I was one of the last quests in this hotel, as it is closing to become a residential shelter for the homeless. In spite of the closing, the service was good and the room was clean. The staff was friendly and attentive.

The staff was fantastic and friendly. They greeted with a smile and catered to any needs. From the check in to the check out everything was great. Clean spacious hotel rooms. Great price and welcoming faces. 

Family trip

This hotel offers friendly, competent front desk people. To me, that is where a good stay starts. The room, as well as the employees, make this hotel a great bang for the buck. If you work with Carolyn at the desk, you’ll be happy. 

Customer service

I really liked this place and our spacious room.  Management supplied wall units of hand sanitizer all over the hotel.

My only negative comment is there were 3 packs of coffee in the room, 1 regular and 2 decafs.  I went down to the lobby and asked if I could exchange 1 pack of decaf for regular and the clerk said no.  She told me if I wanted another regular coffee I would have to go to the restaurant and buy a cup of coffee. I was shocked to hear her response.  As petty as that may sound, I was scheduled to stay 2 nights but I cancelled the 2nd night based on the principal of her saying that. If that was their service policy then I did not want to give them my money for a 2nd night.

I am hoping a manager reads this and does better customer service training to the front desk clerks.

Though the hallways seemed a bit dark, rooms were roomy. Bathroom door barely had clearance. Biggest negative was that hot water took forever to get to the faucets.
Very clean, everything worked well. Not budget but still affordable.

Good Place To Stay

Not very friendly and really had to question proper cleanliness since we asked them to refill hand sanitizer in hallways and two days later they were still empty. Front desk friendly but did not seem professional, seemed to always be talking to friends etc.

Anchorage stay

Up on arrival, the clerk treated the two guest checking in ahead of me extremely rude, talking down to them in a very condescending way.  When I got my first room, the bed had dirt and hair on top of it, the room smelled dusky and the door would not lock properly.  When I complained about it the same rude clerk told me that it wasn’t his fault the room wasn’t cleaned that his job was not to clean them up but he could give me another room.   The room was cleaner, but the beds only has two small pillows (not like the picture they show). The furniture is old and torn.  I canceled my second night there and even after they said I would it be charged for it, it was.  I. Was charged for an extra night.  It seems that they have the contract with Medicare and most of their guest stay there with vouchers.  Horrible hotel. Stay away.  

Worst Stay Ever 

We were in Anchorage for my husband had surgery. They were very helpful especially with all the Covid-19 stuff going on. Things were a bit limited but they went out of their way to be helpful. My husband couldn't lift more than 2 lbs and one of the young men helped me load my vehicle. We have already booked our reservation for his followup appointment in 2 weeks.

Great hotel for business or family purpose. They let me check in early to complete a business video conference which was a great benefit. Rooms were clean and staff were very friendly. Great central location to get anywhere without traveling to far. Price was very reasonable for what you get. We enjoyed the hotel enough to book an extra room the 2nd night when my boys finished their ball games so we could all go out and enjoy Anchorage together instead of them riding the bus home.

Business/Family stay

The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean. Only stay here if you don’t want a restaurant. The restaurant is in the hotel but not owned by the hotel. The service was absolutely awful - 40 minutes for fries and salad. When I finally got the food which was just sitting in the kitchen in take out containers, they refused to let me eat in the restaurant. Said I had to take it to go because it was late. Per the desk they were to be open another hour. Apparently they decide to close at random times. Then I was insulted by one of the staff, possibly the owner. I was told I was pushy because I tried to ask the waitress for my food and then asked for a fork so I could eat in the restaurant. I booked the hotel because it had a restaurant. Don’t stay here if you want food.  The hotel did not charge for the meal but I would rather pay and be treated with respect.
