I love this place because each room has unique interior like not a typical hotel room.  I felt like a visited my aunt's house in Austin., it is cozy. They served me complimentary high-quality coffee and tea and sparkling water in 24 hours.

Loved, loved, LOVED our stay!!! We happened to arrive the night their new downstairs restaurant opened, and absolutely loved our meal. Everyone there was so helpful and pleasant. We will definitely be going back next year!


Absolutely LOVED our stay here!!

What a wonderful little hotel! My wife and I stayed here for two nights while in town for the Sound Unseen Festival. It was the perfect boutique hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. The owner could not have been nicer and more helpful. We loved the sitting area outside the room with coffee and complimentary sparkling waters. The location is great too. It’s a cute little walkable neighborhood and convenient to much of the city. We liked the coffee places on either side of the hotel and Nickel City is such a fun bar. We would definitely return to the Frances next time we are in Austin.

Wonderful boutique hotel!

Gorgeous spaces, comfortable rooms, and a delicious restaurant on the ground floor. 

We stayed here for one night as a staycation and it was exactly what we needed- a beautiful space that felt luxurious and restful. 

Our Medium room offered a king bed, Juliet balcony overlooking 11th, and a roomy modern bathroom. 

We enjoyed the coffee lounge on our floor as well as city views from the rooftop area. 

Don’t miss Poeta, the restaurant downstairs. We had a fantastic dinner there and went back for a delicious brunch the next morning. 

Luxurious boutique hotel

Wow this place is incredible!! Highly recommend to stay whenever you’re in Austin. The room is so comfy, and nice amenities!

My wife and myself will always be booking here in the future for any time we come back to Austin, TX!

Incredible Stay!!

We rented out the entire Cat Noir hotel for our September 2021 wedding, and had our entire wedding party stay there - Shelly and her team did an AMAZING job of making sure that we and our guests were all happy the entire time. The rooms are beautifully designed, the staff is pleasant and helpful, the rooftop has a view of downtown. You also can't beat the location - close to downtown, east 6th, and plenty of great nearby bars and restaurants. Our guests all raved about The Cat Noir! 

Shelly is warm, kind, and always willing to help however she can. She made sure the entire weekend went off without a hitch! We stayed in the apartment (which was incredible) - when we arrived, there was a thoughtful personal note and a welcome gift basket.

Anytime we have friends visiting Austin, we're going to recommend they stay there for sure - Shelly and her team are the BEST!! 5 stars across the board :)

Best Hotel Ever!

We booked a two-night stay because we liked the area.  There is a large chain hotel nearby but we like to support small businesses.  We were in for a wonderful surprise once we checked in.  Shelly is the proprietor and she warmly welcomed us.  We asked to check in one hour early and she accommodated our request cheerfully.  The hotel is 3 floors with a rooftop terrace.  Our room was on the 3rd floor and there is an elevator.  The room was perfect!  Super comfortable bed, fully equipped bathroom with luxury toiletries and fluffy white towels.  We had a soaking tub and a large shower with a rain shower head.  Our room had a small balcony and we were able to listen to live music from the Ol’SoulCreole/Black Artists Matter park across the street.  The restaurant on-site, Uncle Nicky’s serves food and drinks all day.  There are lots of choices for restaurants nearby also.

Pleasure

We stayed at The Cat Noir during the storm in Austin, and although we weren’t expecting to stay here (we lost power in our Airbnb), we are so happy we did! Shelly, the hotel owner, went above and beyond every day. She is truly one-of-a-kind. She was so kind and was always willing to help us out, whether it be offering to prepare food for us when there was a shortage or giving us a ride to our Airbnb to pick up stuff. 

The hotel was excellent—very clean, comfortable, and overall a lovely experience. It’s an awesome location, too. Close to a bunch of restaurants and very walkable. When we are back in Austin we will definitely stay here again.

Best place to stay in Austin

Sometimes the Fates align circumstances... when we arrived in Austin the weather gods aligned for the Storm of the Century to hit, bringing record breaking low temperatures, snow and ice. On the plus side, the benevolent gods aligned for us to be booked at the Cat Noir Hotel, formally known as the Hotel Eleven, who had power throughout our time there.  We were supposed to be there three nights while we visited our son, but the weather forced us to be in Austin for 7 nights. The hotel owner, Shelly, could not have been more gracious... she treated us like family. It is not that she granted every request - she anticipated things we hadn’t thought of and took care of them before we were aware we needed them. We had a lot of issues we were juggling because of our travel delays, but the one thing we never had to worry about was the temporary place of safety we had during an extremely stressful time. I am so grateful to Shelly and the Cat Noir for providing a place of comfort, safety, and friendship at a time we needed it most.
O, yeah  - the bed was super comfortable and the room was amazing. There was a great bar/restaurant downstairs (Uncle Nicky’s) that also stepped in during the emergency to add their support to hotel clients. We were really treated like family and “we were all in this together.”

Hotel Eleven/The Cat Noir Hotel

After searching many places to stay in Austin, I found this listing as the number 1 B & B in Austin.  Read some of the reviews and convinced myself to stay here for three nights.  Small hotel with limited parking in the back and additional street parking around it.  It was neat and clean.  Very helpful and personable staff ready to help.  It is located in East Austin with various eating options within walking distance such as Hillside Farmacy and Paperboy.  There is a food truck park right across the street.  It offers Jamaican, Thai, and Mexican fare among others.  Franklin BBQ is nearby too.  Meanwhile, our room on the 3rd fl, #9, was very comfortable and with a large bathroom.  We liked the balcony in our room and visited the roof top for better views of the neighborhood.  Due to COVID, we were forewarned at the front desk that there wouldn’t be room service.  It was fine with us.  We needed some toiletries and were able to get them from the front desk. Overall, the service was superb+ (the plus is for our silent host Louie the cat).  I do recommend this place and would stay here again.  Thanks.
