The guy at front desk was really nice and helpful. I checked in for two nights, was asked to pay a 30 dollar deposit, was told if I did not smoke in room would get back, which I still have not gotten back, two weeks later. First room was beyond horrble, smelled of musty smoke, tv was size of laptop screen and did not work at all. Went to front desk, he was nice, changed us rooms. Next room, barely better, but better at least. Tv worked somewhat, cable kept freezing for some reason, so watching tv sucked, says free wifi, but nope, had to go to Denneys at 2 am and use their wifi to send in important papers. Room was nasty, fridge didn't work, 2 microwaves, neither worked, bathroom was not bad, old burn marks all over sink, bed was broken, like it was folded down the middle, carpet was sticky and dirty. I had a two night stay, it was so bad we opted out and went home after first night. The only good thing was the guy at front he was the only reason the got one rating, and i couldn't give a 0.

Horrible hotel, even free would be to much to pay to stay here.

I believe that I’ve just had the worst experience ever in my life checking into a motel. The lady at the front desk was so rude and obnoxious that it made me want to slap her she said that she was the owner and that I didn’t need to be staying there just because I asked if I could if she could give me a call when the room will be ready I think you need to check out this manager and if she is the owner I wouldn’t  want to ever stay there.

Mad as hell

Has bed bugs really bad room.  We got a refund but it doesnt matter when  you need sleep and with bed bugs you cant sleep.  Had holes in the wood.  Had roaches walking on the walls. There was no garbage can.  The tv did not work at all.

Bed bugs

Cock roaches and the filthy carpet smelled like dog urine.  No battery in smoke alarm. Very rude manager and staff. I called the fire Marshall and was told lots of problems here. Local police raid this hotel often for prostitution. Absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

Awful room rude management

I cannot even give this place 1 star. Horrible! DO NOT STAY HERE! Even if you need something cheap, do not do it, not here. Front desk is rude. We reserved a room for 2 adults and 2 children (ages 6&15). We called after making reservation to make sure they would in fact be a room with 2 beds available. We were told most definitely, with 4 people we have to have 2 beds (which we thought is common sense but obviously not). We arrived to hotel, several cars with busted out windows, flat tires, several people sitting in their doorways with doors open (I’m assuming the residents). Pretty much already a red flag. We checked in and walked to our room, opened the door to find 1 bed. We immediately walked back to office and were told they did not have a double room available...which we were told originally the did. The man at the front desk said that we could wait until 4am to talk to the woman we originally spoke to in order to try to get a double room....4am with a 6 year old?! (Again no common sense). When he finally gave us a room with double beds we were unable to get the door open...and then unable to get it to stay shut...literally had to slam it so hard it shook the walls. There was enough of a gap around the door frame to see the shadows of people walking by. The curtains did not cover the windows conpletly, several stains and cigarette holes in bedding, bathroom door hit toilet, molding broke off wall, holes in ceiling, pop bottle cap on floor (so obviously the room was cleaned real well), 1 pillow per bed (mind you 2 people would be sharing each bed...and I guess pillows), and 2 towels. When we asked front desk for 2 more towels and pillows we were told that they did not have any and there would be an up charge if they did. I was going to stay with our 6 year old while my boyfriend and 15 year old went back to his bowling tournament. I refused, there was no way in hell I would stay there alone with a child. Spend the extra $10-$20 and find something better. We definitely learned our lesson and things worked out with the company we booked through who actually ate a lot of the cost to put us in a much better hotel. Save yourself the hassle and when looking for hotels in Battle Creek, just keep scrolling past this one.

Horrible

 This Rodeway Inn is a fairly nice place,  just not so sure of the general area. There seems to be more residents than guests but everybody was pretty nice to us. The rooms are nicely furnished,  mine had a microwave and small fridge. All rooms are non-smoking but it has exterior room entrances. There is a Dennys across the street as well as fast food places and shopping near by.  Overall this was a decent place to stay for the price.

My bathroom was so nasty. I had pubic hairs in my tub. My toilet was not cleaned at all. I had to go to three different rooms to find this one. The microwave was nasty. Had dried on food. Floor had papers and other stuff all over.

The smoke detector was still in a bag hanging from the wall. The floor was sticky couldn't see what it was. The door to the bathroom was falling apart. The woman at check in was rude. The bed appeared clean. T
