Room was recently remodeled. Was clean, comfortable. Shower and bath fixtures and tile is new.  Everything works. AC unit was quiet, and kept temperature perfectly. Nice big screen TV ( needed some zip ties, but so what) .  No, the countertops aren't granite, but the room is simply well appointed and clean. 4 cup coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge. Hair dryer. And they gave us enough towels so everyone in our party could dry. Underpriced/overdelivered.

Does NOT live up to their 'Squeaky Clean" sign outside. 
Burn holes in blankets,  hair in shower, spiders in webs in obvious corners.
Perfect spot for Alpenfest, Gaylord, MI, can walk anywhere in town.

The room was clean and the bed was cozy.  Lots of extras like microwave and iron with ironing board.  The big screen TV worked perfectly with the remote.  The only downside was the "continental breakfast" it was nicely-chilled milk.  The "juice" was fake orange lemonade.  The only cereal was CHEERIOS!  The saving grace was location: absolutely right next-door to a great place ALPINE TAVERN will many beers on tap and a full menu of pub fare!

Great value for the $$

Booked a room here, but when i tried to call and confirm my reservation 2-3 weeks prior to my stay, was told they "couldn't see my reservation". Also tried emailing the hotel. Called and spoke with the manager when my credit card was charged anyway, and was told that i never called, was being charged, and there was nothing i could do about it.

The staff was friendly when I arrived. The outside looked worn but the room was fresh and super clean with comfortable beds and a large tv with a microwave and a mini fridge and a coffee pot looked like it was all recently renovated

Affordable very clean motel!!

To be fair. This was the only place around with a vacancy. The attendant at the desk was polite and kind. The rate was $140 a night. we looked and called for abour 40 miles around and could not find another room. The motel is tired and needs updating.we slept here is all. got up at 5 am and left because we were uncomfortable. If i had to choose next time i would just drive straight through.The room looked tired the kitchenette had chunks of wood missing and the sheets were thread barren.

I had crazy people in the next room yelling at 12:30 AM, I called the manager and he said he would take care of it. It continued for at least 45 minutes more, I'm not really sure how much longer it lasted because I grabbed my belongings and went to another motel. The next day I went back to get a refund which they refused to do. The manager said he called the room and the people said they weren't doing anything. All he had to do was go outside of the room and he would have heard the yelling. I will get the charges reversed from Visa.

Out first stay here was perfect. We needed a good clean place with comfortable beds and that’s what we found and for a great price too! Our host told us the room was recently Renovated and it was great! Even had a large flat screen TV, microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator. 👍

Nicely upgraded!

This room was over-priced. Desk staff was friendly. We had to ascend rickety stairs that were not level to an outdoor entrance on the second floor. Smoking was allowed in the area they called the balcony outside the room. It occurred to me if there was a fire in this hotel, I might not be able to get out well, because the place would go up like a tinder box. Breakfast was minimal--cereal, bagels and a couple of bananas--with seating for about four people. We would have felt better about staying here if the price had been at least $40 cheaper, and we would not stay there again.
