Being native SD we have stayed at many CG in Hills  We have stayed at Rush No More twice and plan on going again!
   Live music on Wednesdays and Sundays.   Music Jams all are welcome listen or play.  And they usually get the regulars who are very good
   All different size cabins and a couple options for family reunions which our family did there some years ago 
   Very nice hang out patio bar area and they fry up burgers on certain times.  
   We always try and book a spot up close to patio bar area and just throughly enjoy our times and hospitality there

Fantastic Place!!

Had a really nice stay at the end of June. Beautiful, comfortable, clean and quiet. Excellent accommodations and amenities. Kind and friendly staff. Close to Deadwood. Would absolutely recommend and stay here again.

Excellent stay

Stayed here June 2022 while on a motorcycle trip.  Rented a small cabin for two nights. The accommodations were very basic but a good alternative to camping. Be sure to pay a little extra for linens. It is well worth it. The owner as well as the help were friendly and helpful. Thank you for a great stay. I'll be be back.

Great!

Great campgrounds!  We've been @ Rush-No-More three time now in Sept 2019, 20, and now in 22.  Very well kept, even after hosting a large antique car show.  Staff is fantastic to boot!  Can't say enough good things!  
Facilities are all in good condition.  One located by the office and pool area and another smaller one in the back area which is where we have stayed.  Laundries @ both.  We will be back of not next year the following!  See deer all the time...

Fantastic campground

I have nothing good to say about this campground. 

From the first time we stopped to check in, my husband had a very bad experience with the customer service. Reserving the RV site was a huge hassle for my husband because of miscommunication that had occurred in their end. We were told we could cut of $20 since it was such a hassle for him. When he arrived to check in and pay the bill, the owner flat out embarrassed him, refused to give him the discount he was promised (he even has an email confirming the cost). He was SO SO rude and everyone who witnessed the encounter was appalled. 

We made a trip out using our RV while my other extended family stayed in cabins. Together, we had lots of kids ranging from 2months old to 13yo. This place was NOT kid friendly at all. They were constantly yelling at our kids telling them not to do this or that. They would drive around in their golf carts and watch you and your kids to make sure everyone was following the rules or not doing something they didn’t like. The pool was ice cold so the kids couldn’t stay in there longer than 15mins. If the kids put their feet in the hot tub, they’d be yelled at. Definitely do not recommend this place for families. 

While there too, we experienced a tornado watch and the sirens were going off. When asking where there shelter is, they straight up said “we don’t have one. The safest place for you is in your cabin.” How can they not have a tornado shelter?!? Isn’t that required??? 

Overall, save your money and go somewhere else. This site doesn’t deserve business if they can’t improve at their customer service and safety.

Camping with RV and Cabins

We had such a nice visit here. Close to Sturgis, just 5 minutes away, close to Rapid (20 minutes away by interstate) very reasonably priced and the cabin was just perfect for two!! Highly recommend and we will be back next year!!

Beautiful and quiet

My Husband and I worked at Rush No More June through the end of September 2021. 
  We ended up cleaning the bathrooms, which wasn’t what we came for but ended up doing this. 
  I have read reviews of this campground and others, this place is privately owned, the Owner has rules. A lot (not all families) let their kids roam unattended. We had several kids in our yard in the workers area but We we’re ok with that. The issue is the pool and hot tub. Some that were way to young were swimming without an adult as well as the hot tub. There was an age limit for this area but the rules were broken several times 
  The Owner Ed, would get frustrated, because one accident He could lose everything. Not to mention a child being injured. Parents would be at the bar and let their children climb on top of the playground house which was very high and Ed would tell them to get down. 
  He wasn’t being mean, he was worried about their safety.  
  I have never in my life cleaned up after people in bathrooms, but it wasn’t beneath me. Most people were nice. I had a few snobbish people and a few using a few words I’m prefer not to be used in front of me. But, it wasn’t bad. Actually during Sturgis were the best group of people we were around. 
  So before you give a review, especially when mad. People see right through this!! This was a wonderful campground and Ed was a very good Boss to my husband and Me. He treated us with respect and we couldn’t be happier. 
  We worked hard in the bathrooms, they were old but clean. So remember, this is a campground, not the Hilton!! It’s not going to be perfect. If you abide Rush No More’s rules, The Owner and Employees will respect You and your family.

Workampers at Rush No More June -October 1st 2021

We stayed for 5 nights. On the 3rd night a rainstorm came through and our SurgeGuard surge protector detected an issue and interrupted power flow to our RV. We had to plug directly into the shoreline at the park. The next day we plugged our surge protector back in, and again, the power to our rig was interrupted. We plugged in directly to shoreline again. Which meant we were taking a huge risk of frying our electrical system in our rig. That next night we returned to our rig after being gone all day, and saw that we had new neighbors. The following morning we discovered it was another guest from across the row, who the park managers moved because their surge protector was doing the same thing as ours. That guest explained that they had complained to the park managers, and the park said it was their faulty equipment. So we figured it might be that our surge protector was bad as well??? Since leaving Rush No More, we've used it elsewhere and it works just fine. There is not a problem with our surge protector. The park evidentially has issues with the power at at least one section of their electric supply. Also, the space we were assigned was extremely unlevel. Many of the sites are unlevel. About half a dozen or more rigs had block after block under them in an attempt to level their rigs. If this is the only park available, I can see staying here, but I don't recommend using their power at the northwest end of the park (we were in 3A).

This campground is a joke! First off, they are not kid friendly at all so if you are looking for a fun place for your kids to roam and play then this isn’t the place. The staff is constantly riding around yelling don’t do this, don’t do that! It was ridiculous and their rules are laughable! The temperature of their pool is so cold it’s not worth even swimming in, that is if it’s even open. My family and I tried to swim on several occasions and there was always some excuse as to why we could not swim. Perhaps this was their intention all along? The sign says 9 to 9. This is inaccurate. There is no privacy, you will constantly be watched and judged. My wife and I found this place to be very dirty and uncomfortable as well. We did not feel welcome from day 1. Maybe consider making your crappy campground NON kid friendly. Bunch of bullies. Don’t waste your money or your time here folks!

Do NOT waste your money!

Rush No More was a nice campground in a beautiful setting.  My family had a great time. My only complaint was they more then doubled their fees because we arrived a week before the Sturgis motorcycle rally.  I feel this was just being greedy.  They probably  would have done better keeping their rates low as evidenced by the near empty campground.  I probably will not camp there again because of this rate hike and price gouging. Also they had too many rules.
