One star is too complimentary. Two rooms booked. Went in the rooms and left. Huge fire trap, terrible smells. We asked for a refund on only one of the rooms and the manager refused!  Now I’m going to go on Trip Advisor and Yelp and report same. If you’re going to Bisbee, stay at Copper Queen or Schoolhouse Inn.

Awful…

I would encourage anyone interested in staying at this Inn, to visit the rooms before paying for your stay.  Sadly the extreme weather was a factor in our discomfort.  A space heater was provided and extra blankets but the unheated rooms were difficult.  No cold water in the bathroom sink.  I think the pipes may have frozen.

This was not the hotel for us.  

I know what you're thinking: most modern hotels just don't have enough lace. Tasteful colors are just sooo 2003. 
Well you're in luck! The Inn at Castle Rock has lace to spare! Dusty ruffles top the purple and maroon lace curtains and surround the bed. And the color schemes! Orange, pink and purple all in the same room - a refreshing change from safe-playing chain hotels.
Really, though: apparently the Inn was originally a boarding house. Go into your stay imagining you're a short-term boarder at a creaky old boarding house in the 1970s and you'll do fine. Do not imagine this was ever a grand hotel. There are TV rooms, no TVs in the room. We could hear fellow guests watching and chatting as they walked past our room. 



Boarding house vibes

perfectly comfortable place to sleep. we were in Room 23 the Down Under room. all rooms are decorated to a theme. it is quite unique. a very homely place with lots of little quirky things. they provide an a continental breakfast which you help yourself to it was great. had boiled eggs and bagels and nice coffee.
we loved the character of the place. just what we were looking for. and great for walking around Bisbee. you can park on the street outside hotel ok.

a unique Experience if that's what you want.

We stayed a night here on our way to Tombstone and Tucson. When I walked in to make an enquiry about vacancies I was met with, “Is that an Australian accent that I detect” and I answered back, “Is that a New Zealand accent that asked me “. A really pleasant place to stay, our room was small but we had a ensuite which for us was all that we need. It’s a very old Inn that adds to its charm and the owners and staff are very welcoming. You can use the great room for reading and there’s a little kitchen as well and in the morning they supply a continental breakfast that you help yourself too. Apart from all of that the nightly rate was really good. Bisbee is a cute little town.

Weather did not permit us to complete our reservation over Thanksgiving but we did provide 48 hour cancellation.  3 times we contacted the hotel directly, which we booked through initially, and no one ever returned a call.  When I received my Visa statement there was no credit.  I was told they had closed Nov books and would have to contact their accountant - I guess there isn’t even a laptop available to personnel.  On the third call, personnel finally disconnected me.  We would like to have rebooked with them at a later time but never now.  They don’t do email either.  They are a lodging establishment and I assume should be accustom to cancellations - terrible customer service!

Poor customer service

I know they want to retain the "charm" but really???!!!!  I had bever been to Bisbee before nor had my friends.  I had chosen the hotel & quite frankly I was embarrassed at the choice!  Nothing felt clean!  My friends refused to even take a shower because it was so bad!

NEVER AGAIN!

What a uniquely different and wonderful experience. Such a comfortable hotel to stay in with excellent charm. The owner, Chris, has created an atmosphere in which you feel like you’re at home. This is not so much a fancy hotel, but an extremely comfortable hotel. It has the unique history of this old mining town and a heritage of this 100 year old hotel
As other reviews state, if you’re looking for large screen TV in your room,  a fancy lobby, And a huge happy hour bar… Find a Hilton. But if you want to go back in time… This is the place!

You feel like you are home

The Inn at Castle Rock is a fantastic, quaint little place with tons of character.  Our respective jobs keep us on the road regularly, and this was a great break from the typical boring corporate hotels!  Lest I neglect the location was prime for walking to shopping, food, and bars - we adore this Inn, and will be back again to enjoy its unique ambiance!

Love this Inn!

I loved the central location, so many interesting properties to review if you are able to walk.  Each room is different, filled with charm, all kinds of memorability.  I had the most enjoyable time meeting the other guests in the social areas.  I slept in a room next to the street, didn't hear a thing all night long.  A quiet town.

We will be back. . .
