There were dead bed bugs between the mattress and boxsprings. Owner claimed he sprayed every 2 months but they apparently did not replace all bedding. He would not refund our money. I would not recommend this place.

Bedbugs

Very shabby and not all that clean.  Part missing on coffee maker so we could not use it.  Ice machine broken.  So much dust in the corners.  Only two bath towels provided for two people. The one good thing I can say is the pool was clean and open until 10 pm.

Spend a Little More and Stay Elsewhere

Very nicely appointed king room - fridge, microwave & coffee maker - very clean. Didn’t notice when reservation made, but later saw “dogs allowed” so we didn’t have to make other arrangements for our schnauzer-terrier-mix! Saw lots of other people with small dogs but never heard them! Dog approved, too!

Sat nite stay and was charged outrageous $123 for queen room given the room condition. If you like huge carpet stains and dirty areas throughout the room perimeter, out of order phone, poor shower pressure, cheap soap & shampoo, toilet barely flushes and wafer thin toilet paper, broken ironing board and lights with mixture of yellow and white light bulbs then this place is for you. To top it off when stopped by office next morning to check out and rely problems there was a sign on door saying not in and call them.

Overpriced horrible condition room 

Quiet and clean. Not a lot of hotel options in Mountain View but this is the best. Plenty of cabins and homes for rent but this stay did not require such accommodations. There is a swimming pool that we enjoyed, as it was not very busty. Most guests looked to be of the retired age.

Best hotel in Mountain View. Stay here if you are not renting a cabin or house.

This is truly the hotel from hell; be sure to read it all.
I rented a room for six days.  The first room that I was in, 320, had a light out, but it wasn't the bulb, it was the socket.  
This was tolerable, I was not expecting the Taj Mahal for $89.  Then the toilet stopped up, overflowed and ran into the room.  (That is when I tried to call the office and found out the phone did not work) I had been getting ready to get into the shower when this happened and was flushing nothing but urine.  So dressed and went down to the office, but no one was there, (approx 9 AM)  I called the number on the door, and the owner showed up a few minutes later and we went to the room.  A shower was out of the question now.  I started packing up my considerable amount of luggage, thinking I would go to another room, but the owner insisted he could have it all cleaned up by 5PM.  I posited that the carpet would still be wet and would remain so, but he insisted that he could have it dry, so I put all my stuff in my truck and left sans shower or morning constitutional.   I returned about six,  the room looked clean, but as I expected when you stepped on the carpet, it squished up water, so unless I was going to wear shoes the whole night it was untenable.  The owner moved me to room 315; it seemed ok, the lights and phone worked so I took it as an upgrade.  However, the first shower I took showed me that the tub did not drain worth a darn. I had to take a GI shower to allow water to drain out and then turn the shower back on. I only had to do this a few times to get through the shower, so it was tolerable, though very annoying that I had lost the use of the room for day, which I had paid for.  From check in to the end I always dealt with the owner, who seemed like a nice guy, and I had seen him playing outside with his kids so I had a warm feeling for him and had determined that I would not leave a review, since I could not say something nice.  But something happened this afternoon which made me think it my duty to warn others of this place.
 When I first checked in I told the owner that there was no need to service my room, and that if I needed anything, I would come to the office for it.  Consequently when I left the room I left all my stuff out and about.  When I returned he had been in my room and made up my bed and both of my checkbooks were laying on the bed.  Nothing missing, (that I had discovered) but I did not like the idea of him handling my checkbooks.  I went down to the office and told him again, that if I needed anything, I would let him know.  The next time I went out, I placed a do not disturb sign on my door.  However subsequent events showed me that this was of no use, and I have no idea how many times he was in my room.
  This afternoon I stayed in my room, playing video games with my son.  The do not disturb was on the door, when suddenly someone tried to come in but the security lock checked the door and it was closed. I jumped up, and went out in my underwear, to find that it was the owner.  He and his cart had moved to the next door, and when I approached him he said that he was checking to see if I needed anything, never mind that I had twice told him that I would come down to office if I did.  He mumbled "there was no sign" pointing at the door handle and referring to a do not disturb sign.   Clearly   when he recognized that I was there, quick as a flash, as though he had done this many times before, removed the do not disturb sign, so that he could make the claim that there was not one there.  The sign was not on the ground, wasn't in the bushes etc.. clearly he had removed it and put it in his cart.
 I don't know if he is a thief, or just incredibly nosy, and I don't much care which, there is no excuse for this despicable behavior.  However, as far as I can see there is no crime in what he did in this case; what might have been had I not been there, I leave to your conjecture.

Truly the hotel from hell

I had a two night stay beginning November 17, 2020.   Booking and check-in was a breeze.  The front seat staff, who I believe is also the property manager and possibly owner, was very friendly and accommodating.  I had a room with a king.  My room was neat and clean, in particular, the bathroom/tub/toilet was very clean.   There was two small tables in the room and each table had two chairs.   Typical hand/ bath soaps with and shampoo was provided.  The towels and rags were nice, clean and fresh.  Plenty of lights in the room and the a/c-heater worked just fine.  Plenty of hot water, and it heats up fast.  The street out front is busy, so be prepared for traffic noise, but I was so tired, it made no difference to me.  No thumps or noises heard from my neighbors.    I stayed here in November of 2017, and I think the place has had some refreshing since then.  The grounds were neat and clean too.  I didn’t use the wi-fi, but the wi-fi password was provided in the night table drawer.

Great Place to Stay While Visiting Mountain View/Blanchard Springs Arkansas

We couldn’t wait to leave this place. Seriously, don’t stay here. We arrived late at night and tho we had been told on the phone that it wouldn’t be a problem, when we arrived, the office was locked. There was a sign on the door with a number to call for assistance. While they answered the call quickly and told us they’d be “right there” to check us in, we had to wait in the parking lot for 15-20 minutes until someone DROVE UP (we assume from his home) to open the office and check us in. NO employees on the property at night! What?! Then, the room was nasty. Old, not clean, smelled musty. Spider webs hanging from the ceiling in the shower. It was cheap. True. Was it worth even the cheap price we paid? No. Never again.

No, just no. 

We stayed here one night on our way to Branson.  This hotel was very clean and quiet.  Nice pool with picnic tables and a grill close by.  

Our three year old was playing with the door handle from the inside. The guy running it came to the door and knocked to make sure every thing was okay.  Once our card didn’t unlock door and he quickly came to open it with his master card without us even asking him.  He was very attentive to his guest.  He even stood on the outside of fence of pool and chatted with my husband. I have never been to a hotel and had someone so attentive and personable to the guest.  Will stay here again when traveling through. 

Clean hotel and owner or manager, not sure which, was very personable and helpful 

Excellent customer service! The rooms were very clean and well kept. Picnic tables and bbq area near the pool.  Will definitely stay again! Convenient to Blanchard Springs and everything in Mt. View. Highly recommend for a family stay.
