The condo itself was nice. Everything else was terrible. Management refused to call us back on a couple of issues we had. The fridge had a leak on day 1. We had to take care of it ourselves. They gave us 2 rolls of toilet paper and no Kleenex for a 7 day stay. We called to see if we could get more. They never brought us anything. No only that, they never even called us back even though we called them multiple times. We ended up going to buy our own toilet paper and Kleenex. The washing machine didn’t work and took our money. Waiting to see if this is something they will actually take care of or if they will refuse to help us once again.

Management is nonexistent

We felt that we didn't get what we paid for here.  It was reasonably priced through AirBnB ($130/nightish) but felt that it was incredibly dirty and hugely worn/outdated.  There is carpet in the kitchen and bath, with other peoples hair abundantly left throughout the unit.  The blankets, pillow covers and couches are holey and threadbare.  We literally called around to all of the major hotels in town and being February, just after Presidents day, town was full.  We were stuck here for 4 days.  If the pictures were more forthcoming or the description saying that it is worn, we wouldn't have booked it (that's just not us) normally I don't like to post negative reviews about places but I feel that we were fooled by this one a little bit and then forced to stay due to high season pressure.  I will say that we did not complain to the renter, due to the reasons stated above and if that is their personal "best", we wanted no further dealings with them.  Lastly, I received every communication from AirBnB in Chinese and had to have google decipher them (weird huh?)
Renter beware!

Unit B-14 It looks better in pictures - convenience is the only good thing here.

This appears to be a review of the Lodge itself. If you rented a unit on HomeAway or another vacation rental site, try to search a for the unit specifically on TripAdvisor. Our unit was D 26, and there is a separate review for that. 

The building itself (4 O clock Lodge) is in a nice location. Pools are about a 5 min walk. The Lodge is within walking distance to downtown Breck. 

Parking is very limited. 

As far as the units go, they seem to be managed by a property management company and as relayed to us during our stay, there is an ongoing problem with the cable and the HOA of 4 O clock Lodge so frequently the cable doesn't work.  



Unit D26

I was very pleased with this vacation rental. I stayed in Room #15C. The link below will take you to the photos and info on it. The room looked exactly as the photos show it so I did not feel deceived upon arrival. As it shows, it is a little dated but it was in impeccable condition and very clean. It was also clear that the owners had tried to do some renovation like an electric fireplace and new bathroom vanity. It had a full kitchen with every single cooking utensil possible. I mean even a slow cooker! My favorite part was the baseboard heating below about 20 hooks that we could put our coats and scarves and they would get heated by the baseboard heaters and would be nice and toasty for the next time we were to wear them. Awesome water pressure although they didn't fit the shower head for tall people. The view from the room was beautiful and showed the Four O'clock Run, which was very convenient. Just 3 minute walk to the snowflake chair and then you could ski right down to the door of the apartment. To say the least, the location was my favorite part. Only 8-10 minute walk to main street. 

The only downfalls: I had to pay the full price of my stay a month before my arrival! And if you didn't cancel by two months prior, you would have to pay the full price of your stay. This made me very uncomfortable in case of any emergencies or if I had arrived and wasn't pleased with the room, I had already paid and nothing could be done. 
-The WiFi was terrible and didn't work consistently. 
-Had to pick up the keys from the property management office in Frisco. This could be inconvenient if you didn't rent a car, although the airport shuttle services are willing to stop on the way to and from DIA if you pay extra for Door-to-Door service instead of just to the Breckenridge transfer station.
- Dated decor.

Pretty Great for the Value (#15C)

We rented #21 for a month. It's a one bed, with sofa bed in the living room. The owners have thought of everything and clearly gone out of their way to make it comfortable and like home.  We've stayed in Breck for the last four years, but this tops our list. 
It's right on the ski run, so we ski out to the bus stop (5 mins to a choice of lifts) and ski right back to the door.
We have everything we need. All amenities - even basics like soap, dishwasher powder, washing powder, kitchen roll, salt and pepper etc.  having been self-catering in Breck many times, this is exceptional  - and very welcome!  We also found some dry goods and coffee - prob from last occupants, but very nice to have!
Spotlessly clean too.
Totally happy and I hope to return!
