Really old and in need of updating. Our room was small and cramped. Furniture looked thrown together from a yard sale. Cleanliness could have been better. For the price ($$$$) not worth it since it feels like a motel. Only good things about the place are the location and the staff was nice.

Very expensive for what you get

1st of all I can't believe these bad reviews... that's ridiculous..we loved this place not only did we find a great deal.. they let us check in early...its right in the middle of town... down the street from the town vons... jack was so nice and great w the recommendations.. will definitely stay again!

So great.. location perfect!

We absolutely had the best time at this hotel.  Denise and Jack were so much fun, and the location is A++++.  Breakfast was perfect for us, ice coffee, bagels, muffins, cereal with fruit and almond milk. We cannot wait to go back, food, shopping, snorkeling all right there in easy walking distance

Phoenix visits Catalina.

This not a five star hotel but the one star ratings are far from accurate. Perhaps their experience was an unfortunate occurrence, or mine was unique but I wouldn’t be deterred by the one star reviews. The room was a good size, our porch was very spacious, the view was pretty good, it is centrally located, the bed was comfortable, and the people were nice. It is an older hotel which comes with a little bit of a musky smell but not so bad that it is offensive. It’s just old. If you are looking for a five star hotel experience this isn’t it but I would absolutely recommend this place to friends and family for the fact that it is quaint, comfortable and a hop skip from the main walkway.

Stay away from this hotel, nothing like the pictures that posted on website. The floor in our room is greasy and sticky when you step on it . All the furniture are old and dusty, the drawers door sound like they will fall off, the toilet bow is all yellow stain. There is a portable AC with a hose attached which go to the window but there are gap so air come in and out, the engineer is the genius !!!!!. there is a hole on the door, they use a metal table like in cheap restaurant. It's cheap hotel with high prices.

Honestly, I wish there was an option to give 0 stars because I would. Never in my life have I given any place one star, but this hotel
deserves it. I took my girlfriend here for
her birthday trip and I regret choosing this hotel.
First off the pictures are deceiving and the hotel is not clean whatsoever. When we checked in it looked like the room had not been cleaned at all only the bed was done. What’s the worst part of this hotel is the staff and customer service. The water in our room would not warm up so I called the front desk. Instead of helping and fixing this issue the front desk worker said no one else had this problem and hung up. I called again after waiting more time for the water to warm up and was answered by the same worker with a nasty attitude. Needless to say this issue was not resolved and no one helped. Then we needed to check out immediately due to a family emergency and the front desk man was no help. I asked for
help and information about the ferry to get back to the mainland but the front desk worker did not want to help. It is not the fact that he did not want to help that made me the most upset but his nasty attitude. Throughout our conversation he was nasty and terrible. He said that he was sorry but none of this was his problem. He kept sighing and speaking to me in a condescending manner. He was not sympathetic at all about the situation and seemed so bothered to just even give me a pamphlet about the ferry. Literally all I wanted was information about getting to the mainland.
Then when I checked out I made sure that there were no outstanding charges. Tell me why a couple days later I get charged $300 for
no reason. I had to call the hotel to let them know and it turned into an argument. They first claimed that there was no charge, but the money had been taken out of my account. Again everyone I talked to had a nasty attitude. Even the manager was terrible and did not want to help me out. I called my bank and finally the hotel refunded me. I had to go through so much to get my money back because of their mistake. It was a horrible experience being here. The staff is horrid! Go anywhere else but here.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!

PLEASE STAY AWAY !!!!! If you are reading this review please listen for your own good. This is by far the worst hotel and the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I am never a person to write a negative review but the way my boyfriend and I were treated at this hotel was beyond HORRIBLE!!! The hotel room was not clean, sheets were dirty, and the pictures were very deceiving. What made it even worse was the bad smell the hotel room had. What made the stay horrible was the customer service. First, was the call to the front desk because the water from the shower was not heating. I waited about 30 minutes and had my boyfriend call the front desk to make them aware of our issue. Instead of the front desk man helping with our problem he said " No one else has called about this problem" and then hung up. The water was not even somewhat warm is was cold. My boyfriend then called again and the front desk man had a nasty horrible attitude about the situation. My boyfriend and I were shocked about this encounter, but unfortunately this was only the first of multiple. Then the next day I had a family member pass away and needed to leave the Island immediately. My boyfriend asked the old man working at the front desk for help and information about getting back to the mainland ASAP. He also asked if there would be the possibility of a refund for the hotel. This is where is started to get ugly. Instead of helping us the old man simply said "
I am sorry about your loss but this is not my problem". He was not sympathetic whatsoever and we could tell he did not to be bothered at all. My boyfriend pleaded with him to help us find the nearest ferry back to the mainland. He kept explaining that this was a family emergency and we really needed the help. The worker did not care and continued with his nasty attitude. After several minutes he just passed a pamphlet and was really no help at all. Then shortly after we checked out and he told us we had no outstanding charges. Well, three days pass by and they charged my boyfriend $300!!!!!!!! My boyfriend was arguing with them that this was an incorrect charge and had to argue with his bank. After several days of arguing and inconvenience the hotel refunded him. Overall, this is the worst experience at a hotel we have ever had. They way we were treated when we had an urgent family emergency is something I'll never forget. I will never understand how a worker could treat us so horribly and why he did. PLEASE TAKE YOUR BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE !!!!!!!!!!!

HORRIBLE, DISGUSTING, & AWFUL!!!!These words describe how my experience was here. The worst place I have ever stayed at.

I wish I gave this hotel more stars, I won’t complain here, just tell you my experience. The check in was quick, we requested a room at the upper floor they had which I was told they were fully booked, we got a room at the 2nd floor. The hotel has 4 floors and no elevator, so be mindful of that. Our room was the basic room, no view or suite. It was decent size, however the bathroom was quite small. The toilet was very close to the bathtub which made it a little uncomfortable to use it. The room was clean, so was the bathroom. You can tell that this hotel had some renovations done, yet, there were some rust stains by the toilet. The room had a refrigerator, microwave and a TV. The AC was connected to the window which left some space so that at night especially you could feel the cold air. I’ll post the pictures below. They also had a portable electric radiator like in Europe, which took quite some  time to warm the room. The bathroom had some toiletries like soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and makeup remover wipes. No one came to clean the room which was not expected, but at least they could have offered clean towels or give you new toiletries while there.
The rooms are pretty noisy, which means you can hear people walk the hallway, talk or taking showers. We even had someone playing and knocking our door … maybe some kids which we did not care but still…some elder people might have. The room was on the side of the building which made you hear all the loud noise from the pizzeria outside … that was not in their control of course …just giving you a head up. And not to forget, the bathroom door was not closing properly and also the room door was a little tricky to open.
Other than that, the hotel is close to everything, to the restaurants and to the grocery shop. They give you a flier as you check in and I saw that they offer complementary breakfast and coffee. It seems like that flier is outdated as they stopped offering that a while ago. So plan your breakfast accordingly as well .

Checked-in with wife for an anniversary retreat. Was greeted by the front desk and promptly given room key. 

Room and bathroom were slightly bigger than we expected (booked a suite). Bathroom was recently redone, the shower was fantastic (good pressure and temperature)! 

Location was fantastic. About 3 doors down from the main drag so everything was a comfortable walk away. 

Staff was exceedingly friendly and supportive. We needed a late check out due to a morning excursion we had scheduled, and received a 3 hour extension no questions asked. 

We were also able to leave our luggage in their bag-check after check-out so we could continue to enjoy the island in impeded while we waited for our ferry. 

Highly recommend!

Fantastic Lodging Experience!

They used my card WITHOUT MY PERMISSION  for a smoking fee! Said they found cigarette butts in all the trash cans! I AM ALLERGIC TO CIGARETTES!!!!! I asked for proof of smoking or “cigarette butts” in the trash cans and they didn't want to show me anything. The owner and the maids are scammers! Disgusting place do not come here.
