Totally awesome hotel for anyone interested in mining history! Room was clean and decorated with mining memorabilia. I planned to leave 5 stars before tasting the peach whisky sour in the basement speakeasy (speakeasy was amazing bonus and bumped review up to 7 stars)

We went to honor my father's bucket list! Beautiful hotel! We stayed in the vault room it was so full of history you will love it! And there is a Speak Easy in the basement! Cassidy our host was wonderful!

The ambiance of the hotel is wonderful.  Staff was gracious and helpful.  Having the 'speak easy' lounge in the basement of the hotel is very cool.  I would certainly come again for another stay. Only drawback might be the number of stairs to the room (as there is no elevator).


Digger Footbal Weekend

Great little hotel in historic uptown Butte. Rooms in this old building have been comfortably remodeled while maintaining their historic charm. Very, very clean! Very comfortable beds. Nice shower! Staff easy-going and helpful. Several nice restaurants within walking distance. Easy walk or drive to the college.

We have stayed here many times! Love the location, rooms, decor and staff! Clean rooms and friendly people! The speak easy is a great time! It’s nice to walk everywhere. Recommend to anyone!

Love Butte!

Great attention to detail in my room, very clean, and a perfect location to uptown Butte!  I got the deluxe room which was roomy and my shower had great water pressure which I always appreciate.  I walked across the street for dinner, fun bar downstairs.

Quick overnight in beautiful Butte at the Miner's Boutique

I booked at this hotel for August '22 in February and 10 days before our trip they cancelled our reservation as they sold the hotel out to a production company for seven months.  As a result, instead of accommodating  existing reservations, they simply cancelled us.  A terrible way to treat people and greedy.

Poor way to treat people

This small hotel is a converted bank in downtown Butte. It has offstreet parking in the adjoining alleyway. Each room is named after a different mine in the area. very friendly reception staff who were full of knowledge and pointed us to many facities. We had a large room up a steep set of stairs with a good shower and faciities. Coffee was available in the mornings in a communal area. The basement holds a speakeasy bar that makes great cocktails and is full of atmosphere. really well located for all central Butte attactions.

great little hotel

First a shout out to excellent staff. Check in was a breeze and she was very informative about the area. Later we had a problem with our TV and it was fixed promptly. Everyone very friendly and obviously out to serve the customer. Thanks. 

However, this is hardly a boutique hotel as advertised. It is a very poor reno of an old bank. How they got away with redoing it but not being ADA compliant is beyond me. 

We entered the lobby which smelled of stale beer making me remember there was a bar in the basement. 

The stairs and hallways are dark and dirty. Our room was small at the end of the dark hallway. The window overlooked something I’d never seen before. It was some sort of atrium that connected to the building next door and had fake Christmas trees decorated with little lights. The window sported an air conditioner making the only way to get air into the room was to leave it on, even tho it was 60 degrees outside.  

The”comfy” chair in the room was rickety. Made of wood frame it needed the joints tightened before someone sat in it and it collapsed. 

Our toilet seat moved sideways whenever I sat on it, and the toilet itself rocked back and forth.  

I have stayed in many historic hotels and this one isn’t the worst but close to it. 

The clerk who checked us in told us she had moved to Butte a couple of years ago from California. Adding that she could not understand why more folks didn’t do the same given she had a much better lifestyle for much less money. She said “all you have to do is lower your expectations a little”. 

If you decide to stay here, you’ll need to lower your expectations a lot.

Lower your expectations…..a lot

It’s a little funky hotel right downtown, and a little dark inside on the first floor, but we were very comfortable in the Vault Room (actual bank vault).  The checkin was easy and anything we requested was taken care of immediately.  The person who checked us in Jim? was so accommodating.  After leaving, I discovered one of my Air-pods was missing.  I called the hotel and they graciously said they would put in the mail.  This is not a Hilton nor a Best Western.  It’s different.  If you want to learn about Butte and get a little of the downtown Butte culture, stay here.
