What a pleasant surprise! Gardens at Mile High Ranch was recommended by Jonquil Motel as they were booked and we’re so happy they did! This treasure is located just outside of Bisbee, but walkable to the town.
We stayed 2 nights in the Lonestar Studio, while our friends stayed in the Big Fortune Studio. Both were very clean and comfortable. We were treated with delicious cookies in our room upon arrival.
The grounds are full of surprises too! It is quiet and peaceful with soft music playing. My husband and I strolled around in the morning with our coffee (keurig in room) discovering an area with outdoor activities such as corn hole, a hammock to relax in or read a book. We went through unique gates to find a pond beside an area to relax and enjoy a glass of wine around fire tables. We spend a couple hours one afternoon enjoying the fire, having a cocktail and snacks.
Continuing our walk, we found the chicken coop where fresh eggs are gathered for breakfast. You need to preorder the day before which we unfortunately did not.
Harry & Rick are awesome hosts, very accommodating and fun to visit with! Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!
If we ever get to Bisbee again, this is where we will be staying!

Relaxing and Serene Getaway

The bed was hard as a rock and the pillows were a match. Good night sleep was hard to get. We found the room it’s smaller than advertised. The room was advertised as a two room suite and was only a small room with a small bath. The price seemed Much too high for the area at this time of year. The best part about this place was the cookies and the friendly service. 

A slight disappointment.

If you like old, charming buildings, you will probably love this place. The owners are very accommodating and couldn’t be nicer. The location is quiet, clean and safe. There are plenty of towels and blankets and the internet works great. However, I did not like the room. The building is genuinely old (not old and refurbished), so it has old building qualities (eg, small drafty rooms, spiders (to their credit, this means they aren’t using pesticides), scuffs here and there, no central heat or ac, etc). All of this is fitting for the locale (as far as I can tell, all of the buildings in Bisbee are genuinely old), so I don’t want to be too negative, but it wasn’t for me.  

Old, but Quiet, Clean & Safe

My wife and my peaceful getaway began with rolling up to this beautiful getaway. As we pulled up, Rick met us with a warm smile and a solid layout of the town. Not too far away from DT Bisbee, quiet and very restful. The suite was great and what we needed to recharge. Thank you Henry and Rick!

A fantastic getaway!

After reviewing downtown options we chose this a different experience.  Our studio is best described as "cozy" with a nice double bed, sofa, table and chairs.  Besides the expected microwave, coffee pot and a refrigerator (with separate freezer) they provide plates and cutlery should you want to prepare food.  The bathroom is compact, but serviceable, the water is quick to heat up and hot.  It suited our needs of a place to spend the night, but I am not sure it would be as good as they propose for long term activities on site.  I would not hesitate to return in the future

Calming Quiet

Lovely place to stay at. The owners are very nice and welcoming and the place was very clean and furnished. We got the suite as that was the one room available by the time we booked and we were pleasantly surprised with what it offered. There was basically a full kitchen set to use if desired, a couch, TV, fridge, etc, in addition to a king-sized comfortable bed and bathroom. Everything was very nice and clean and there were extra blankets in the cupboards if needed. There was a binder with information about the place, info about the city of Bisbee, places to visit, etc. Free cookies came with the stay and, if you desired, fresh hot or cold breakfast that would be delivered to your front door. I can’t review the breakfast as we didn’t take that option but it certainly seems well organized. Check-in is easy - you just call the number which goes directly to the owners and one of them will meet you to give your keys and direct you to the correct lodging. The owners seem to have everything down pat. The area is beautiful and larger than you’d expect. You’ll wake up to gentle music. We only stayed a day but if we had more time would have explored the area longer. There’s several “hidden” seating areas and nooks that are fun to find. Parking is not an issue at all and if you have an electric car there’s actually a charging location for them. Mind the ranch is located at the northern end of Bisbee but wasn’t a problem for us. Definitely will look here first to stay when we plan a return visit to Bisbee.

Wonderful relaxing getaway

Oh my, I know where we're staying next time we're in Bisbee! The Gardens at Mile High Ranch! Soothing music was playing all day long. The grassy area outside of the rooms called to us to spend time in the hammock, on the bench swing, playing corn hole and ring toss, or just relaxing in the chairs. The room was nice with plenty of soft pillows, blankets, and floor fan & heaters. The cookies that they gave us when we arrived were delicious. Make sure to check out the entire property- the fish pond, the gardens, the extra house on the hill, and the hike up the mountain. We highly suggest Mile High Ranch for your next getaway!

peaceful, homey, relaxing

The location is perfect, a very walkable mile to downtown Bisbee. It was a nice quiet place to come home to. The rooms are in old miner's cabin, and ours was in a former tack room. Felt very homey, and the outdoor gardens and seating areas were just wonderful. Coming from summertime Phoenix, it was so nice to be able to sit outside and enjoy a cooler clime, lots of greenery, flowers, and gardens featuring figs and pomegranites. There is a nice fire pit were our hosts, Henry and Rick gathered us for ghost stories. Henry makes the best cookies ever, and the breakfast bowl, fresh cooked and delivered to your door, is a great value and a nice way to start the day! Bisbee is an old mining town with lots of interesting history, nice places to eat, art galleries, and live music in the bars. Has sort of an old Topanga Canyon vibe, very colorful houses. It is worth the walk to town enjoy all the local color. I was completely satisfied with Mile High Ranch, and if ever I return to Bisbee, that's where I'll be staying!

We loved our quick getaway and the amazing hospitality of Henry and Rick. Who would expect an EV charger at a historic mining cabin? The gardens and ambience are so serene. The room itself has absolutely everything you need. A full size fridge and even a tea kettle. The homemade cookies were an extra nice touch. They are pet friendly and the location is just up the road from downtown Bisbee. The breakfast was delivered to our room in a lovely basket and both choices were fantastic. Overall we HIGHLY recommend a stay and plan on returning.

Perfect getaway spot.

The building is what used to be called a tourist court. It is about 90 years old. If you are looking for something on the strip in Vegas, perhaps you should go to Vegas. However, if you seek comfortable tranquility, this is a great place. 
     The fellows owning it have found their place in life. The cabins are old but clean. The grounds are beautiful. It is convenient to downtown Old Bisbee. The owners have delicious homemade cookies waiting in the room. There are televisions which are a bit complex, but most likely, you don’t travel to Bisbee to watch tv, so it’s not a big deal.
     There is a rise behind the motel where the Apache had a healing center. There’s also a small garden and pond. 
    The owners are sources for accurate and useful information.
     I am really glad we stayed here.
