Although the rooms are outdated, it was VERY clean and I loved how heater fan ran constantly-excellent white noise for sleeping. Although the tv needs replaced as audio was hard to hear-the clean linens definitely made up for any complaints. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Clean and quiet

Very friendly, while leaving in the morning I dropped my jacket, we called them when we got down the road and they said they had it .. and they sent it back to my house for it too greet me home. ABOVE AND BEYOND, made for a great start to our trip to Glacier!

We had a confirmed booking at the Super 8 in Big Timber but they gave our room away. Luckily this place had an opening. We were only there for a quick sleep but the beds were very comfy and the shower pressure was great. We also appreciated the breakfast in the morning. 

Decent place to sleep for the night

We were about to give up on finding someplace where the price was ... within reason.  And this place -- it's got all you need and it was best best deal we could find.  

I'm not offering prices because nothing is cheap on a Saturday night in summer in Montana (from what I've heard and from what I'm learning), but we canceled a reservation and chose River Valley Inn based on the price.

The guy who took our reservation was sweet and folksy.  Rooms are comfortable.  There's a continental breakfast but we'll probably drive on to Billings for something more substantial.

Best Saturday night deal for many, many miles

Has interior hallways.  Comfy beds and clean. Instead of making your own waffles, they provided frozen waffles for breakfast, and had to go to the freezer in the back room to get them.  They use a real key, which I prefer.

Decent for one night

This hotel in the small town of Big Timber, MT was a nice place to stay for a couple of nights during the weekend of the rodeo. The staff were pleasant, and my second-floor room was quiet and included a flatscreen TV, microwave, small fridge, a comfortable bed, and a table to set up my laptop - and the wifi is good. It was about a 10-minute walk to downtown, and a gas station/minimart is just across the street. There's coffee and a continental breakfast in the small lobby, but I would head downtown instead (except Sunday, as nothing was open). Overall, this hotel was more than adequate and I would stay here again.

Comfortable and convenient

The Big Timber Inn was clean and comfortable. It was a good place to rest during our travels. While we did not take advantage of the in house breakfast, it was provided. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay again

Big Timber Inn

Overpriced. Paid less at a LaQuinta and Hampton Inn. Very comparable to a Motel 6. It was clean. Noisy, terrible bed, bath so so. Wasn't a good stay for us for the price. Although non-smoking, smoke still around.

Not For The Price

Not a good look.  Place is run down. Needs a makeover.  They have rocks on display behind case there are actually 2 displays of rocks. Rooms did not look nice.  It's in location close to downtown but guessing you can do better.  Hope someone can invest in this.
