My wife & I were down from Chicago on an overnight business trip in the Arcola/Arthur area and we were so pleased to find this place. The corporate feel of a national chain would have undermined the charm and warmth we’d experienced all day in the area, so this place was perfect. The check in process was smooth and friendly; it felt like we were visiting someone in their home, actually, and the rooms even had Amish blankets and Amish style furniture! But, even beyond all of this, we knew we chose the right hotel when the next morning we were sipping coffee in bed and could hear the soothing clip-clop of a horse drawn buggy outside our window!

Perfect Stay In Amish Country

In the heart of Amish country. Friendly staff. Clean rooms.close to all Arthur has to offer. We had a great time and traveled all the back roads to see the great Amish farms and met a lot of friendly people.

Clean Friendly Inn

My husband and I have stayed here 3 or 4 different times.  I would recommend it to everyone.  The Amish made furniture and quilts made it so cozy.  It was exceptionally clean, and Karen, the manager was very helpful and friendly.

Traveling through

I travel to Arthur twice a year for business and I always stay at the Inn. Wonderful little place that is very well maintained and exceptionally clean and friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone who has a destination in Arthur. Check for availability because the word is out and they fill up fast 

Little Gem

I've stayed in this motel before and it was great then and it still is. It is very comfy and quiet. I will stay again when in the area, Staff is very friendly and helpful. They have breakfast but I didn't get up in time. I went to Yoder's down the street.

Quilting get-a-way

We were in town for the cheese festival and this motel served our needs well. It is a little pricey for what you get (no pool and very basic breakfast), but it's in a good location if you're needing to stay in Arthur and it's really clean and comfortable. Our room had a microwave and fridge, which we used and a nice walk in shower. I liked the bed spread on the beds because it was a quilt type spread; not so thick and heavy and hot like most motels. An extra pillow and blanket were in the cabinet if needed. My only complaint would be the fact that you can hear every little thump, bump, conversation, etc. of your adjoining neighbors (to the sides and behind you). Be careful what you say and do, because it will be heard. I don't know if insulation could be blown in between the walls to help with this, but it would be nice if there was some way to remedy this issue. It would also be helpful to have a blow dryer in the room.

Nice place to stay

There are not many choices to stay locally. My sisters and I were only staying for 2 nights so we were not picky. We made reservations by phone with the same person who checked us in upon arrival. I believe it was the owner's granddaughter. She did not remember that we were staying two nights and only had us reserved for one. 

The room was a basic, no frills place but it was clean. The connecting door was unlocked and we couldn't get it to lock from our side. We slept with a chair under the knob, old-style security! The next day when we spoke about it at the front desk, we were told that the guy next door wouldn't bother us!

When she came to our room to see if she could get it locked, she allowed her dog to enter our room with her and put her new baby on our bed. It kind of felt like we were in Mayberry. I certainly didn't feel safe with the connecting door not locking and I definitely didn't want a dog in my room. The baby was cute though!

Disappointed

I recently stayed two nights while attending a basketball tournament. I stayed there a couple of years ago for the same tournament and had an unremarkable experience. This time was a little different. When checking in, the woman asked me if I would need coffee in the morning. When I said I did, she audibly sighed. Then she said that she would have to get milk for the morning (for the toast and cold cereal breakfast that they offered). It seemed like a great burden for her. The room itself was fine - clean and in good shape - except for the exceptional soft bed, way too soft. The first morning I went down for breakfast at 7:30. I found a plastic container that said "Bread". I opened it and there was one piece of soggy bread in it. The sign said that the desk would open at 8, so there was no one there to talk to about it. I toasted it anyway, then opened the jelly. Moldy. No one to tell. Second morning - two pieces of bread, non-soggy. However, the same jar of jelly was there. Since it was after 8 I gave it to the front desk. The person took it, said "oh", and didn't offer a replacement. 
I won't be staying there again.
