We wanted to have a quick getaway up north for the weekend and to feel like we got away!
I found 9 mile point, and Thanked the Universe! I could not believe our luck!
It is very hard to find quality, clean, beautiful,secluded,Idyllic,private,comfortable with gorgeous view, private beach, and waterfront,Utterly Amazing masterpiece of Architecture, that The Home owner Bob built himself!
It’s a dream come true log cabin, which gives you the feeling of getting out of the world and into the 9 mile point getaway!. Bob is such a lovely person and host, you immediately know you made the right descision!
He shares his home with his guests, and allows you to enjoy all the amazing amenities  that come with booking a nights stay here!
Bob is a wonderful man and has an amazing story to tell, he’s the perfect host at a most idyllic spot on the lake. 
The sunrises snd sunsets are amazing, I meditated on our private beach ,we stayed two nights and it would be sensible to bring some goodies like food ect with you, deck chairs for the beach! Resturants are quite scarce in the area, Bob also cooks a wonderful breakfast , but come prepared, stay a while and enjoy this little paradise that feels like your escaping from the world, and finding a private paradise!!!!

Hubby and I stayed at Ninemile Pt for one night; it’s a gorgeous hand-built 6000 square foot log house with plenty of space to distance. It couldn’t be closer to Lake Huron, with spectacular views from some of the bedrooms that face that direction. Sitting rooms with balconies, plus outdoor decks, provide plenty of ambience and beautiful views. The live-in owner is friendly; he joins the guests for a simple but delicious breakfast. 

Quality Place

We stayed last weekend and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had.  The location is extremely close to the water, freighters passed with 2 miles - fully lit at night, dark skies and bright stars.  This should be the destination first and a place to stay second.  Bob the owner is a very unique guy -.extremely intelligent and great personality. We highly recommend and will stay again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hidden Gem

Several cousins gathered at the Inn for a few days of winter fun, catching I up and revisiting our families past. Lots of bedrooms.  Lots of bathrooms.  Lots of everything.  We shared the meal tasks.  Enjoyed delicious meals served family style around the big table.  Played games.  Talked.  And then talked some more.  Totally chilled out.  Beautiful winter views of Lake Huron.

My husband and I stayed at the Ninemile Point Bed and Breakfast July 23 & 24th.
A beautiful handcrafted home. The place was very clean and the location was just fabulous, right on Lake Huron. What a great place to slow down and unplug!! The prices were reasonable, just $10 more a night  than the best western, but that included a delicious, homemade breakfast every morning. We decided to stay here after we had read many excellent reviews.

The proprietor (and builder extraordinaire) Bob is a very interesting and knowledgeable. Bob build this oasis himself and literally left no stone un-turned. He can tell you the story when you visit him! Bob was very helpful with directions, suggestions and travel advice. Bob is an excellent cook, and the the food he made was delicious.

I'm pretty particular where we stay, but the rooms are very nice, they are clean and roomy with private baths. There is a beautiful sitting room up stairs with a  big tv and refrigerator to use. Next time we are in Cheboygan, I know where we are staying. You won't be sorry if you stay here too!

Beautiful place to stay!

Nine Mile Point is an amazing place to stop and slow down for those looking to get away from it all. I personally fell in love with this place (and more particularly, this area) as I am not a fan of super busy touristy, crowded places such as Traverse City, or Mac City which is still quite close for those looking to stay near the bridge without breaking the budget. Bob the owner is very accommodating and I stayed on June 9, 2018, and loved it so much I decided to come back again the following weekend (June 15-17). The place is great and the food is even better.  The only constructive criticism is that the rooms are slightly dusty (chair rails, table tops, etc), and windows dirty because the cottage is surrounded by trees, bugs get all over the windows. But the house itself was clean in the inside, and very high quality everything. There are several areas to lounge around and there are common area refrigerator(s) if you need to bring perishables. For the price you pay, you will not find any place better for a bed and breakfast. I would recommend to others and plan on returning again later in the summer.  P.S. This place is intended more for couples in my opinion, but we made it a family trip and the owner made it work for us (he even had a height chair for our child).

Awesome view, friendly hospitality, great food, and fair prices

We were two couples travelling and could only stay a night; would have loved to have been there longer. We had spacious rooms with private bathrooms and comfy beds. The home is magnificent with beautiful craftsmanship. Bob is a wonderful and interesting host! We enjoyed the sunrise over the lake from the shoreline (just steps out the back door). The night before we enjoyed the screened-in gazebo with the sounds of the waves coming in. This would be a great stay if visiting Macinac Island.

A Treasure!

My wife and I had a chance to stay at Ninemile Point on a recent tour of Michigan. This was the first stop and we chose the B&B after reading some of the reviews and finding this to be a great stop on our first night. We emailed with Bob before arriving and spoke to him on the phone to share with him our plans and asked for his suggestions on stops on the way up. We stopped in Frankenmuth and got to experience one of the worlds largest Christmas Stores and we were very happy that we stopped. We took a coastal/scenic route up 23 past Tawas along the lake to see the small towns and were happy that we did. We chose the upgraded room and found the directions on waze to be right on the money. A driveway lit up with a blue light was our mark to make the turn and head into Ninemile Point. It was distinguishable and easy to find. We arrived on a rainy evening and could hear the waves crashing as we got out of the car. Bob greeted us at the door and immediately we felt that we had made a great decision. He showed us around and told us about how the magnificent house came to be and the incredible detail that went into Building it. Bob took about 7 years to build the home and did not miss a detail in doing so. Each piece of the home is gorgeous. the covered porches and the attached screened in porch offered great views of Lake Huron. The bedroom was nicely furnished and included a mattress that we threatened to take with us because it was so comfortable. One of the many things you will notice about Bob is that he knows and understands quality in everything he does and buys. He took no shortcuts in building the home and no shortcuts in furnishing the home. We learned about Bob and his interests and his ability to live a well rounded life that is full of amazing chapters with many stories about travel, wood working and hosting. The chapter about Ninemile Point is still being written and we were happy to have been a part of the guests who have traveled through. The views from the tower in the morning were spectacular. The most special part of our experience wasn't the beautiful home or spectacular views, it was having a chance to cross paths with Bob. A wonderful man who continues to make a life that touches travelers from everywhere. Thank you Bob and we are already thinking about when we can get back to see you!
