They have false advertising,  no refrigerator or laundry.  Not a cozy atmosphere.  Rented for a week and sorry we did.  No refrigerator or microwave,  no trash cans. No maid service to get room cleaned or towels.  If you are looking for an over priced plain room with a tv it has that. Wish we had kept going and not stopped at this horrible place.  Beds uncomfortable and pillows are flat. Don't waste your money or time.

Don't stay here

ROACHES filled the room!  Reported it the next day to the woman at the desk, and she couldn't understand me, or she didn't want to.  Spoke to the owner, or tried to, on Tuesday following our Friday night stay, and he is VERY RUDE and disruptive to a conversation.  His name is Arun.  He hung up on me 3 times!  PLEASE, DO NOT give this place any business!

NOT WORTHY OF A SINGLE STAR

This a basic motel but with microwave and refrig. at no extra cost. Staff very friendly. You call for anything and they are there. Very clean. Air and heat works well. We mainly just slept there and was on the go. It was great to bring left overs to motel and then be able to refrigerate and heat up. Close to Grandbay, Mobile and Dauphin Island. this was our second stay and plan on going back Memorial day and summertime.

NICE ROOMS

This is the closest hotel to Dauphin Island that is not on the island.  This is not a hotel trying to impress you, and it doesn't advertise itself as such.  It is a safe, clean place to stay for the night.  The staff was super nice and very helpful.  The rooms were spacious and clean (there was some staining on the floor, but a stain doesn't mean the room isn't clean).  The room we were in also included a mini-fridge and microwave, great for a traveler on a budget or saving some tasty food from Sidney's next door.  For a place to spend the night we were completely satisfied.

Good Hotel

My husband had to stay here last night and said the linens were DIRTY!  He found all kinds of HAIR in the sheets and the place smelled like cigarettes a dog kennel.  He said NEVER AGAIN!  He said the more unfortunate thing is that there doesn't seem to be any better choices in this particular area. He paid $76 for one night of GROSS! He couldn't wait to check out.

THE WORST PLACE EVER! NASTY!

When we booked in the reception staff couldn't find the booking and didn't know what rate to charge us. The room was OK but in need of some updating. The breakfast consisted of coffee with a couple of pastries, by far the worst breakfast I have had at any hotel. Don't know why they bothered. 
Only good comment about the hotel is that it was close to Dauphin Island where we visited daily.

Budget hotel with non-existent breakfast

This is the worst place we have ever stayed.  We stayed here a few years ago before Hurricane Katrina wiped out the place.  We decided to give it another try thinking maybe they had renovated it.  Oh boy were we wrong.  It was even worse than before.  The mold smell was awful.  The sheets and towels were thin and stained.  The bathtub had been painted and someone left a boot print in it.  When we turned on the faucet the water was brown.  It took 15 minutes of running the shower to get any hot water.     

The front desk employee was very nice and helpful when the door to our room would not close properly.  She immediately moved us to a different room.  

We have to be in BLB several times over the next few months and we will stay in Tillman's Corner and drive the extra hour a day that will require instead of staying at this dump again.
