Worst motel I've even stayed at!! Holes in the carpet and bedding. Wires hanging from the ceiling. Graffiti all on the side of the dresser. No towels provided!! Unsafe area!! At least the front desk lady was pleasant! Close to the freeway.

Horrible place

My wife and I have stayed in a lot of cheap places when all we were  looking for is a place for the night. That was the backdrop for renting two rooms  at the Knights Inn in Bakersfield for a family of four. I was a bit anxious at first reading all the crap reviews, but figuerd that it really couldn't be that bad. It was, and way worse than that... 
As mentioned we rented two rooms, none of which at clean sheets or clean towels, there was a smell in the rooms that at best were strange. Upon complaining about the cleaning of the rooms was way below par we were told to leave, beacuse as the person at the front desk said "What can you expect for that price"
I sincerely hope that the ones reading this review does not think that we had to high expectations - we did and had to drive another half hour to find a motel that actually washed their linens....
STAY AWAY

Never stayed in a worse motel

One of the worst place we have ever stayed in 15 years and twenty some countries. We had to ask to replace the towels after we checked in, because all of them were dirty from previous guests. Big burned hole on the bed sheet, disgusting stains on the mattress and on the sheet, cockroach on the bathroom counter. Big stains on the carpet. Our group stayed in 3 rooms, and they were all the same. When I asked for replacement towels the guy was very unfriendly and almost threw the towels at me. When complained at the reception in the morning, they said, nobody has ever complained. Absolutely horrible place.

One of the worst ever

This was an alright hotel. They charged a good amount. It wasnt that cheap. I had to ask for veterans discount to get the room for $57. Manager is kind and will talk to you about just anything. The rooms not so much. The carpet has been trashed. Flatscreen TV works great. Nice hot shower. Stayed here for 2 nights. Will come back again next year if their prices are the same. 

Reached the final destination

Check in time is 2:00PM. I arrived at 3:20Pm and was told that my room was not cleaned from the previous night and wouldn't be ready until around 5:00 PM.A member of housekeeping was called to the motel (no staff on site) and my room was eventually available at 4:50PM. This being on a day that the motel was completely booked for that evening, one would think that all rooms would be ready at 2:00 PM.

The next morning I hung the placard on the door handle requesting maid service that day. Upon my return at 7:00PM my bed was not made nor were there fresh towels or toiletries. The trash can in the stairwell was always overflowing with trash.

After my second night there the clerk on duty transferred me to another room because the room I was staying in was more expensive and could be sold for a higher price.

This motel must have changed owners or management as I have stayed here in the past with no problems. I have never seen more shady characters staying here.

NEVER AGAIN WILL I STAY HERE!!!!!  You have been warned. There are other places to stay. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Not Worth the Frustration

We booked online for the first night of our trip.  We saw the sign, Park at your own risk but there were security cameras and it didn't look like a bad spot.  The room was fine with amenities. We got up in the am to see our car passenger window busted out and items missing from our car.  Mind you we were parked in front of the office window!  There were obvious gang members standing around and when I went into the office to say I needed to make a police report the manager told me they didn't do that, no help whatsoever.  No sympathy, suggestions, nothing.  They took our snacks and stetson hats, later we realized they got our case with camp cookware, all my shoes and swim suit.  Over 700.00 worth of items gone plus the repair on the window at 245.00.  We are permanently turned off of Bakersfield and this establishment for sure.

Hotel night step for us, ideally located next to a gas station and a big shopping mall to eat.

Road Trip

We stayed one night in this motel. I admit we paid really little for the room, if I don't remember the 20 dollars, but the experience was traumatic! The rooms were pretty nice and the bathroom was clean. The booking included a night out, plus an early breakfast. During the night I didn't wake up except because of the skirmishes and people talking out loud until 3 in the night (thanks even to the walls that aren't very thick!) and even at 5 I was picked up by a person who was pushing hard at my desk.

A nightmare

More comfortable than usual for this channel, although the exterior appearance is not attractive the establishment does not disappoint, the rooms are comfortably furnished with king bed, nothing is missing, flat screen TV, refrigerator, microwave, need for backing, office, lighting, everything is very well arranged, free wifi and breakfast (light) included in the very sweet price of the room.

It's comfortable

Positive: very good welcome, nice and smiling people. Clean rooms, comfortable bedding. MO + refrigerator. Wifi. Free parking in the yard. Negative: no toiletries, no laundry. The hotel building is nestled between two other buildings, which makes the rooms in the rdc and some of the floor have a view of a wall: not very important, if you are only there at night... Breakfast: it would be better not to include it: it is not a good publicity!
