This hotel is awful. Before I go farther I’ll say that the employees were helpful and understanding throughout the ordeal. They advertise a bar and restaurant. Not true. Our room had a chair and painting supplies in front of the door when we arrived. Light bulbs out in every fixture except one. That one was a lamp that was unplugged. Upon inspection I found the socket was blackened  and disfigured. Shower barely worked the first night. Knobs were loose. Next morning the knob to go from tub to shower came off in my hand and the pipes were knocking badly. Before we left that morning I dropped the knob and my complaints at the front desk. The young man moved us to another room and took one night off our two night bill. We heard others complaining of rooms not clean, weak water pressure and other things. Worst hotel by far that we have ever stayed in. Avoid this place. Don’t believe the rating on trip advisor. I’d give it one star. Our stay was April 3-4, 2022 for the Masters.

Not what we expected

This motel is unclean and unkept. It honestly reminds me of a scary movie and I can’t even describe the smell. It an overwhelming old smoke smell. The only way to express how dirty is was is by providing pictures. I requested a refund and to check out but they would not accommodate. 😖

No, just keep driving.

I should have known when I pulled into the parking lot and I was the only guest there that something was a miss.  This was once a nice place to stay; however, it's not anymore.  The first room a checked in to just looked bad. The drapes were ripped, rust on the metal bathroom fixtures, no toilet seat and light bulbs not working.  The mirror was missing from the back of the bathroom door. I took a shower and after I finished dressing, the water was still 4" deep in the tub. Mold galore.  Over at the window I peaked out thru the rip and immediately found my feet wet along with a 36" section of carpet. That might account for the smell.  The next room was better. Only small holes in the drapes, carpet that needed cleaning but cleaning would not have repaired the torn spots. Electrical receptacle cover missing. Let me finish this my stating that September 21, 2021 is the last day I will ever stay at the White Columns Dump.

It was once a good place :(

We stayed here based on the price and the reviews weren’t bad. The room had a stained carpet and holes in the carpet. The bed was “okay” but not the best. Shower was clean. We got in late on our trip. The TV did not work and when we called the front desk she advised she didn’t know anything about the tv’s and didn’t offer a different room either. It was an adequate experience to sleep for the night but that’s about it.

Adequate for sleeping

1st night they gave me a room that had not been cleaned. 2nd night we asked for clean sheets and when we were making the bed found not one but two pairs of panties. Gross!!!! We just slept with those!!  And her way of making it up to us was offering us to move all our stuff next door. Hell we already did your cleaning for you, why would I want to do it again.
Either they just made the bed up with the same sheets from the people that stayed last or they are washing their panties with motel laundry. Either way gross!!!

Nasty

Couldn't stay at hotel and lost money.  One room had bed unmade food on table, tv and lights on.  Either housekeeping missed it or someone was staying there still.  Other room had dead wasp. Poop streaks in toilet, smelled like poop and cigarettes. Told the front desk person about it and that we weren't staying.  All they could say was ok

Don't waste your money

Room was clean and relatively comfortable, inexpensive. not enough toiletries for a shower. In the middle of breakfast time, I stopped by and there was only dry cereal and oatmeal packets...no milk, water, fruit, juice, nor other foods. The Concierge hadn't put anything out and only offered fruit when I asked her about it. Patrons were smoking outside every entry hall when I arrived.

OK room, bad customer service

I was scared that this place would be a dump because of the price, but it was GREAT! Very clean and friendly service, conveniently located, and a complimentary breakfast that was decent. Comfortable bed and the room was large too. The facility is dated, but for the rate, who cares!

OMGosh! What a bargain!

The entrance way to this motel was huge. Not like any of the other motels we have stayed in throughout our lives traveling. The receptionist was very attentive. The room was very large and very, very clean. To top that all off, the breakfast was superb. There was even an attendant there for any needs that one may have.

what a pleasant surpise

Low cost, 
Clean, quiet, wonderful breakfast that will save you $15 a plate. A little outdated but that saved us an extra $40 a night!
Very close to gas stations and restaurants.
we just wanted safe place to overnight stay on way home.
