This Night

False advertising!! We booked online, based on the website's "Pool, Hottub, Free Complimentary breakfast" - these need to be taken off BOTH the website and street sign in front of the hotel since they're not available! The fat, rude, bald guy who checked us in on Sunday, Nov 15th told us we could "cancel and find somewhere else." Seriously? If it hadn't been late, and a one night stay right before lockdown, we might have done just that. Room was gross, dirty, sticky. A hairy, filthy washcloth hanging from shower. Bedside lamp switch broke off in my hand. Bathroom sink didn't drain. Chipped, peeling paint and holes in the walls and trim. One little Duraflame log in the fireplace, that only lasted an hour. Yeah, we could have PAID for more logs but why bother? Owner: please use lockdown/offseason to update and CLEAN THE ROOMS! And give the front desk staff some customer service training!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE ISLANDS INN!

We checked in for one night because we had an early ferry the next morning. The pool was a swamp (which is understandable because of COVID, but it could have been stated on their website that it was out of order). The rooms were dingy and dirty and we had no toilet paper (seriously!). There was a sign in the room stating that there was a $10 charge for a pet, but I was charged $20. Finally, we tried to bathe our kids and there was absolutely NO HOT WATER!!!! I tried to talk to the front desk attendant and was told there was nothing she could do for me. I called to talk to the manager and received the same rude response from the woman who answered the phone. Ridiculous. If you want fleas, no amenities  and terrible customer service, this is the place for you! We should have saved our $150 and slept in the car.

Worst hotel experience ever!!!!

After checking in with my 2 year old and talking to the front desk receptionist she let me know that the room style I had originally wanted was not available due to mold issues they were having. I was put in another room and immediately upon opening the door I was hit with a mold/mildew smell that was overwhelming. The screen in the room was ripped and shredded and held together by duct tape. The desk in the bedroom was completely rotten and fell apart the second I put my bags on it. It has 4 NAILS sticking out of the bottom and the bed spread has burn marks and stains all over it. I left and am still fighting for a full refund. We did NOT sleep in this disgusting place.

MOLD ISSUES, BROKEN FURNITURE, HORRIBLE SMELLING ROOMS

Have never in 50+ years of travel experienced towels so thin, would have to double them for cheesecloth. Place gets lots of traffic noise commencing at 4:30 am.  Shower and sink fixtures also very poor quality and poorly maintained.
Also found that Expedia doesn't not tell the full story, many places they said were full weren't.  Suggest you call hotel directly !

Cheapo hotel..too expensive for what it is!

Stayed a couple nights. Enjoyed the hot tub one night, and met some people from out of state. The breakfast was very minimal, but we did eat hard boiled egg for some early morning protein. The staff were all very friendly.
