The room was large, bright and welcoming.  Until, we realized there was only 1 chair for 2 people.  We called tried to call for another (plenty of room for a nice little table and two chairs) = no one answered the phone.  SO, we went down and they said they would "see what they could do".  They brought some kind of a stool, better than using the bed.  Next taking a shower before going to bed - impossible to keep the shower curtain inside the shower because of the force of water from the shower head and it was not adjustable.   Glad there were plenty of towels in the room - so we didn't flood it out.  Now turning down the sheets to discover dried blood spots on the inside of the bedspread - YUCK!  It was to late to do anything but turn it around and put it up on the bottom of the bed.  Sheets looked ok.  Oh my.  Two small packets of coffee for the room pot - and none in the office for  our morning drive  (and not one pleasant word from the staff).  We will NOT be staying here again.  It is to bad, because the bed was comfortable, the shower probably could be fixed and the room was very quiet.  For meals - try the VFW further down on Main St.  They have a kitchen and bar open to the public and pretty decent food.  As long as you don't mind cigarette smoke.  

Huge Disappointment

Beatty, NV is close to Death Valley National Park. The rooms have been updated and are comfortable. Beds are comfy. Updated shower. Modern sink. Modern bright lighting.  Refrigerator. Small wardrobe. However, it's sad that they do not provide hangers for the wardrobe closest because people steal them.  The AC/heating unit is on the bathroom wall, so it was difficult to warm the front of the room. The only place to eat dinner is the BBQ place next door (delicious!)  or Denny's down the street. 

Comfy, Modern Room

This is a really nice medium price hotel hiding behind an uninspiring exterior.  Our room was a clean large sized standard with a very firm and comfortable king bed.  Good pillows, clean sheets and good weight comforter is very welcome after a day of driving.  

The step-in shower was large but had a slippery floor.  (Thanks for the rubber mat).  Water was easy to set to a desired temp and the spray was wide but not out of control.  I liked the provided soap.  

Big bonus was a wifi that actually worked and was faster than in many hotels I've tried.   There were also a few plugs conveniently placed  for recharging electronics.  

The curtains gave good privacy and effectively locked the exterior lights.

Not sure where everyone parks there vehicle.

Would not hesitate to return.

Exterior a little rough but. . . .

The main entrance, anonymous, can easily be missed.
The usual French crowd is getting familiar with this address. It's because it's in a book (no, not Michelin guide).
Take a look, 56 folks populated the French section with their reviews. They even brag about their adventures with Ann, "Beatty" the donkey.
It's a fact: the motel sets a standard for a quiet room, full of lights and clean.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable, price was reasonable. What more could I ask for.  No pool, but if you need a pool, this hotel is owned by a company that owns two other hotels in town and you can use the pool at the other facilities.  Bbq restaurant in front of this hotel is good.  I would definitely stay here agam

Clean and comfortable

Stayed here one night on our way from Las Vegas to Death Valley.  The motel was clean, the room was comfortable and the staff on the front desk where freindly.
There is no pool at the hotel but you do have access to one at one of the sister hotels a short walk away.
Would happily stay here again.

Clean and friendly

Room has been updated and they are clean. Loud music pumping all night from behind the building and starts again at 7;00am. We were told truckers park behind the motel even though they are told not to. Simple solution make sure they don't. Quite a lot of other road noise but that is to be expected with the location. Make sure you try Mel's Diner and Smokin J's

Very Noisy Great Location to Death Valley

For $89 a night that we paid and the distance to Death Valley, the motel is good.

Pro:
- The City of Beatty, NV, is 45 minutes to Death Valley Visitor Center and 35 minutes to Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes (Besides the lodgings inside the national park, this is considered close to the park.)
- Friendly staff
- Comfortable bed
- Large room
- Microwave
- Good Wi-fi
- Shower with good water pressure and hot water came out right away
- Instant hot water from the sink also
- Mini market at the Arco gas station next store is open 24 hours

Con:
- Mini fridge was missing the temperature control knob to turn on the fridge.  Was told motel has only two fridges with knobs still there as people have been stealing them.  So why weren't they replaced?
- The closet rod had no hanger
- Shower curtain smelled like mildew
- Only one trash can in the room, so we put it in the bathroom.
- Heater/A/C was noisy (but tolerable)

Overall, it was a good motel for the price and the distance to the national park.

Good Value

Just okay, but probably better than the other Beatty hotels. They've remodeled the furniture, but mattresses were saggy when we stayed, so it was hard to get a good night's sleep. Their hvac unit doesn't have a thermostat either, which is irritating 

Okay

Going on first impressions I wasn't looking forward to seeing the room. However it was a large clean room. Carpet was clean but didn't look it. I think if they had made more effort with the externals (even christmas decs considering it's December) this place would look so much more welcoming.
