Very nice and helpfull staff. Clean and comfortable rooms.  Very reasonable prices. With in walking distance of several restaurants across the street at the truck stop and a subway in the parking lot.

Very nice hotel 

This has to be the BEST place to stay in Avoca, IA.  My husband and I stayed on our way out to the Black Hills and our return home! The gentleman that checked us in was kind, friendly and very professional.

Would stay here again!

Evaluation Motel 6, Avoca, IA

Best Price.  Very clean.  Wood floors.  Microwave upon request.  Coffee aways available (If not they will make it.)  Extremely courteous staff and owner determined to please. Located one minute off of I-80.  Highly recommended.


Best motel in Avoca

 The staff was very accommodating.  The  room and bathroom were very clean.  We appreciated the free coffee and took some 'to go' as we continued on our journey.  We would recommend this hotel to friends and family and will definitely stay here again!

For a great stay.....Motel 6 in Avoca!

The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean.  This Motel 6 takes more pride in its appearance then other Motel 6s I've stayed at.  The bathrooms were spacious, including the bathtub.  There is an attached grill business with this Motel 6. Yut 

Award winning Motel 6

I’m a 53 year old grandma. I was sent from Ottawa, IL to Arvada, Co on an adventure in a 2004 School Bus. So that it could continue to be restored and used as a ‘Restoration Outreach Bus’ to help others in need.
The bus has a few mechanical issues as do I, lol. So as I searched for a reasonably priced lodging area,  I was lead to Motel 6 in Avoca, Iowa. It was meant to be! The staff was beyond courteous and helpful. The location was a perfect halfway point for my trip. And very convenient  for a 37 foot bus. No issues in pulling in or parking. There is the Game Time Restaurant attached. Good pizza! Attentive staff (Thank you Sheila!) and the locals were so kind and friendly. I was exhausted, room rate was very reasonable, accommodations were clean and comfortable. And the water was hot with great pressure! Huge perk! Lol. 
The next morning I realized I left the lights on. Thus=dead battery! Tired traveler syndrome. Ugh. the Hotel owner Keith made a call to local truck repair, Wings to come give the bus a jump. Sean from Wings showed up promptly, worked on firing up the Cold ole diesel for an extended period to no avail. I knew I needed to plug it in and warm the block. He offered to return later and recharge if needed. This kind young man did not accept payment. Told me Merry Christmas! Wow! I then realized the distance from bus to outdoor outlet was quite a distance. I requested use of extension cord and outlet from Keith. Again, with no issue was helped without complaint or extra charge. Then! I needed another extension cord. Keith then took me to local hardware store! Attained. 3 cords later, bus starts!! Weather moves in and day has passed. Stayed another night, bus starts in the morning thank you all their willingness to help! Appreciate you all Motel 6 family! Thank you, Keith, Deb and John! I will be back on my future ‘Restoration Bus travels! Avoca, Iowa is a quiet little town packed with kind, compassionate people! Thank you ALL!

5 Star in my book!

Clean!!  Very clean, nicely appointed rooms.  After a long day of driving was very pleasantly surprised by this place.  Read the reviews but still wondered, but it’s true, friendly staff, clean rooms, restaurant on site with tasty food, I will definitely stop here again when traveling back and forth to Colorado.

Perfect!

Our 1- night stay turned into 4 when our truck wouldn't start after eating at Game Time restaurant! Thank you Lord for blessing us with Motel 6 in Avoca!

**AMAZINGLY CLEAN!! SIMPLE!! AFFORDABLE!! ACCOMODATING!! GREAT PPL!! **

10 hours from home, a dead truck, a camper trailer (without the black tank cuz yup! that broke earlier on our trip!), 2 little kids, living on fume$... we were seriously s.t.u.c.k. What a blessing we had breaking down in the parking lot of Motel 6 in Avoca! We couldn't have planned a better place in 600 miles if we tried! Sandy, Cassandra, Mikey, Keith and his wife took amazing care of us and the place was perfect!!!! It was simple--no fluff, no stupid toiletries, no add-ons. And it was SOOO CLEAN!!! At that point, it was just a bonus it was affordable too! But we really hit the jackpot with the staff (our new BFFs) and their friends around Avoca! Just a quick conversation with Sandy, and in no time we had a couple of selfless men diving under the hood and even driving to the next town to get parts! On a weekend! On a hottttt September day! Most of the day!! Other members of the staff called in favors for us, were always quick to give us encouraging words in the hallways, and were so patient and kind to help make change for my young daughters who's new obsession was the candy bar and pop machine! Our disastrous breakdown led to one of the most enjoyable memories on our adventure, and blessed us with some great new friends! THANK YOU AVOCA MOTEL 6!

This is a 2nd review of this motel 6. This visit was excellent. The public spaces and the room top-level clean. Friendly greeting on arrival and a nice chat with the owner on check-out.  Some additional pluses:  very good bed and pillows; large tub; window opens; very quiet room;  grill & pub in building  A minor negative is that there is no lounge chair.  Definitely the place to stay in Avoca. Excellent price

A+ in Avoca

This was our 3rd time staying at this pet-friendly motel. We always stay at the Motel 6’s during our frequent travels. I have never written a review before, but have to comment on the staff, which has always been above and beyond friendly. Nice accommodation for the price, but it’s the kind people that make a world of difference during a cross country trip. Thank you, Avoca Motel 6!
