The Beach House hosted a large group of family and friends visiting Michigan. We stayed in cabins at the Beach House and had a great time. Special shout out to Martin as he helped us navigate the area - info on tours, shuttles, how to transport a bike :-) , etc. Martin has done some great work with the facilities - everything was excellent. Martin's flower beds are amazing, they are beautiful and well cared for. We would stay at the Beach House again. Thank you!

Beautiful Flowers, Great Place.

Great location and easy to get around.  5 minute walk to the ferry and 10 minute walk to all the restaurants and shops in the area.  The hotel was clean and the staff was great.  Martin took care of us and anything we needed he made it happen.  This was the first time we've stayed at this location and I was impressed.  I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family.  Peak season was a little pricey but it's worth every penny.

Weekend Getaway 2023

When you stay at the Beach House Cottages, you feel like you go back in time. The cabins are nostalgic and make you feel like you were transported back to the 1940s. It's a true Mackinac time capsule that has been untouched by "progress" and "modernization." 
You will get an actual key on a key chain to unlock your cabin door and you won't find a room phone. Just like it used to be.
As you sit on the sandy beach, you just stare off into the distance to Mackinac Island and watch the boats come in and out. There are fire pit rings, chairs and a few wood swings. 
If you're looking for a genuine up North experience and a place to make memories, this is the place for you. 
One of the best features of this place is the host. He is very friendly, accommodating and always there is an issue happens to arise. 

A Postcard Worthy Untouched Time Capsule 

I thought the manager was a little odd i got a weird feeling about him..I had a bad night sleep could not sleep..I think he has keys to every cottage..just a weird uncomfortable feeling about him. The cabin was nice and clean I made sure the windows were locked. Could not shake off the bad feeling I got that night .

We luckily stumbled across The Beach House while searching the web for lodging. After spending a week in the U.P. celebrating our 46th wedding Anniversary, we were tired. The Beach House was a perfect respite. The cottage was clean, comfy & cozy. The sunrise was spectacular & the view of the Mackinac Bridge lit up the night sky beautifully. We only planned on spending the night, ended up spending two. Martin the hotel manager was so kind, hospitable, knowledgeable & personable. He loaned us a blow dryer and barbecue grill. The swimming pool looked so inviting. Unfortunately we were too exhausted to enjoy it. Hopefully on our next trip we will.  If you're packing your bags for Mackinac City, do yourself a favor and pack your meals as well. Enjoy a quiet getaway on the beach.

Beach House Mackinac City

Upon arrival we were given the chance to upgrade without any pressure. All of the cabins and the grounds were in good condition. The staff was friendly, and supportive. The location is awesome, readily accessible and close to many of the attractions of Mackinaw. We will return in the future.

The Beach House Cabins of Mackinaw

Stayed a couple nights at The Beach House and loved every minute! If you’re looking for a cozy spot with a vintage vibe close to the lake, this is the place! The office manager, Martin, is very friendly and hospitable. I will definitely be going back!

I highly recommend this spot in Mackinaw City. The cottages are cute, comfortable, clean and cozy. Just a few hundred yards from a private beach, these cottages offer the best in terms of privacy, relaxation and comfort. Martin the hotel manager was wonderful, helpful and friendly. He knows the area well and will go out of his way to make sure you have what you need. The beach has fire pits and on a clear night you can see the stars. Free shuttles will take you to either of the ferries. The jacuzzi was out of order when we came but Martin gave us vouchers to visit the jacuzzi next door at the water park.

Just a note for newcomers, the kitchenette only has a mini frig and microwave and a normal bathroom-like sink. There's no range or disposal. 

I really hope to come here again and wouldn't think twice in choosing it over all the other hotels down the road. It's character and charm was just what we needed for a relaxing, carefree vacation. Thank you Martin for everything!

Best Vacation Stay in Mackinaw City

Went for a one night romantic get away with my boyfriend.  The front desk staff was very friendly.  We loved our little cottage on the beach!  It was so peaceful and relaxing.  The cottage was clean and very cozy.  We had a great view of the fireworks show from our front porch.  I wish we would have stayed more than one night.  I can't wait to go back!

Loved our stay!

We had 8 adults, 7 kids, and 2 dogs in 4 different cabins - Martin ensured we each had exactly what we needed from an always dander free room to fast access to the beach. Waking up to those Lake Huron views was fantastic.
The available fire pits and chairs made gathering and s'mores roasting so convenient, and there was a perfect view of the fireworks on Friday evening.
We had an issue with one of the rooms, and Martin took care of everything to the best of his ability as quickly as possible.
