This is a very nice mom and pop budget motel. We got two rooms and they were super clean and in good repair.  It’s a one story building and you park out front. It was a very good value for money. We plan to stay there next time we travel on that route. Very nice people.

Just a one night stop and it was perfect for us

Super clean and well maintained. For the price, it’s a total bargain. We weren’t going to the state park looking for diamonds. Just passing through.   These folks are doing a great job of running this motel. It was absolutely perfect for our two families. Thank you

What a find!

They have a pretty fresh remodel. I expected the beds to be stiff and hard, but they had comfy beds. The rooms include Direct TV, free WiFi, and a coffee maker with a couple cuts worth of coffee. I feel this was a great value. They are a friendly staff. I would recommend you stop here.

The room was ok but walls were super thin and could hear the peoples next door conversation. The room was clean for the most part had to ask for towels and bath mat was soaking wet when we got there. No breakfast. It was cheap and everything else was full it was only for one night so ok.

quick stop but not great

The service was great, check-in was easy. I was second guessing my choice when we pulled up. It looks like a hole in the wall run down motel on the outside. We didn't have many options to change places to stay, so we went in our rooms. The first thing was a weird smell. It wasn't a horrible smell. We left our door open and turned the air on. The odor cleared out quickly. The beds are doubles and very comfortable. All the areas felt and looked clean. My shower could use a new curtain in the tub. It has several dirty spots on it. It is close to everything in the town.  All in all for the price and friendly service we would stay again.

Best choice around

This was one of three hotels offered near Crater of Diamonds park. One was $150 a night, another was $69 but had a low clean rating of only 6. Then there was this hotel. I should’ve known that this place was a bugbag by the price; however it had a clean rating of 8.1, so I chose it. It doesn’t look like the pic. I pulled up, it was dark and creepy and decrepit looking; went inside and it was dark and smelled strong of smoke and chemicals. When I opened the door to the room; I was immediately hit with a smell comparable in strength to an African outhouse; but of a totally different variety. It smelled like someone had smoked all day in our nonsmoking room, and afterward a maid flea or bugbombed (fogged) the room and shut the door. My lungs smoked. The chairs and beds were dirty with dead bugs on the sheets and pillows, the bathroom towels were dingy and shedded fabric hairs all over your hands. Barely any toilet paper left on the roll. I wished I could’ve found something else, but at the late hour and sparsity of hotels in this boonie area I had no other alternative. I seriously considered sleeping in my car instead. But my elderly Mom was with me exhausted. I slept on top of the covers covered in thermal underwear and thick jammies, socks, my winter coat and my own pillow due to the bed being dirty and worried the place could have bedbugs. I couldn’t wait to get out of there first thing in the morning. I wish I could photograph the smell. I noticed very few stayed here; probably bc the smell in their rooms knocked them down too. New rooms my eye. 

Bug and bugbomb motel

Nothing fancy but great price for a night's rest.   Small town with dining down the street.   Friendly staff.  VERY basic muffin and coffee breakfast.   Easy check in and restful night after a busy day outdoors.  

The value was worth it

We stayed here to position ourselves for a visit the following day to Crater of Diamonds State Park, about 17 miles away. It’s an older single-level motel with cinderblock walls, probably built in the 1950s or ‘60’s. It was quiet and fine for a night’s stay and less than $50 for the night. Our room had been updated with lots of power outlets and USB ports, and also had a refrigerator and a microwave. We were under the impression that breakfast was included, but it turned out to be only coffee, and that was only available until a certain time in the morning. Unlike its much more famous namesake, Nashville isn’t much of a town, and they pretty much pull in the sidewalks after 5 p.m. We would stay here again if we needed lodging in this area.
