I had a quick turnaround business trip and booked this hotel last minute. The room was disgusting. There was hair everywhere in the bathroom and a pair of dirty socks behind the bathroom door. The carpet was dirty and there were bugs and even fingernail clippings. There was also food pieces and crumbs everywhere. Do not stay here if you like clean room! The next morning went down for breakfast only to find that they didn’t have the signature cinnamon rolls and the pancake machine was broken. The food they did have was barely edible.

Hair, bugs, food, fingernails and even dirty socks! Don’t stay here if you are looking for a clean room!

Overall, the hotel was clean and appears new or newly remodeled. It was slightly awkward to get to, not sure if that was because of road construction or not. Wifi was decent, and breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly. Our main complaint was it was very noisy because of I-10. It was so bad, I checked if a window was open (it was not), hence the three star rating. It was actually tough to get a good night's sleep, which was surprising for us since we had spent a long day traveling.

Nice hotel, but road noise is bad

Breakfast was perfect! The staff could not have been friendlier and more helpful. Enjoyed my stay completely. Great value for the price.  Internet speed was super fast.  I would definitely stay there again.

Great Breakfast! Great Staff! Great Price!

Very nice place for a mid-tier hotel. Seemed brand new and was immaculately clean. Nice tile floors in the room, which I like so much more than carpet. Rather than individual mini shampoo, etc. bottles, they had full size bottles attached to the shower walls; it's a much more environmentally friendly practice that I appreciate that some hotels have switched to doing. The hotel receptionist was very friendly. Check-in was a breeze. And, the price was fair.
Note: This is one of two Holiday Inns we stayed at on our 15-day road trip. Both were much better hotels than I expected. My memories of Holiday Inns from 20+ years ago were similar to dumpy Motel 6 quality, and I only chose these ones due to lack of options on this trip. I have now reconsidered my stance and will have no problems staying at other Holiday Inn Express hotels again in the future.

Nice Overnight Stop

This hotel is modern and feels like it will provide a nice experience when you walk inside. However, it’s lacking in several areas. #1, it’s built next to a pallet yard where machinery runs all night. At first, I thought it may provide a nice hum to sleep to, but at 7:30 AM I was woken by a wheel loader repeatedly dumping its bucket. It was obvious that a shift had started next door, and there would be no more sleeping. Also, my bed trembled all night. 

#2, the hotel was relatively clean, but it’s in need of a deep cleaning; dirty baseboards, stained and sticky carpets, repairs needed on damaged walls and tiles in the bathroom. 

#3, There’s no hot breakfast. I think that’s the worst part for me because I was really looking forward to a hot breakfast, like the advertisement. If you are serving bakery items, oatmeal and cereal in the usual fashion, why not serve everything? This didn’t feel like a COVID issue. 

#4, The employee tending to the breakfast area was more concerned with charging and playing on her cell phone, than answering my questions. Not friendly or welcoming at all.

Don’t let the good looks fool you; VERY noisy, sticky carpet, no hot breakfast, lax staff.

I wouldn’t stay here again. The owner uses COVID as an excuse to not serve breakfast as advertised. Their so-called “to-go” breakfast consists of, get this, a bottle of water, a breakfast bar, and an apple. Yep, that’s it. And it’s the same everyday. When I asked about it the clerk seemed almost embarrassed and said that’s what the owner decided. I also asked if maintenance could come and fix the motorized shades that don’t work. I was told that they are aware of the problem — she said that they need to be reprogrammed but they don’t know how to do it. Really? You have multiple rooms with these things, they aren’t working, and you just say that you don’t know how to fix them? If you don’t know how to fix them, bring in someone who does? I guess this goes with the owner being too cheap — to either fix things or provide a breakfast as advertised. Oh, and then there is the non-working GFCI plug in the bathroom that doesn’t work. It stays popped out in the off position and won’t reset. Told the front desk and after a week, it is still not fixed. What else? Oh yeah, no ice machine on the ground floor and the one on the second floor doesn’t work. So up to the third or fourth floor for ice. Which wouldn’t be too bad except that the ice is dirty. I alternated getting it from both machines and ice from both of them have gunk in the ice. So you have to pick out the ice by hand and throw out the pieces with dirt and grit or whatever it is in them. When you pour out the melted ice the next morning you see all the crap floating in the water. And one last thing. The last extended stay hotel I was at had a complimentary laundry for guests. This hotel also has a laundry so I went down there to do some wash, but guess what? Cheap owner again! Not complimentary but $2.50 for either washer or dryer. For the money, there are much better places to stay around here.

Find better value elsewhere

I have stayed at this hotel two times, each time for two nights.  Both times, the staff was very friendly and accommodating.  It's clean and the breakfast was good. When we were there in July 2019, we used the pool and it was clean.  We'll be there again in July.

Very nice!

Was in town for a wedding and decided to book at 2 night stay at Holiday Inn. Left early Saturday morning to return late that night to find that our dirty towels were pick up and we were only left 1 big towel and 2 small towels for 2 people in the room. They left no more coffee for the next morning. My 2 sisters also had rooms there and there rooms were never serviced at all. Not what you would expect from a Holiday Inn. I would probably choice a different hotel when I travel back to that area. Also the rooms are not very good for noise control, you can hear everything.

Poor room service

My family and I stayed here 2 nights for a softball tournament.  I’ve stayed at several Holiday Inn Express hotels in the past.  We checked in late and found the floors in the lobby and room to feel sticky.  The next morning we had breakfast which was OK but found the coffee to be weak.  After being at the softball fields all day, we returned to our room and it was not cleaned.  I called the front desk about getting some towels, the lady was very rude. She acted as if we were inconveniencing her to request clean towels and hung up on me when I asked if anyone could bring some up.  My wife went downstairs and the receptionist was out front smoking.  After waiting a few minutes, she came in and rudely gave my wife clean towels. She was more concerned about finishing her cigarette than helping us.  We will never stay at this hotel again.  

Rude hotel staff 

This motel is almost new and the rooms were clean with good beds. Our complaint was no light.  The room had no light to speak of. One hanging lamp, the deskside had nothing, no overhead or lamp.
The breakfast bar was a mix...the omelets included veggie and ham and cheese. No waffles, great sweet rolls.  The downside was the orange juice was brown and rancid and the milk was just this side of souring.  The small frig was well stocked but it was barely cold.  Breakfast was scarce for anyone who arrived later than eight even on the weekend.  There is almost no parking in this location and a huge RV took up five spaces.  We arrived at dark and the host was very nice for the evening shift.  Actually, the workers were all very nice, but the food situation was not acceptable.
