I want to thank SEBASTIAN, the gentleman at the front desk of this motel, for his extreme kindness and professional behavior. He really takes his job seriously and treats the customers with great care. He made a real difference for me. I stayed four nights to attend an important meeting in Boulder. The location of the motel is very good.

This is an old-school motor inn that was renovated a couple years ago with a modern touch. We had our kids and dogs with us (2 of each, no problem) and the room (#107) was perfect -- its a suite. Clean, great bed, plenty of hot water. We didn't use it, but the pool looked nice. Walking distance to HOLY CREPE!, an awesome spot for (you guessed it) crepes and plenty of restaurants and bars and shops up Broadway (uphill going but not bad), as well as the University and Boulder HS (right behind). Did see a few homeless camps behind the building and in the park around the corner, so I opted to leave my car empty of personal belongings. No issues. Its on a very busy road, but sets off it enough and the rooms are separated by the parking lot, so noise was NOT an issue at all. Would totally stay here again.

Surprisingly Great

Just checked out the University inn. Short walk to Pearl St. Mall, stayed in room 210 which was tucked away in the back very quiet,  air conditioned, Super comfy bed, updated in the last several years, spotless, free parking and WiFi. What more can you ask for?

Old on the outside, new on the inside.

This is a motel, not the Hilton, and for being a motel it was great. I was pleasantly surprised at how updated the rooms were. It was very clean and had a large bathroom with a nice tile shower. We stayed 5 nights and it was perfectly fine. You cannot beat it for the value for the price. The location is great, you are right near "the hill" and a few minute walk away from Pearl Street. Having a grocery store right across the street was an added bonus. If you're looking for a clean, updated room for your stay that isn't going to break the bank, this is your place. 

Great

We looked at three places in town including two fancier options, and chose this one based on the price. We felt we got more than we paid for and were very happy with our choice. The location is an easy walk directly to the Pearl Street Mall and is right on the Boulder Creek Path. Would stay again!

Great service, clean and well-appointed rooms, comfortable bed, huge shower!

We've stayed twice now. The location is unbeatable - walk to University Hill, Pearl Street, farmers market, bike path, grocery store. Bathrooms are newly renovated and very spacious. Rooms are small but clean and cozy. Mini fridge and microwave in each room are nice to have. Staff is always friendly and efficient. It's not fancy but that just adds to the charm.

Great location - always clean and comfortable

We always stay at the BUI when in Boulder. It's not a fancy place, but has everything we need: A clean comfortable room with a fridge and microwave, very conveniently located. They have stopped serving breakfast during the pandemic, but Alfalfa's, the natural foods supermarket across the street has plenty of things to choose from. You can also get a first rate therapeutic massage from Massage Specialists next door, then extend the relaxation by floating in the motel's pool. 

Always dependably good

We have been to Boulder a few times, this was our first stay at Boulder University Inn and it will be our go to place from now on.  The quality of the room, the staff and location were great. The rooms were updated, clean and comfortable.  They provide a simple breakfast of cereal, yogurt, muffins, and juice.  Coffee was available throughout the day and very good. We postponed getting our rental car because we were so close to everything in downtown Boulder, we were there for three shows at the Boulder Theater.  We walked to all the shows and for lunch and dinner, never eating at the same place twice.  Boulder has a great selection of restaurants all within walking distance of the BUI. 

Will stay again, next time in Boulder

I asked myself if I should give the hotel a 3 or 4 stars review. I decided that the hotel deserves a 4 stars review, because of the excellent service I got at check in and check out.

The hotel can't be in a better location. It's minutes away from Pearl street mall. There is also a nice running trail (well, there are running trails almost everywhere in Boulder), that is excellent for a morning run.

I was at the hotel for the Boulderthon Half Marathon. And there is no better place for race morning. Such an easy walk for the start and finish line.

The Boulder's Farmer Market is also right next to the hotel.

The room itself was clean, with enough space.

At check in, I had a problem with my credit card, and I asked to postpone the payment to the next day. At check out, I needed a late check-out (so I could go straight from the hotel to the airport, without the need to store my luggage). Both requests were solved promptly. I was impressed by the friendly and helpfull staff.

On the down side, WiFi was very slow and spotty.

Defintely a place to consider for a visit in Boulder.



Superb Location

Good location, 5 minutes walk to downtown and Univercity, There was a homeless encampment on the way to Pearl Street. We didn't feel comfortable returning to the hotel at night. The room was of decent size, comfortable bed, friendly staff, free parking.
