that hotel was no longer open so had to book another last minute more expensive hotel.
it was very disapointing and we ran into 2 other couples who were booked there also and had to find something else

awful

Coming home from Illinois we needed to stop and put our head down for a few hours. Kids took a shower and didn't have anything bad to say about the showers. The beds were fine, and pillows soft. The AC froze us out, but at least it worked! Black out type curtains were awesome. Guy at the front desk seemed a little rude but I think it was mostly just a language barrier, and we were tired from being on the road for 10+ hours. 
And the Bates Motel isn't necessarily an insult, I love Bates Motel :)

Kinda Bates Motelish, but not bad for the price

My family and I stopped here for a few hours, we checked in around 12 in the morning. The front desk guy was very unprofessional and didn't even give us the passcode for wifi. We paid about $57 for a dirty room, and there were people smoking drugs openly around the motel. They were standing around our car, it made us worry quite a bit.  Since we checked in so late, my family asked the guy if we could check out one hour late (at 12 noon instead), the guy was very rude again and said no on the phone.  This is the worst motel in America, please stay away from this place. For that price, you can stay elsewhere.

The worst service and room ever

The owners were very nice to me and fun to talk with.  The owner says he wants to provide an affordable alternative to high priced hotels.  It's plain and simple, the pillows are good, and I actually had a good night's rest.  I was in Beckley conducting research and on a teacher's salary, Budget Inn met my budget.  No frills hotel.  I didn't see sketchy people. Located next to an historical church.  Walking distance to downtown and restaurants.  It ain't the Hilton and I didn't pay "Hilton" prices!  That's okay when one is not wanting to "buy" a hotel, but just spend the night.  It met all of my travel needs. I'd stay there again. My room was clean and neat. I had more money in MY pocket when I checked out of Budget Inn than if I had stayed at higher priced hotels. Ok by me! And...I'm a woman, if that makes any difference.  Oh, and did I tell you the manager was really nice? He was...and a very humble man.

A GREAT deal

I honestly almost have no words for this hotel. It was sketchy and we had men walking outside our room all night. the bathroom was tiny, room smelt awful, tv was like maybe 12 inches, holes in the wall, "queen" bed was MAYBE a full bed, maybe, and the man kept the office locked. It was in a strange part of town and breakfast was a cup of coffee. There was no WiFi, and the room was awful. Worst place I've ever stayed...
