BEWARE BED BUGS!!!!... and no accountiblity...  called and talked to manager but they didn't seem to care  that my elderly mother and I got bitten up. I do not recommend that anyone even consider staying here.

BED BUGS

We were tired after driving from California, and after dinner we just wanted a decent room in which to freshen up and get some sleep.  I have stayed in many Motel 6 over the years, and usually they are no-frills but quite clean.  Their phone reservation system was awkward and difficult, and the clerk said, "We have plenty of rooms, just come in after dinner".  We arrived,  different clerk, checked in fairly quickly and went to our room.  I pulled back my sheets and what did I find?  Hairs.  Lots of them, from all parts of a body.  The sheets and pillowcases were wrinkled in the way that says, "Someone has slept on these already".  I pulled back my friend's sheets and her bed also had various hairs.  Utterly revolting.

I called the desk and the guy said he'd be right there and move us across the hall, "but it was their last room"; what happened to "plenty of rooms"?  That room had clean sheets but dirty pillowcases (and horribly lumpy pillows).  He managed to scare up a couple more pillows that had clean cases.  The drapes in the room had a large burn mark and the bathroom door had what looked like milk and dog hair all over it.  Cleaning is clearly not how the housekeeping staff occupy their time.  There weren't enough towels/washcloths for two people.  We left as soon as we could in the morning and didn't even get into the shower.  When I checked out, I saw that they had knocked off 25% of the bill,  from $120 to $90, which we appreciated.   Still, for what we went through and the obvious lack of care by the housekeeping staff, it didn't seem like enough.

I would avoid this motel completely.

What a Dump!

This hotel is conveniently off of the highway but beware its right behind a huge truck stop.  We got into our room the bed looked like someone was laying on it, the floor hadn been swept or mopped the bathroom was gross.  There was dog hair stuck to my socks I'm allergic to animals we had no wash clothes, the towels we waded up shoved into the cubbies there was no hand soap thankful I carry all that with me.  We will never stay there again

Needs work

The rooms were ok. I think the place could have been kept a lot nicer and the staff needs to work on their attitudes. They just looked unhappy and sat on their phones or talking to each other. They don’t have a cart to help you carry all your stuff in.

If you have to

I've stayed here several times and always had a good stay.  This time was the worst stay I've ever had at a Motel 6. First off the parking was horrible. There was a fifth wheel detached from a truck using up 8 spaces near my room.  i had to park on the opposite side. When I came back there was no place to park at the motel so I had to park at the truck stop. Trailer taking 8 spaces still parked there. Room below had a dog barking for over an hour. And to top it off when I pulled back the bed spread the sheets were dirty and had hair on them and other crap.  Ended up sleeping on top of the covers. When I checked out in the morning I told the manager about these issues and all he could say was, "Sorry." Nothing else. I will never stay at this Motel 6 again. I spent the next night at the Motel 6 in South Tucson and had a great stay. Completely opposite of your Benson location.

Worst Motel 6 I've Ever Stayed At

First of all made reservations over the phone asked for a veteran discount....NO!!! Ok been driving 10 hrs need a room.
Get to location no attendant was available had to wait over 30 Mins to get in the room. 
Called the 1800 # spoke with rep explained the problem he said " you are going to have to stand there and wait as long as it takes to get in your room"!!!.....The room was ok but the part of town its on is SKETCHY!!! And they charged me 126.00!!!??? SMH I could've stayed at a MUCH CLEANER SAFER PLACE. At the end I didn't even rest from all the noise,  fire alarm went off at 2am!!!! Not worth the price!!!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

This is moreso over a review of Motel 6 in general, as theyre all pretty uniform, but also the property.

Have to ask yourself what you value in a hotel. 

Pens & paper? Coffee/Coffee Maker? Shampoo? Conditioner? Lotion? Facial tissues?   Clocks?

Because you'll get none of thos things here. 

You get 4 plastic cups w/ an ice bucket, a cheap phone, two bars of soap & a roll of toilet paper.

The three reedeming factors of the room are the TV's (large with many channels), the big, thick, heavy, dark wood bathroom doors, and what I would call a comfortable bed. But goodluck if you get one with a matress pad here. 

As for the property itself, defn a strong cigarette smell on the second floor. 

The check in area is pretty baron and cold. 

Note here also that, you can hear alot of going ons around in other rooms. You can avoid that with the heater/ac/fan on, but otherwise you can hear things pretty well. Perhaps the hard lamanent floors contribute. I also am not a fan of hard flooring in hotels, and defn value a carpet. 

Certainly not what I would consider family friendly also, in my opinion.

Get what you pay for (very little)

Close to H10 no frills I chose a room with microwave and fridge on a quiet side. The room was clean and the staff very friendly. There are several fast food places within walking distance and Love's have plenty of food and things you may need while travelling. Since I prefer my homebrew coffee or tea, I always bring a Rival hotpot while globetrotting.

One night stay only

After more hours on the road then I care to mention I just needed a bed for the night. The web showed rooms available here and when I pulled off the highway I knew why. Within a stones throw of a truck stop parking lot and I wanted sleep without hearing trucks coming and going all night. I decided the more costly alternatives were worth it so I went somewhere else.

Changed my mind

If you are driving I 10 across Arizona and just need a place to sleep for a night you can’t beat the price...but don’t expect the normal amenities...no breakfast or even a microwave or coffee in the room
