Very clean & remodeled room. Continental breakfast, no frills yet, great for a stop when traveling. Bed was great, had to use steps to the top floor but felt safe & it was quiet. Do take pets for those in need. Price was fair, in a location near the E-way & lots of places to eat as well. Very busy location........but worked for me after a long day of driving.


Clean & Remodeled

the people were pleasant and polite. We requested an ADA room, as my husband and I are handicapped. The room was right beside a handicapped parking place also. We literally walked right in. The beds were comfortable and the linens were clean and fresh smelling.  The bathroom was equipped with safety bars and the shower had a safety bar on each wall. there was even a pull- down bathing chair.  The room was clean.  For the money I believe this is a pleasant place to stay. 
The breakfast consisted of biscuits, gravy, and meat. Fruit was available and coffee, milk, and orange juice also.  I have an emotional support dog and they were totally accomodating.  I would recommend this motel for a pleasant stay while on vacatiion.

Red Roof Inn was wonderful

This review is for the Red Roof Inn in Bowling Green Kentucky. (Had 2 rooms) 
First off they want a $250 deposit per room, yes $500 for two rooms!! And these double bed rooms are tiny! Extremely small.
It was absolutely one of the most disgusting hotels I have stayed in in all my life. We literally had to clean our own toilets that had urine and pubic hair on the toilet seats.
The comforters look like they had been there for years, dirty, cigarette burn holes. And this was in a supposedly NONE SMOKING room. There were cobwebs, dirt and dead bugs in every corner. The shower curtains look like they have never been cleaned or changed out since opening, completely stained brown with the bottoms unraveled and tattered. Mold and filth was coming out of the cracks of the bathtub and the sink where you brush your teeth. The "clean" towels all felt sticky to the touch. The smell of the rooms we're horrendous upon arrival and still only faded away moderately when leaving 2 Days Later.
The refrigerators and the microwaves were both ancient as well and dirty. There was literally rust and pieces missing inside of the refrigerator with one rooms refrigerator not working at all.
We thought that the black from the bottom of our shoes was from walking around outside but with taking our shoes off at the door upon entering and walking around the room in only our socks we came to realize that the filth was actually coming from the floor of our rooms. We had to change our socks at least six times while staying there, each time our socks blackened to the point to where bleach did not fix them. The TV was horrible with only some channels barely visible, the remote to the TV in one room didn't work at all and the Wifi didn't work. There were no "do not disturb" signs on the doors and we got woke up to someone trying to open our doors twice in the morning from 8 to 9 a.m.
If you're looking for sleep this is not the place to go, beds are hard air conditioners are faulty, smelly and loud. People are up at all hours of the night banging on the walls and stomping on the floor. One man literally stopped me and asked me if I could get him some drugs when we first got there. Lol.
I made the reservation weeks in advance but when I got there they acted like they didn't know what I was talking about! I had to wait an extra 30 mins until they could find me two rooms next to each other, which was one of the things the reservation was made for! 
There was one certain accommodation that I asked for that they said that they would have on the Red Roof reservation line and at the hotel itself when I called prior to going. When I ended up there they act like they had no idea about anything I was talking about. The man up front was  barely able to speak English enough to be able to communicate with me.
I've contacted and spoke with Red Roof customer service and said they would have someone contact me and to refund at least half of my money. Then the woman who ran the actual Hotel emailed me twice saying she was sorry about my "experience" and that was it. And now Red roof says since there are millions of people who call in with complaints that they can't possibly please everyone and this is just one of those instances where they can't do anything. In my opinion these places should be shut down because they are by far one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The pictures of the rooms online are like their absolute best of the best that must exist somewhere in California or something I don't know!! I have stayed in rundown motels in small towns better than this!
We're just hoping that our family didn't catch anything from there.
I will never stay anywhere that nasty again. I will never go back Red Roof Inn for the rest of my life! Please do yourself a favor and spend a little extra and get you a room somewhere else!! You won't regret it!
Absolute disappointment and a complete waste of money!!!

Nasty!!

I’ve stayed here a few times before on my trips from Florida to Wisconsin. In the past I’ve liked staying here for the price and not having to pay extra for my dogs to stay. The woman who checked me in was very polite and got me a room on the ground floor per my request. The a/c unit in room 117 needs cleaning. I turned on the heat and there was a very unpleasant odor that was much worse than the usual smell a heater makes when it’s turned on for the first time in a while. The furnishings in the room are all great, but the walls and ceiling of my room were in terrible condition. There is obvious water damage (paint bubbling on the wall and stains on ceiling) and the smell reminds me of the cheap apartment I lived in when I was in college. The building could definitely use a renovation.
 I wouldn’t recommend staying here as a single woman. A few men were out in the parking lot drinking and smoking, so it would have made me a little more comfortable if this red roof would have interior halls. I will be looking for somewhere else to stay the next time I make this trip.

Needs work

my stay was pleasant. room was clean and updated. only downfalls were having to lug my stuff up to the 2nd floor and how small the breakfast area was. It was a tight fit with multiple people in the room trying to get breakfast. It has parking for semi trucks but the access in and out of the parking lot is not easy. 

nice visit

A friend and I stayed at the Red Roof Inn while attending the GS Nationals Race and car show Oct 23 - 26 at Beech Bend racetrack. The hotel was undergoing renovations so not all rooms were available and there were some dumpsters on site. Our room was clean, everything worked, there were no odors, and service was as expected. Continental breakfast (free) was good. Within walking distance of several good restaurants and well as fast food restaurants (a new Chik fil A was next door).  Definitely would stay again.

This is a good inexpensive hotel

If you have stayed in Red Roof Inns, especially the exterior ones, you know that they are all pretty similar.  But the Bowling Green Red Roof was one of the nicest at which I have stayed.  It was newly refurbished, and my room had both a fridge and a microwave (I may have been upgraded to a superior king, but if I was, nobody mentioned it) and was very well maintained.  It is in a good location, right off of I-65 and near plenty of fast food and a mall. 
Although t.v. didn’t work, I didn’t discover that until it was too late to bother to change rooms.  I'd still stay there again.

It's a Red Roof, but It is a Good One

I brought my grandson with me. Easy to get into the hotel from the road. It wasnt a far drive for anything we wanted to do. The room was a little musty but all I could get was a smoking room. I had seen on other reviews about the hot water in the shower I bet alot of people didnt even look at the black thing to turn the water hotter. The beds were comfy. The room was clean. The breakfast was good the only thing I wish would have been available was meat. You get eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, fruit, oatmeal and toast. Now for the service, Maria was wonderful,very friendly and helpful. She would help me with figuring out the tv( I wasnt the only one that couldnt figure it out). The safe wasnt working so Maria came to the room trying to fix it,somebody else had to get a part to fix it so Maria offered to move me to another room. It isnt a fancy hotel but we enjoyed our time here, even the maid service people were friendly, always smiling.

Wonderful 2 day stay

Had a room on the first level.  It was clean and to Red Roof Standards with two chairs, mircowave, flat screen, refrigerator, clock radio, personal safe, clothes iron and ironing board.  Every day (9 day stay) the place was cleaned thoroughly by the maid.

Great place

Friendly welcome by the reception staff, and typical "Red Roof" facilities - basic, comfortable, clean room with mod cons for the tired traveller. Easy access to fast-food eateries near-by. Good nights sleep -thanks!
