We had driven from Rockport, ME, and just couldn't face the drive back that night.  We were thrilled we were able to find an available room.  The Cromwell Harbor Motel room was spotless.  It was roomy and had all the amenity you could ask for.  The bed was comfortable; the price was very reasonable for a tourist destination city.  I would not hesitate to recommend this establishment.

Nice Motel

We've stayed here many times and can't get over how deep-cleaned it always is, and how quiet.  The rooms aren't fancy modern but they are comfortable.  This time we booked a room with a kitchen.   Joy and her family keep the property up well.  You can walk into town and can also drive to the nearby entrance to the national park.    

Quiet, clean, comfortable

Joy, owner, is very caring. The Cromwell is clean, the rooms are spacious & they have everything you need. Location is perfect for walking the gorgeous Shore Path Trail & walking to downtown for restaurants & shops.

Perfect hotel to explore Acadia & Bar Harbor.

We stayed at the Cromwell Harbor Hotel and were happy with our stay. It was quiet which is always a plus, but within walking distance of restaurants, stores and town. The rooms were pleasant and we enjoyed a good night's sleep. Recommended and would definitely stay again.

Enjoyed our Stay

The Cromwell Harbor Motel was a perfect spot for our 4 night stay in Bar Harbor while touring Acadia National Park.  We chose a large kitchenette second story suite which had 2 balconies.  It was very comfortable with plenty of room.  The bathroom was a bit on the small side but it's an older motel and we didn't mind at all. Free parking was a big plus.  Everyone at the from desk was fabulous - very friendly and helpful as to local restaurants, hiking trails, bus routes, etc.   We hope to return to Acadia and will definitely stay here again.

Perfect motel in Bar Harbor

Needed a last minute room due to rain, planned to camp. Luckily got a room from a cancellation. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable but! we were in the last unit on the front all the way to the left. The stairs going up to the upper units were on the back of our room and you could hear everyone going up and down all evening. Make sure you don't get this room. Otherwise very nice little motel.

Watch out for the room under the stairs!

Loved this Bar Harbor motel! Perfect and quiet location---it's within walking distance of the town stores and restaurants. The rooms are immaculate. The hotel manager, Joy, is friendly, personable, and full of knowledge. She was so helpful with suggestions for sightseeing and places to eat. She knows the town very well. I hope to revisit Bar Harbor someday and will definitely be rebooking a stay at this motel.

Great place to stay!

Loved this place. We never got her name but the woman running the place is the friendliest, most helpful, cool person you’ll ever meet. She runs a great place too. Rooms were perfect for someone like me who spent a lot of time in the national park. Comfy bed, hot shower, and a coffee maker. Speaking of, nearest park entrance was minutes away. The ocean and Jordan Pond are both quick trips. Downtown is really close too. Really glad that this was our home base for Acadia. Definitely returning in the future.

Perfect Acadia Hotel

This is the cleanest hotel/resort I've ever stayed in. You know how places "look" clean upon first impression but then you take a closer look and see scum under the sink rim or dusty baseboards? Not here. The grounds are also spotless. 

Cromwell Harbor Inn is at the east end of Main Street, just a short walk to the downtown Bar Harbor area (shops, restaurants). Conveniently located. Very quiet and relaxing.

Didn't get a chance to try the outdoor pool because I was here in the fall, and it was too cold to swim.

Hands down, a real gem!

I made reservations here because Trip Advisor states it’s 7.8 miles from Schoodic Peninsula. I thought it’d be a quick trip to my 8am workshop at Schoodic Point…but in reality it will be an hour + drive. The hotel is clean and quiet, but at a glance the location pin info is very misleading. I stated in my inquiry I wanted a place close to Schoodic. The reservation staff could have offered an appropriate response with more accurate location information.
