Very pleased with the staff, and the condition of the campground and facilities will definitely visit this park again. The staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome in the bathrooms and laundry facilities were clean and well-maintained. 

Road trip

Very nice campground with a lovely lakefront area to enjoy a picnic and watch the sunset. We stayed here three nights and found hiking to do in the area at Bankhead National Forest. We stayed in the C section and they had good-sized gravel sites and picnic tables, Highly recommend!

Clean, nice, quiet!

This was our second stay at Hidden Cove. We stayed in the newer section of the park (Section C).  The site was spacious,, level and clean. Hookups were easy to use.  Bathrooms were very well kept and the showers nice to use.  My only complaint is that the laundry room door seemed spung and would not close.  This lead to it swinging in the wind and banging against the frame.  In spite of the door the laundry room was in good shape and clean when things were not blown into the room.  All in all, our stay was wonderful and we fully intend on returning again !  The only reason for the 4 rating on location is that the park is out on a narrow road which Thousand Trails has no control over the roadway.

Hidden Coave - A Hidden Gem

We found this park to be well cared for, beautiful lake access so bring a boat. The activities room has pianos and pool tables, plenty of room for a family gathering or reunion. Pool was not heated and closed for the winter. It’s very quiet in the winter. Lots of walking areas but no trails. Basketball, miniature, golf shared, fire pit, and so much more.

Good experience

Nice TT, good facilities. C Loop is the pace to stay with a larger RV. Very quiet, all other campers were respectable. There is plenty of room in the park. It would be nice if they had a dog park and maybe some lights on the streets at night.

We are new to Thousand Trails parks. We were very excited to get into

To get a site on the water. We were so disappointed that all
Of the lake sites had long term
Trailers in them and most of them
Had no people at them. That was our only complaint and why the park did not receive 5 stars. The sites are level
And very spacious. It is off the beaten path. We traveled at least 30-40 minutes to Jasper or Cullum to eat.

It could have been rated 5 stars from us.

The roomy sites were neat and tidy. Picnic table and fire ring present. Nice and level pull through sites were plenty.  After being set up without a hitch we explored a little and were surprised at just how gorgeous this location is!  The boat ramp area has a waterfall in the woods you discover if walking. The club house views were amazing. The club house was so clean and full of fun! The bathrooms were spotless!  
We stayed in the “newer” section up on the hill where most other campers seemed to be.
A couple minuses were the dryers didn’t really dry. So we hung up damp things over night no biggy. The internet is weak but does exist. It is far out in the country so any major stores are about thirty minutes away. 
However! There is a nice little grocery store about ten minutes down the road. It had everything we needed. Next to that is small diner that had friendly staff and delicious food! We don’t mind being in a small town and enjoying the local small town things. 
Overall I think this place is a hidden gem!

Hidden Gem!

Fun location on the river. Rocky shores so not sandy beaches, but it was January so we didn't want to swim. Large sites so we didn't feel crammed together. Lodge and bathrooms seed to have air conditioner on so it was cold! Heat or even nothing would have been more appropriate options. I heard it is controlled off site.  Other than that, it was great tear. Staff was friendly.

Quiet location in Alabama

Every table game in the rec center had broken and missing pieces. The bathroom ran out of hand soap, but there wasn’t anyone in the front office to tell, even during office hours. The playground has caution tape around it and was missing 2/3 of the equipment. When my kids and I went to take our showers, the hot water ran out in less than 5 minutes. Considering it was at or below freezing both nights we were there, this was painful. Both pianos in the rec center also needed tuning, and one was missing a foot peg. The sites were large and level, plus the boat dock was nice, but those were the only things I could recommend about the campground. 

Wouldn’t pay to stay

Beautiful lake! Sites could have been more level,would love it here in the early summer! No mail delivery! Having no car to pick up the mail was a bummer!! All and all a nice place for a stopover! If it was warmer would have been a great kayaking spot!!
