I can’t say enough good things about this place! Heated indoor pool, sauna, very comfortable bed and bedding, big jacuzzi tub in room bathroom. This place has a lot of character and as someone who stays with Marriott often (on business), this is the type of place everybody should get to and experience. Will definitely be coming back when i pass through

Well worth

COVID19 limited access to recreation areas and breakfast. Owner was hands on and tried to make stay comfortable. Location was in quiet area outside of town. Room was dated, but clean and comfortable. We would stay here again

Good budget motel

This place has the potential to be amazing, love the location , the owner and  the size of the rooms.

But it seems that the owners are not paying atención to the property, just need a good TLC, my room was Ok.

The pool and hot tub area, is beautiful, but also needs some TLC.

Found out the owner is elderly and her
Husband died a year ago  , so she should get a break.

Overall , this is a nice place, don’t expect white and crispy linens , just enjoy the setting.

Nice and basic

We were worried, read reviews after we booked.  If you come to a $130/night room area to stay, choose a motel half the price, then complain it isn't top end...you have issues.

Nice owners.  Older facility that needs (and seems to be getting) a little TLC.  clean, quiet, comfortable.  Pool area needs some paint but was clean.  Mattresses were on the cheap end...but were decent.

Want the Marriott, then book one. Want a good rest and a soak in the tub at a good price....well here it is.



I question the motives of the bad reviews

We weren’t able to find much availability so we opted for the Northern Pine Inn. The owners were friendly, no issue there and check in went smoothly. Looks good from the outside, but I assumed it would be lacking from the interior of the front office,(Looks like it would have been very nice years ago. Now? Not so much.) however we’re not super picky as long as the room is clean so we went ahead and booked anyway. 

As we were walking in, My wife laughed and said “hey one of the best motels we stayed at was a $40 hole in the wall, don’t judge it yet.” I opened the door and figured out pretty quickly it was not going to be very good. First glance standing at the door I would give it a 5 out of 10. The room was made up, and it didn’t smell terribly. However when I pulled back the covers on the first bed to look for bedbugs, I immediately saw several stains on the sheets and pillow. The next bed was better and we only needed 1, so I thought ok, things will be fine. My wife wanted to soak in the bath after the long day, however she walked into the bathroom and turned right around and said “never mind.” The shower curtain had a nasty filth line all along the bottom and the tub looked pretty sketchy so she opted to not use it. At this point getting another motet was going to be difficult so we just decided to make the best of it for the night and check into another motel ASAP in the morning. We laid down and turned out the dim light, and all I could think about was bugs. Every itch or scratch and I was wide awake. Didn’t sleep very good at all. 

 This place has lots of potential for sure. I would love to buy it and do a renovation. The location is beautiful, and the outside is nice. I think with a coat of white paint, better lighting, and a good cleaning it would do much better.  I would rate my experience a 2, because if I had no other choice whatsoever I would maybe stay here again, but the chances are we’d opt to sleep in the truck instead. I did only see one room, so I can’t give an opinion on the rest. Maybe we just had a bad one? 

The owners were friendly and outside pretty enough, but due the lack of cleanliness and overall feel I would rate it the worst $70-$90 hotel I’ve stayed at without question. I would recommend not waiting till the last minute to book a room, and ask to see the room you’ll be getting. 

Last choice 

Northern Pine Inn has good pictures but the reality is far different. No vending, no games (the whole 2 of them) worked in the "game room", no microwave in the room as listed, dirty/stained pool area (we didnt even go in), beds seem like they're from the 90s and weren't comfortable at all and a musty smell in the halls. The woman at the front desk claimed we booked for 2 rooms when it should have been 1 room for TWO nights. Spend the extra $20 a night and book somewhere else!

False Advertisement

it was the worst place Ive ever stayed, the dirtiest place I ever stayed, sheets were dirty, blinds were hanging off the wall, police were showing up iat other rooms. People were sleeping, and Vehicles is almost like a drug l tried getting a refund to go somewhere else, and he would not give me my money back

Disgusting , dirty, scammer 

Don't stay at this hotel, look up all the reviews on every travel site. The pictures they advertise are not what you get. 
The rooms are disgustingly dirty, sheets had stains, carpeting was so dirty there was no way you could walk stocking footed. Bathroom was unusable. Owner would not give us refund. Only gave 1 star as there is not an option for 0 or lessssss stars. 

Don't stay at this Hotel

When I arrived he raised the price, pool does not work, no breakfast, sheets were dirty with hair, bathroom had hair all over.  Just filthy.  Police outside at another room below, looked like drug dealings

I have stayed at plenty of motels and hotels and I have never written a review until today.  The room smelled, dirty, stained towels, AC didn't work, vanity light did not work but I fixed that.  I can usually get by with this stuff but a liar and a thief is another thing.  He quoted me a price of 89, never gave me a receipt when asked but said he would email one.  I thought this was shady so I check my CC statement and he charged 121.  I called him and when confronted, he hung up.  Called the Sherriff and he said they had  a lot of complaints but they can't do anything.  I will be checking with my CC company but DONT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!
