What a stellar motel! I can’t give this place a higher rating. I stopped here for an overnight stay during the Thanksgiving holiday. I only stayed long enough to shower and sleep, and it was kind of a bummer because this is the kind of place you WANT to stay a little longer! My hotel room was recently renovated, very clean, and very modern. If you look at the pictures of the King rooms in the review photos (on Expedia) you’ll see a beautifully furnished, contemporary room. I was so pleased with my stay. This is exactly what we got, but it was so much cuter in person. The shower was brand new, large, and the whole bathroom was SO clean, new, and white. The bed was fantastic. Everything about this motel exceeded my expectations. If I’m ever driving through this part of the country again I will stay here again with absolutely no hesitation! I might even go an hour out of my way, honestly. What a breath of fresh air on cross country road trip! Thank you Cardinal Motel!

A lovely stay in Bowling Green

If you're looking for a place to spend the night on the road, this place is perfect, especially for the price.  The rooms were a good size, spotless, and everything seemed brand new. Comfortable bed, fairly quiet, despite being on a main road. Good location and easy access.  The owner/manager was very friendly and helpful. I always travel with my own pillow (although the motel's were perfectly fine) and I left it behind on the way back to Florida. The owner was very cooperative in holding onto it for me until I could arrange having it shipped home. The only negative thing I have to say, and already gave this feedback to the owner, is that the overhead room lighting was a bit bright and harsh, and it would be better to have small lamps on the night tables. But if you're just looking for a clean, safe, comfortable place to spend the night, that's not a big disadvantage. Would definitely stay here again.

Great basic motel for the price

This motel was totally rebuilt after a storm. It was well appointed, clean, and very quiet. Pete was very friendly and welcoming.  We liked it so well that we booked it again for our return trip! If you have any doubts...book it anyway.

What a nice surprise!

What a gem!!! This place is very clean and newly renovated, at a great price. Mattress and pillows were comfortable. Room had a fridge, microwave and a beautiful shower. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I’ll be back, thank you for your hospitality. 

A Rare Bird

Found this jewel last minute with friends. Close to downtown drinking and eating. Better than expected! Super clean. Thank you for everything. Front office staff was very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again. 

Jewel palace

Very clean, looked recently updated, new furnishings, smelled great and not stale like motels often do. Microwave and mini-fridge with two bottles of water. No bugs! Which is the first thing I look for! Very nice staff

Nice place

Just what you need a clean quiet room for a good night's rest.  The location is close to western Kentucky University and makes for a nice walk.  If you have a student at western Kentucky University this would seem to be an ideal place to stay while visiting. 

Quick stop 

I stay here for a week and a half each year while attending a seminar at WKU.  Reasonable rates. The room is spotless. The staff is very friendly. Parking right in front of my room is so convenient. Lots of food choices nearby. This is where I'll stay every time I'm in town. Thank you Pete and the staff!

Great place to stay!

This is a spotless and extremely well-kept motel. I’ve never seen a cleaner room. Very friendly and attentive staff. Was staying while visiting daughter at WKU and will definitely make this my go-to overnight stop.

Perfect Stay

I've always had a thing for older non-chain motels which sometimes leads to a less than pleasant experience. That wasn't the case here. The family/staff were friendly and courteous and the property was clean and in top shape inside and out. Less than 10 minutes from Beech Bend and plenty of food choices within a mile.
