Excellent location, staff was attentive and good problem solvers.    The room was comfortable and the breakfast was good.   The manager demonstrated a true interest in serving her customers.  I would use this facility again.

Great Staff

In the hustle and bustle of departing one morning for an event, I left a couple of things behind. I remembered one item about half way home. I called. I even stopped by one day when in the area again. I finally decided I’d never see that thing again and had quit anticipating a call. Yesterday, in the mailbox was a little box, and inside was the item along with my granddaughter’s little gold sandals. That was a first. In all my travels, I’ve never had anything returned that I called about. I called the manager this morning to thank her. BTW, the staff were all very thoughtful.

Very pleasant stay

Located close to Lyon College, plenty of restaurants of different variety really close. Hotel is very clean, the help is very friendly and the breakfast was good. Definitely will stay here again  when coming to watch some college baseball!!

I like the Comfort Suite's location. It's close to a gas station with decent food. The lobby is accessible from parking lots on both sides. I've found it's better to park on the backside parking lot. The included breakfast is what you'd expect. 

I recommend staying on the 3rd floor and at either end of the hotel if the rooms are available. The rooms tend to be much quieter in those areas, regardless of the day of the week.

Upon arrival, there was a lot of cleaner left in the bowl, so I flushed it. The toilet wouldn't flush. I called the desk. I should have just changed rooms. The front desk got busy so she couldn't make it up with a plunger, so I went down and asked for another room. Believe it or not, I would not have minded to plunge it myself. There are times when there is just one person on duty to keep costs down. 

While I slept well, I would like to mention that there were a couple of surprises with my room. First, there was a pair of brown slippers on the floor, out in the open. There was also a t-shirt in one of the drawers. These things happen. I didn't let it cause my imagination to run wild. It was perplexing, though. The bathroom ceiling bulb near the tub emits a sound exactly like a cricket, too. That one took me a while to figure out. It sounds crazy until you go inside the bathroom, hear the noise, and then turn off the overhead light. 

I brought my own blanket, pillows, and box fan. I also block off the gap under the door to ensure that less sound and light gets to me. 

Comfort Suites is a good place to stay for the value. Whenever you stay anywhere out of town, my best advice is to be honest with the staff and speak up anytime something's not what you paid for. The reaction you get is the best barometer whether it's worth repeat business. 

Comfort Suites is the best choice among all the hotels on this side of Batesville.

The Best Choice On This Side of Batesville

Room, location, and service were all excellent. I had made a reservation at a nearby hotel (a HI location), but that desk clerk was not very helpful at all. When I called the Comfort Suites, the  young lady was professional, courteous and helpful, so I cancelled the other reservation, stayed at the Comfort Suites and was not disappointed.

Very clean as compared to brands that charge more, housekeeping should be recognized for making this property very good, EXCEPT FITNESS CENTER, I’m in hotels 35+ weeks annually and would weigh 300 if didn’t work out. Always walk 2 miles first thing in morning, not here, this fitness center needs attention. Treadmill covered with other guests perspiration very gross. Not totally housekeeping problem lazy guests should clean equipment after using.  Wake up rookie travelers...you mommy or Wife isn’t with you to wipe up your mess! 

Great...except 

We had two rooms for two nights.  Rooms were clean and spacious.  Enjoyed the breakfast.  Staff was nice and helpful.  The negative was that we had planned on entertaining kids with the pool, but it was and has been closed for weeks.  We didn't know that, of course, when we booked months ago.  Not sure what's taking so long to get the pool going; the sign said that they were waiting on the pool chemicals to reach safe levels, but it had to be more than that since they had been closed for weeks.  So, all in all, it was a nice stay, but don't count on the pool or hot tub.

NEVER, EVER STAY HERE!!!!! We brought our daughter to Batesville, AR, where she was born, for a birthday party for her lifelong friends. As we arrived, we got a call that one of them tested positive for COVID-19. My daughter was devastated. As a platinum member of Choice Hotels, I decided to try to salvage the trip with a hotel stay where she could swim. So I booked a room at the Comfort Suites. Two hours after making the reservation, we arrived at the hotel to check in. At that time, I discovered the pool was closed. I also noted that the hotel was dark and uninviting (at 4 in the afternoon!), and the lobby appeared unclean. Kayla, the front desk agent, was very unfriendly. I explained our situation, and she was unwilling to even listen, much less assist. I told her I’d call her manager the next day. So, I called the Holiday Inn Express next door. They were extremely friendly and accommodating. Their service was amazing and their hotel was superior. When in Batesville, NEVER choose Comfort Suites, Holiday Inn Express is SOOOO much better. The next day I spoke with the manager, Debbie. She was extremely hostile on the phone from the moment she answered. She refused to refund my money because policy says she doesn’t have to. The pool closure was notated on an obscure section of the app, and the room rate was non-refundable. However, any decent hotelier would plainly see that I never stepped foot into the room, I was in a bind, and my 2-hours-old canceled reservation cost her absolutely nothing. Any reasonable person would have refunded the money. But Debbie Harrison is completely rude and unreasonable. Of this is how Choice Hotels allows their hotel operators to treat platinum members, my future business will go to Holiday Inn. Choice Hotels has been very slow to respond to my concerns. Comfort Suites in Batesville is a sub-standard hotel with terrible staff. I urge you to look elsewhere for your lodging needs.

Horrible staff and management

No pets policy in fact, but pretty friendly according to tripadvisor. And they proudly announced not to be a tripadvisor's partner. Not surprised at all they were sitting there totally empty, with such a great pricing and policies (not really).

We stayed here on a visit to see family.  To keep a long story short, we needed extra towels at around 9 pm. So we walked to the front desk as we were coming in from a day of activity. The lady at the front desk was very rude (Shelley) and said if we needed more towels we would have to bring the dirty towels down to her and she'd give us new towels. So we had to carry dirty wet towels down from the third floor to the front desk where other people were checking in and wait for her to go get us fresh towels. And then she said she'd be sure and let housekeeping know not to change out our towels the next morning. Which they did anyway. (At least the housekeepers can do their job correctly. Kudos to them!)  From reading other people's poor reviews and the response they get back from the GM, it seems they would rather blame the guest than correct the problem. I'll not stay at the hotel ever again.
