If you are a traveler who can forego the Marriott and Hilton hotel chains then this place is for you! Our room was clean and had a box fan, which was extremely helpful since we were visiting during the recent Alaskan heat wave! You receive towels and body wash in your room and can ask for more if needed. The bathrooms are shared and private if that makes sense. So only one person at a time with a locked door. There are kitchens for you to use and nice size refrigerator in the room. You are two miles from downtown and within walking distance to Walmart as well as other stores and restaurants. I recommend the pizza place across the street. 

Great place to stay!

I was really stuck in this love-hate relationship with this hotel. The location is midtown so it's about a 30min walk to downtown. There's a Walmart close by and also some cafes and stuff. The room was clean and I liked it. The Wifi could be faster to be honest. I faced east so that you hear the busy C Street, which for me wasn't a problem but I can see this for others being not the best, same for the early sunset, again not a problem for me. The hotel is always locked and you can only enter with your keycard. There are lots of strange people inside and outside the hotel and the staff is more or less just there, could be friendlier as well. The bathroom is shared. I don't understand why they label one as women, one as men, and one as bathroom when they're all the same. There's nothing in the bathroom where you could put your stuff when you take a shower and you have to clean a shared bathroom 1) more often and 2) actually clean it. Nevertheless, I had a good experience there and would probably come back.

I had a love-hate-relationship

I stayed here on 6/3 and I can't give the hotel a good review. I had a room on the east side, which is right next to C Street. All night long you can hear the cars coming by.  Even with a white noise app on my phone at full volume, you can still hear the traffic all night long. 

Then, when the sun comes up, be prepared to get woken up because the hotel doesn't invest in blackout curtains in a place that experiences Polar Day. 

Otherwise, the hotel isn't actually bad and I think if you were on the west side of the hotel your experience will be different but fact of the matter is you have a 50% chance of getting one of those east facing rooms.

Your Experience Will Depend on Which Side of the Hotel You Are On

It was quite cheap and the people were nice. IN general we knew what we booked and knowing it was not super deluxe we were not disappointed. It is basic and serves the purpose of accommodation.
The shared bathroom was ok - I never had to wait :D

However: Temperature could not be regulated and it was very hot. Opening windows caused a lot of noise from the street.

Serves basic needs and is cheap - don't expect too much

Flight cancelled in June out of Anchorage. No hotels available when I found this one. Ubered over (no shuttle). The rooms are "european" where the bathrooms are shared in the hall (they were spotless) or we got the "suite" which had a private bath and shower, along with a kitchenette. Staff were very friendly and helpful. No air conditioning which is usually not needed in Anchorage but we did get a fan. Safe, clean. GREAT restaurant across the street. They do have laundry facilities.

Bare bones basic but perfect for what we needed.

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the bus line coming from the airport and the affordable price. It was a bit of a long walk to downtown--about a mile--but the walk was not through pleasant neighborhoods. We shared bathrooms that were adequately clean, not sparkling. Found someone's old towels in the closet (eww!). Note: No bar soap, shampoo, or conditioner. Only body wash was provided. The front desk staff were not very helpful with regard to restaurant recommendations, and the desk was often unstaffed. I stayed there with my husband, so I felt OK, but I would not recommend this hotel to a woman traveling alone unless she had a car.

No frills at all.

We made a reservation online and gave our credit card information. When we called to cancel no one answered the phone. When we sent emails to cancel no one responded. In the end, on the night of the booking, they called to ask why we had not checked in. We told them that we had sent emails to cancel. They ignored that, hung up, and charged us for the room anyway.

Traveling through Alaska in Motorbike I’ve been a couples of days in this Hotel. The Room is basic and was clean. No A/C. Shared Bathrooms. In the end of May the heating was still on and you can’t switch off. If you open the windows the noise from the road is high (not comfortable). I don’t recommend this hotel if you want come with your family or if you are looking something better. Cheaper and basic to could sleep.

Basic “Hotel”

The place was clean and relatively new.  No screens or bars or limits on the windows.  One could easily fall out!  No A/C, but none needed if you open the windows.  Street noise on the front of the hotel at the corner meant we couldn't leave the windows open much.

"European Style" means you share a nice clean bathroom down the hall with all the other guests. Also had a shared kitchen on each floor. 

Rooms had a fridge.  One hanger in an armoir.  Satellite TV was okay, although screen was small.  

Booking screwed up, as we reserved (and prepaid) for a room with two beds as we were traveling with our teenage son.  They gave us two rooms instead for the same price.  I thought it strange that they never asked for my credit card.

It's in a not-so-good part of town.  One ride up and down the elevator we shared with an obviously drunk gentleman.  We had no incidents of any sort while we were there.  Not sure I would stay there again.

Not quite what we expected

DON'T STAY!!!
The room was filthy and too old. Seems that nothing has been replaced since it was built.
The bathroom is shared and it was really disgusting (we try to use it early in the morning and it was the same as the last night).
The parking was full of "strangers" making you feel uncomfortable.  We have booked this for 3 nights and we stayed only for one in order to avoid losing money. The next day we told the manager "DAVE" that we want to check out and get a refund, but he told us that we will have a penalty of a day despite the fact that we had already stayed a night. Due to the fact that we wanted it to leave this filthy place immediately I agreed.  Then he told me that I have to call booking in order to call him and he get up of his chair  to make coffee for himself without paying attention to me. Then I went out of this property and I called "Booking", who told me that I will be refunded for the WHOLE amount of money and they are trying to call him but it seemed that no one was there. I told Booking that he is in the front desk and I told them to call him again because I was able to see him from the window. Then I went inside and I told him that he had to answer the call. He said that no one called him and I asked him to check the phone. Then he pressed a button and all out of sudden the phone rung! Thanks God I have used Booking for that reservation, because I wouldn't have been refunded. That man was very rude and he told me that I couldn't find a hotel for Less than $350 per night (that was a big lie).
