Not a outstanding motel. Perfect motel for our needs- we are there for a minimum amount of time. We just need sleeping accommodations as well as showers. We may consider another hotel next year. So I will give Star Lite a rating of 2 stars.

MACMURRAY Homecoming

After a long day on a motorcycle, I saw the listing for Star Lite, now this was the third of that name I had seen today. I figured it was meant to be. From the outside this looks like an old motel, but inside I was pleased to find a well appointed room. Just a clean room. I paid $46 total with taxes. I would give it 5 stars but I know it really doesn't rate even a four. But for the price it is unbeatable

Pleasantly surprised

I have spent several nights at this motel over the past several decades. Have always found the rooms to be clean and comfortable. It may not be the Hilton, but for the money it has always had everything that I need. Spent a night there last week and will be spending 2 more nights there this week.

Very nice place to stay.

We come here every year for MacMurray College's homecoming. We usually reserve the same room every year. This room we lovingly call the "Presidential Suite". This year, there was a mixup. The suite was booked to someone else. The motel ended up giving us a deal on adjoining double rooms. This worked out even better. Our only complaint was that our room was not straightened up. Otherwise we had no other complaints. 

It wasn't the Presidential Suite, it was better.

Once again we were attending our homecoming at Mac Murray College. We booked our favorite room- three double beds and one sofabed.I may one day open the sofa bed. Excellent location with fine restaurants in walking distance. The bathroom shower was impressive to all this year. The towels were so soft and fluffy, I could barely close my suitcase. The cost of the room was perfect. Another super stay in Jacksonville. 

Presidential Suite II

This should be your last choice for a motel in Jacksonville.  The motel is old and rundown.  Accomodations look like they haven't been replaced since the 60's.  Lighting in the room was very poor.  The only good thing about the motel is you can pull right up to your door.  Luckily I was only staying for 2 days.
