While backpacking I strained a muscle and so didn't make to Superior for my reservation at the Copper Mountain Motel. Despite that, the motel staff were gracious in mailing back to me, without charge, a resupply package I had earlier mailed ahead to the motel. Pretty great service to someone who cancelled their stay-- and no doubt an indicator of how they take care of their customers on site.

Superior Service

The staff is very friendly and helpful.  The hotel is clean and has the amenities that you will need.  Very quite in the evening and peaceful. Easy to find and hiking is close by. Gas Station is close by.Thank you for the hospitality.

Great Stay-good staff

Me and my wife decided to go on a staycation for after christmas present. Only 2 places in superior to stay aka hotel/motel.We chose this cause of price and pull up to your door parking. Location was close to several restaurants, and not a bad walk into the main drag. The owner Sam was very nice and helpful, made us feel very welcome.
We had a nice clean room #14 at the end, which we liked.It was not very busy as far as we saw after christmas. We went out and hiked, explored all over here for our 3 nights and  2 days.. We would stay here again..
FYI. Instant coffee only at front desk, no biggie to us. Bring your own maker if you want.
Parking can be a bit tight especially if you had a big truck and trailer.
Again the room looks upgraded and was nice and cozy, everything worked fine, had a big fridge and freezer. 
Not many toiletries, but we always  bring our own.
Again no frills, but it was clean and cozy for our base to go hiking and exploring.
We would stay again. The new owners are in the process of fixing it up and improving...

A Christmas present trip to explore

Somewhat overpriced  for what you get.
Room was clean but furnishings were old and beat up.
No coffee machine in room. There was a microwave & fridge.
Noisy. Sketchy people that appeared to be living there.
Decent location but topsy-turvy parking lot.
Not many lodging options in Superior. So if this is your only option, bring earplugs.

Truly A Budget Lodging But Not At A Budget Price

We spend three nights without ever seeing anyone.  Bought our own TP.  No clean towels.  But I must say the place was clean.  Would have been better to have a lamp instead of over head lighting. It was very quiet place.

You get what you pay for.

Wasn't real sure when we arrived that I wanted to get out.  The road is a mess, the area seemed a little sketchy, but we are pretty game for most anything if it is clean. This room was spotless but it truly was the 60's, a bedframe with springs, there was a big screen tv and a chair, a separate room for eating with a small table and one chair a microwave and refrigerator.  You must bring your own glassware and water and or drinks of your choice.  It is a very basic style but will admit it was clean and relatively quiet.

Back to the 60's

We had two rooms for one night.  When we checked in at 3:30 the door was locked and blocked with a metal baseball bat.  We rang the bell and our reception was less than warm and friendly. 
My friends stayed in room 6 and the waste basket had not been emptied and the only wash cloth was dirty.  There was no coffee, no cups, no Kleenex , no chair and no other washcloth.   
I stayed in room 10 and it was better.  It had a small room with a desk for computer work.  It was cleaner than my friends, but still not coffee, no cups, no Kleenex, and no washcloth.  I did however have a chair with footstool.  
There is no ice maker on the property and not breakfast offered. 
It is a great location, right on the main road and close to restaurants.  
It seemed that the owners had no interest in maintaining even a minimal standard for the quality of their motel.  Sad.  Our rooms were $61 a night and I thought I could put up with most anything for that price, but not here.

Would not stay here again & would not recommend to friends

Whatever this place may have been in the past, it is no longer worth it. Just go to one of the nicer hotels 15min down the road. 
Pros: Affordable

Cons:
-We booked 4 nights and the toilets backed up etc.... couldn't use the sinks or shower. They said they would call a plumber and  and what that means is they got one of their teenage sons to go dig out the drainage hose out back and drain it out onto the parking lot.....Is that even legal???
-We ended up going to another hotel for the 2nd night and the management decided that it was thus ok to go ahead and book new residents for our new room. Little did they know that we still had our stuff in the rooms that we still legally had right to because we were still paying for them! The management tried telling us to take our stuff out because they had "accidentally" double booked our room. We of course said no because we were planning on staying there the next night anyways once the toilet etc. were supposedly fixed.
-We had an extra cot for our third member of the group and they took it without telling us when we were out hiking for the day and their reasoning was "Someone will end up on the floor if you don't give it to us." Well, that means  we ended up on the floor....obviously they can't do math because by taking a cot from one person and giving it to another doesn't mean suddenly everyone has a bed. You are still short a cot!
-The manager change our toilet paper at 11pm! She walked in and was smoking (not a normal cigarette...definitely something else). We got headaches because the smell wouldn't go away for another day and it was so strong and she woke us up just to change toilet paper when we didn't need a change...
-no real parking and they kept putting stuff on our car like it was a bookshelf. We have a new car so we did not appreciate this. 

In all, if you want to feel like you're in a handmade junk home built by teenagers trying to make an extra buck who actually never installed real sewage then this is the place. One night is ok and the bed wasn't terrible though our sheets had cum on them so we put our own sheets on. However, multiple nights is a no!
