Great architecture for a time share unit.  Most guests even the though the unit is showing some wear are in awe of the resort and accommodations. the only disappointment was some guest who doesn't even own there, and there is always one that spoils if for everyone else, found a crack in the hot tub thought it was mold. Started a conversation about closing all hot tubs in the rooms

Piece of peace paradise

This property is certainly not what I would call a “Premier Resort” .   The unit we stayed in was ok, but was in need of updating.   The 2 bedroom units were advertised as having hot tubs.  It did have a hot tub, but I don’t believe it has been operational for some time.  The fact that they have  no Wi-Fi in units is also a minus.  In this day and age that is unacceptable.  Having to go to the office building to find Wi-Fi was very frustrating. The indoor pool was little more that an oversized kiddie pool.  It wasn’t over 4 feet deep.  The building that it was housed in was very outdated and not very clean.  There appeared to be mold throughout the building.  I do believe that at one time this was a nice resort, but it definitely needs to be completely updated to draw repeat customers.

Somewhat disappointing

I'm sure this resort is booming in the summer but winter is pretty dead.  Not much to do when there is no snow.  The unit it's self is pretty "well used".  The couch was filthy and the cabinets needed new finish or replacing.  We enjoyed doing puzzles and visiting but came to have an winter adventure and were a little disappointed.   The gal at the desk had no idea where any local events were.  Looking for open gym or pickle ball or paint class or bowling or just something to do.  We got a good deal on our stay but doubt we'll return.

Cozy Winter Retreat

Poor cleanliness in room, entry way to building, and pool building bathrooms, extremely loud neighbors with poor sound barrier between units, missing items in room, door unlocked upon arrival to adjoining unit,  no salt or sand placed on very steep sidewalk, extremely uncomfortable bed and sofa sleeper was like wires going in your back.

Very unrelaxing stay

Nice layout, views are great, location is convenient to the lake and local restaurants. Units could stand to be updated Carpets should be replaced and furniture replace. Loved the hot tub. Staff was friendly and helpful. We go every year and will go back again.

New Years Eve Stay

came to snowmobile - resort good location to the snowmobile trails and weather was good - had snow on trails North of the resort and received snow during the week. Made for a Fun vacation trip for all

We stayed during January, a very cold week. We were close to family so spent most of our time with them.  The kids enjoyed the indoor pool. Disappointed that the hot-tubs were down for repairs. Love the location and activities in the area.

winter Get-A-Way

Traveled to Nisswa with family to celebrate the Christmas holiday. Weather was bitterly cold so could not go outside. Unfortunately, the resort had next to no indoor programming, and what they did offer was pitiful. We stayed in a 3 BR unit 56A/56 (part of a six-plex); Furnishings were old and dilapidated. Horrible, saggy  furniture in living room and bad mattress in MBR. Downstairs apartment was cold and drafty; with leaky windows. Unit has no Wifi and no smart TVs so you cannot stream Netflix, Hulu, etc. Major downer since we had to be inside the whole time and the cable TV programming did not cut it. On the positive side, the snow covered trees were beautiful. Nisswa was like a winter wonderland. And resort staff were wonderful; very friendly and helpful. But would I stay here again? No, at least not in the winter..and not in the 6-plex unit. These units are old and not up to the standards we expect when traveling. 

Disappointing

I made this reservation months ago with the intention that I chose Causeway because it was one of only a few RCI resorts that offered In-Unit Hottubs, which were very important to myself & my guests. A month ago I called to confirm that indeed our unit we were staying at at a Hottub in the unit, it did.

Since then I recieved a letter stating that the Resort was going to charge an additional $80 housekeeping fee. Annoyed but still committed to the trip.

Then the weekend before we were going, I called to check on kitchen ammenities when I was told that the state had closed all In-Unit Hottubs at the Resort. I was shocked and irritated. So I wrote the management company that I believe a discount was in order since we weren't getting what we paid for. I heard nothing from them. So I called them on Thursday before we were heading up and they said they had nothing to do with the resort and told me to call RCI, which I did. They stated they couldn't do anything for me and that I need to contact the resort itself.

So I called the resort. I mention the situation, and mentioned the additional housekeeping fee, and with little sympathy matter-a-factly stated that they would not discount or refund any amount for this inconvenience. Like that, in so many words they said "Too bad for you".

Very unhappy with this and when I check-in, I will get a full explanation of this and why they don't feel any need to be responsibile for the product they sell to their clients!

In-Unit Hottubs Closed

Waited 10 years to get in here. Lovely condo with forest view (deer nightly). Handicap accessible. Access to great food and activities aplenty. 90 miles from home. If you like boats and boating, you will like this place. Next door to rental/marina.
