Great location for Silver Dollar City.  Adequate cottage with all the amenities for a comfortable stay.  We were there for 3 nights.  Furnishings and beds were average.  There was a pool right next to our unit.  Very friendly owners and the on-site market was fantastic, being very well stocked.  Great place for a family reunion.  Plan to return for a family gathering in the near future.

If you are looking for REAL hospitality---the sort you might experience when visiting a friend---coupled with the privacy of a hotel, The Cottage is great!  The location is well suited both to those who want a quiet stay near the water on Indian Point AND to vacationers eager to experience the liveliness of the Branson  76 highway! The cottages and rooms are very clean, inviting, and equipped. The well set up kitechen allows you to cook all your meals there if you like, but you are just minutes from many great restaurants as well. 
The on-site market will have nearly anything you forgot as well as many extras and basic needs.  Heidi, Tony, and their family and staff are deeply committed to their guests' relaxation and comfort, and the prices are VERY reasonable. One evening their was a brief power outage after dark, and the even brought up a flashlight. I  hope to stay there at least annually!

Wonderful place for MANY types of vacations!

This little gem was perfect for us. We were the only ones there. 
We went after Val Day. Branson was not busy at all. No waiting at the rest, stores, traffic lights. 
The cottages  were accross the road from the lake. We stayed in 106. You could see the water from the cabin. Our dog loved the screened in porch. This property has a stocked store four cabins down. Perfect for last min things. Overall very pleased.

Quiet getaway.  The Cottages were great. Dog friendly, stocked with everything we needed. Close to the strip, clean.

Our family discovered Indian Point decades ago. If you stay anywhere there, you will be traveling opposite traffic flow, morning and evening!     The Cottage Resort is a smaller establishment, with some history. We stayed in one of their efficiency units, the stand-alone cottages were all booked. The property was well cared for, albeit somewhat dated. No problem, though. Very clean, excellent staff, non-smoking, pet-friendly, exceptional wifi. The on-premises store was well stocked, decent variety, acceptable pricing. The rooms were reasonably priced. Walking distance from the marina, which features a floating cafe. We will stay at The Cottage Inn again, but we’ll book earlier to get a stand-alone Cottage.

Comfortable, affordable lodging.

We stayed July 22 during the hottest time of the month. We stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bath cottage which was right next to the market. The air conditioner worked great as long as you kept your doors open to your bedroom you are plenty cool.. Everything was clean the bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly. If you are wanting quiet this is a good place to stay if you're wanting to stay away from the strip in Branson or if you are wanting to be close to the lake this is a good place to stay . We used the market several times for things that we needed

Summer vacation 

We stayed in a three bedroom "cottage" that was on the bottom floor of the motel. We could see the lake outside our front window. Pool was clean and well maintained. They kept us in clean towels and the usual motel amenities. The whole staff was super friendly and the place was clean. It still needs to be updated as it appears to have been decorated in early garage sale, but we weren't there for the decor! 

Friendly, cheap, great location, clean. The only downside was one window unit for the entire apartment, so you had to leave your bedroom door open if you wanted to be cool at night. However, that one unit did the job for sure. I can't say enough about this place. Expect too much and you will be disappointed, don't expect much and it will blow you away.

New owners since my last visit

My family and I stayed here for a week and we loved it! The lake is so close by and there is a ton of things to do in Branson. We went to shows, visited Silver Dollar City, the Toy Museum, etc. Tony, the owner was very nice and so was the maintenance man (didn't catch his name). Our room was clean and quiet. There is s small market on site in case you need or forget anything. We used the pool and played games on property. There is a small area for kids to swing and teeter totter (see-saw). We had a great time. Convenient location, great place to stay without breaking the bank!

Wonderful stay!

I would like to preface this review with a few facts.  #1 new owners took over in early 2020.   #2 our room was updated since the pictures on the website.  (I believe that most of them have been).
I was so pleased with our stay at the Cottages.   The cabins were cute.  I was told by other guests that they were great accomodations.   For our stay, we were in Room 117 of the poolside building.   It was a 2 bedroom, 1 bath unit with ample kitchen and family room space.   The room was a great price, very clean and well appointed. The kitchen was stocked with the basic cookware and dishes that you would need for meal prep.  I would recommend that you bring your own beach towels for swimming or lake use.  Close to the pool was a nice little playground for kids.  There were many kids enjoying it during the afternoon hours.  They seemed to be having a great time.  Our group enjoyed the cornhole and other outdoor games near the pavillion area.  Most of our time was spent outside enjoying the resort and pool.  It appeared that the resort was nearly full but in the evenings we heard little outside noise.  It was a nice, peaceful enviornment.    
The Cottages Market was well stocked.  We were expecting that we would need a trip to walmart for some grocery essentials, but they had everything on our list and we never set foot in a grocery store or walmart.    
The location is convenient for those going to Silver Dollar City or enjoying some time on the lake. We had a few restaurants within walking distance, and many more within a short drive. The owners are new and were very helpful in finding socially distant options close by and taking care of our needs.

Great family friendly vacation spot

Great staff, ladies enjoyed kididng with my grand daughter, clean and neat place, well situated to nearby attractions.  We really enjoyed our stay. Pool was very nice and staff very helpful on places to fish.  Beds were comfy.

Hey, trip advisor users. This is my review of this property. These are my personal experiences while at this property. Take with you what advice you may. I will only review what personally I experienced in and around this property. If it is not in this review I didn’t experience it.

This property is not some luxury resort. It is small quaint cottages that are dated somewhat. Pictures I seen on the inside prior to booking looked as if some updates had been performed. I did like the fact it had a screened in porch. It added a nice touch to the cottage. Upon first entrance I immediately noticed a stagnant smell that seemed like the building had recently been sprayed for pest. The floors in the living and bathrooms room were large tiles. The grout did appear to need cleaning. The bedrooms had laminate hardwood style flooring. The inside of the rooms and living area did not have many decorations on the walls. Amenities like a fridge small apartment stove and microwave are provided. As well as cooking and eating utensils plates bowls and glasses. Towels are provided along with hotel style soaps. Overall for the price we paid per night 89.00 it was basically nothing fancy and probably shouldn’t be expected.

This is a good place if your not looking for luxury’s. There is a outdoor pool on property and play ground. We did not use these and cannot review them. Property was well maintained and nice. Lake is very very close. Boat launch just seconds away! 
Owners live on property. Only had one interaction. And that was turning in keys on check out. This is family owned I believe. 
Older buildings that some updates have been preformed. They could make this property a very luxurious modern place with just a few things done. Other than that if your looking for nostalgia or a quaint place this may be for you. I’ve stayed at many property’s in the Branson area. I have paid 89 bucks plus cleaning fee of 75 st a much nicer condo. No cleaning fee here. There are positives and negatives to this property. It depends on what your looking for. Very close to silver dollar city. You will Notice a lot of older resorts in the Indian point area. A lot need updating just like this one. I’ve stayed at others and have pretty much the same reviews. I wish these property owners would spend money and update. This could be a great area and they could charge more as well. A lot of people stay on these type property’s, I’ve never found any of them to be out right nasty or unsanitary! I would recommend this place if you are looking for something more country living or like I said above nostalgic or quaint. Please check out my photos I took of this property. This is unit 104.
