To cut the ride off, we slept one night at this BAKERSFIELD MOTEL 6. Quarter with noisy guys, dealers, roaring engines, poor people, couple who seemed to live there, etc. One customer recommended that we empty our car completely. And we locked our bedroom door for the night. We went back around 6am, in the cold, to take the road.

Love the staff...especially the Manager ...I'd recommend it to friends and family...the rooms are okay but the staff is very friendly and helpful...I stay here quite often and it's a great environment

Dear god, if this dump burned to the ground, the world would be a better place. Urine-stained walkways, trash-strewn grounds, dog feces lying around in every patch of grass. Hard beds. Non-functional AC. Junkies, hookers and gang-bangers hanging all over it all night. I paid $85 to stay at this insult to all things decent, which was at least $195 too much. They should pay normal law-abiding people to stay here. Anybody who lasts the night should get a prize. The one good thing is a fairly decent Mexican seafood restaurant next door. Even that place is kind of sketchy, but the food was good. I had two shots of tequila and two beers at 9:00 PM. It's almost 1:00 AM now and I'm just waiting for my BAC to drop enough to drive so I can GTFOH. I'm not even staying the night. I'll sleep on the ground at a highway rest area. It's cleaner and probably safer.

Gives Sh*tholes a Bad Name

Booked a room for Wednesday, March 31st. Terms and conditions as follows. No cancellation after 6 p,m, March 31st or you will be charged one nights room rate. Stated arrive anytime before 11 a.m. checkout time on Thursday, April 1st. Drive down from Sacramento area arrive in Bakersfield after midnight. There is a drive up window. Tell person I am there for my reservation, He says your room was sold you were not here by 8 p.m. I tell him the policy, he says there are no rooms. This policy is known as double dipping. If i don't show they don't have to refund me but if i do show they refund me the lower rate that I booked at and they are still ahead. the process is fradulent and I will be contacting the Kern County district attorney

Fraud at its finest, a criminal enterprise

I got a room here on a trip from Tucson to Sacramento. The place was noisy but I figured it would die down by 10:30 or 11:00 PM. There was a huge amount of noise coming from the room above mine which made sleeping impossible. I finally got up at 2:30 AM and called the front desk. To my surprise, they knew about it and it was them doing some sort of renovation. The noise continued on even after my call so I got dressed and went to the front desk at 3:00am to tell them I was leaving and wanted my money refunded. They refused to refund me so I filed a charge back the next day.

Do yourself a favor, stay somewhere else!

If you're staying in a Motel 6, let's be frank, you're doing it for the price over the quality of the hotel. True? 

The beds were very comfortable and the room was fine for what we required. The air con worked well, keeping the room cool and the tv was a decent size. The bathroom was clean, the toilet was clean and the floor was clean. What more do you need? Apart from maybe a towel that covers your arse lol 

I was disappointed by the fact that the pool was empty. We had plans to have a quick dip before another long day but couldn't. No explanation or apology, it was just closed. 

There is no breakfast here, however, we found a black bear diner which would trump any breakfast anyway. 

If you're hungry it's easier if you have a car and want to find some food in the evening.

It is what it is

We stayed there for just one night during a road trip since nothing else was available in the area. Our non smoking room smelled terribly. Linens seemed clean but room didn't We felt unsafe to stay in the area. Police turned up in the middle of the night (we don't know why). Swimming pool is a disaster. No water in it and looks totally destroyed. We will never ever stay in Motel 6. Only thing that somehow was a plus was very low price.

Avoid this place

You get what you pay for with Motel 6. This had a lovely, friendly, receptionist and the room was clean if very shabby. Walls thin so plenty of noise from next door.
Bath had no working plug and by the time we discovered that it was too late to get it sorted. Bed comfortable.
Spotted two cockroaches in the room, reported it and receptionist said she would call in pest control at once.

The reception was already very strange. The documents had to be pushed inside through a drawer like a bank. We were outside without a roof. The air conditioning system was unusable. We were usually too cold. There were no foilers, not even loans. The beds were clean and large.

Cheap is what you get here. Cons: Room was small, double full beds and one was up against the wall. Thin towels and only one face cloth and one hand towel for two people, seriously?! TV set on a timer so it goes off every hour or so, super annoying. Cheap TV, sound coming from the TV is terrible. Telephone not working, could not make outgoing calls, called front desk and was told something must be wrong with the line. Needed to call a relative in Oregon and was told by Sara that she couldn’t make a long distance call for me, whatever.  Don’t get me started on the filth outside on the walkways and the scary looking people occupying some of the other rooms. Woke up with a killer sinus infection, which I believe was from the terrible air quality in the room. Pros: it was only for one miserable night.
