Bad bad bad no heat broke bed, staff put eight people in one room . And they still wanted to charge after moving me and my family three times. Each room was horrible. Wish I new who to call to shut them 👇🏿, 😭

WARNING 

This place is simply not for regular people. It is populated by hookers and  their clients, drunks, and heroine and crack addicts (a lady was brought away on an ambulance as soon as I arrived). 

What you will find here is bed bugs (see pictures), filthy rooms, very old and smelly furniture, trash spread all around, broken A/C, no towels, people screaming in the middle of the night.

At the reception they were not able to process any reservations, and they rudely had me calling Booking, they wouldn't do it themselves although it was obvious that the problem had to do with the motel system (reservations with Booking, Hotels, Expedia were not working for anyone). Only after hours the problem was fixed.

The people cleaning the rooms and the floors use everywhere an extremely strong anti-bugs products that I wouldn't be surprised if it was extremely toxic for humans.

Don't be fooled by the fact that is 10 minutes walk from downtown: this is a very shady area. It's full of homeless people and drug addicts, and it feels extremely unsafe. It is definitely a "no walk" area.

True, it's not particularly expensive (300$ for 3 nights), but all considered I wouldn't spend one penny to get this treatment. Or at least be well aware of what to expect (check out also Booking.com for very similar experiences).

Filthy room full of cockroaches

1. Someone else's key unlocked my door AND my deadbolt. At 4am, a stumbling drunk man was able to open my door with his room key. I had not chained the door, and he was able to swing it wide open, even though I had locked the deadbolt. In an already unsafe-feeling neighborhood for a single woman, this shook me to the core enough that I checked out and moved to another hotel. Apparently, the people checking me in didn't actually check me in, so the next front desk employee gave my room away to another person. Doesn't explain the dead bolt malfunction, though.
2. I booked a single non-smoking king room. I received a 2-double bed that smelled of second hand smoke.
3. The phone said "Sheraton" on it. The phone didn't dial the front desk when you pushed the button, because it was trying to dial the Sheraton. 
4. When I asked, both of the Uber drivers and both of the Uber passengers in my cars all said that I should not walk alone in this neighborhood at night. It didn't feel safe, and apparently, the locals didn't consider this a safe part of town either. 
5. Bathroom light flickered and never turned on fully.

On the plus side:
1. Room had no bed bugs.
2. TV worked.
3. Phone worked.
4. There was a kitchenette that I didn't test out. No pots, pans, dishes, or utensils. 
5. The room wasn't necessarily clean, but it wasn't filthy either. 

I've stayed in some pretty nasty places. I don't like it, but I suck it up and just use it as a cheap place to stay. Please believe me when I say that you shouldn't stay here. I'm not a prissy business traveler. It's not safe, not clean, and not worth the money.

Price and Privacy were my Priorities I tried both  airbnb and craigslist to find a place to re-establish myself in Atlanta with terrible results. so discovering the Budgeltel on fulton Industrial Blvd was my pot of gold . This hotel is not for those who are into luxury. It is bare bones. I am somewhat OCD and a firm believer in keeping my own space clean and  I was also raised in public housing so I knew how to rid the room of cockroaches. and yes there were many. I also took the time to glue the arms on my broken chairs together and bought some fabric to cover the seats which were disgusting- but it was my plan to be there at least 4-6 months money was tight. I hated the thought of sharing a space ever again especially a bathroom and also not being able to prepare my own healthy meals.  In addition to the private baths The rooms have both full sized refrigerators and 4 burner electric stoves with decent cabinet space for groceries. At 60 days in it  truly felt like home. I felt safe,  It was surprsingly, quiet, I loved the on site laundry and that  I could be on I-20  or I-285 in 3 minutes. Life was good!.  the best part was that the weekly rate was reduced the longer you stayed there was a montly rate even lower.  the cable and wifi were decent depending on where in the building your room was located. I was on the front. .

IF You're On A Mission

didnt see any roaches but they are probably too self respecting to stay here. everything is broken, air conditioning is in the wall type and controls are missing buttons and not working properly.filthy as well. I asked if they had a coffeemaker and was told they did and they do but no coffee.toilet keeps running. no towels and soap is worthless. leaves a nasty film on you and staff is horribly indifferent. better to stay at the ymca
